They had just come out with new drinks and I tried 4 different ones. Almost immediately, I had wild diarrhea. I was driving my car and it came all the way up to my neck. This went on for at least an hour. I went to the hospital the next day and was admitted with an intestinal obstruction. Now I have liver damage. The doctor thought that they don't clean the drink taps properly, or someone didn't wash their hands after using the bathroom when they used the ice machine. To make it worse, the manager, or none of the higher ups, would call me back! My life has changed forever because of their negligence. read more

This Sonic has to be the worst I've ever been to, and I used to live in Texas, where they are on every corner! Forget driving up to the Carhop island. They will completely ignore you. And if you give up and go thru the drive thru lane, you will get some horrible food that you will be charged $15 for. Lesson learned. Avoid this place. read more

My husband expressed a hankering for a hot dog, one he didn't have to make and I suggested Sonic. Usually this isn't a mistake. Well, let me clarify usually. I grew up in the south where Sonic was like Mickey D's, a place you can find on literally every corner. Anyway, as to save a few minutes of time, and to use it as an opportunity to earn rewards, I opted to use the app. I ordered the hot dog with onions, lite mustard and relish, (which included an extra charge) tater tots for the husband and against my better judgment, a hickory bbq cheeseburger meal for myself. The app offered a pickup time as ASAP, or to choose your own time. Although ASAP was appropriate, to give us and the restaurant additional time (in case they were busy) I chose 15 minutes which brought the time to 7:25pm. The app provided the instructions as to how to proceed upon arrival, which included pulling into any open stall and check in on the app. This is when everything went downhill. All the stalls screens were dark, but I pulled in because the menu boards were lit AND the app told me to. I put in my stall number (5), and the app continuously indicated I had a connection issue. Nonetheless, the app itself worked as I could navigate through it with ease, as well as checking external websites all worked as normal. After trying several times, I noticed a message indicating if you're unable to login, to press the red button on the panel (second travesty!) I pressed the button no less than 3 times and there was no answer, not even static or music. I then noticed we were the only patrons at a stall, as everyone else was in the drive thru. I took a mental picture (I was too frustrated to consider a physical one) of the time, which was now 7:30 as well as there was no signage to suggest the stalls were out of order. As we entered the line, it was extremely long. Hence, it took several more minutes to get to the speaker to let the worker know we were there to pick up an in app order. I immediately remarked to my husband I had an eerie feeling that our food had been prepared already, and likely was just sitting either under a warmer or just again, sitting. Lo and behold, at 7:48, we finally get to the speaker, I provide my order and the worker indicated she couldn't find it. As I couldn't get back to my app I expressed repeatedly what the order was and finally it was located. By this time it is 7:53. I'm livid because not only had I already paid for the meal (otherwise, I would've left when the app and stalls weren't working), my gut again told me what was happening with the order itself. As I prepare to leave the speaker, a vehicle swoops in front of us, nearly side swiping our car (there were 2 more vehicles in front of that one). After several more minutes, we finally get to the window around 8 pm. There was no greeting, just awkward silence. So, I go through the spiel of what my order was (I wasn't asked, but given the confused and awkward look on the worker's face, I somehow read her mind assuming it's what she wanted me to do. My annoyance at this point is now rage as I express to my husband the food will not be fresh. I'm handed the order by 8:05 pm and the hot dog - packaged separately was hot, but the 2 tots and burgers were stone cold!! Because of my rage, I didn't confront the worker, drove off and stated I would address it later as I will be contacting corporate. Upon getting home, my husband's hot dog failed to have the relish (which again costed extra) the requested lite mustard was EXTRA and there were ZERO onions!! Needless to say, this experience was horrid!! I likely will never visit this location again or another one again. Corporate, I hope you're reading this as I will be contacting you!!! read more

My mama and I stopped here because she wanted a milkshake and never had one from Sonic. I personally get the blasts!! She got a medium strawberry milkshake and I got a Reese cup one. She highly enjoyed her milkshake she said how good it was and fresh strawberries were great!! She totally forgot the customer service from the drive thru guy was rushing towards her and so impatient. The ambiance was cleaned all the way around . She was even doing a happy dance in her seat! It was sooo good . She said we'll have to come back during shake happy hour!! but hopefully the customer service will be better read more

The wait here is impossible. I approached the door due to issues with the wait and receiving my change. I was told to close the door and wait in ninety-degree weather for someone to get me my change. This is after waiting for thirty minutes for the server to come back. Keep in mind that the order was for two (2) common Sonic blasts. I won't be going back to this location. read more

I'm not a big fan of the food here but their shakes, slushees and limeades are always a summertime hit so my review is based solely off of the drinks that I've encountered here. I initially went for my favorite seasonal summer slushie flavor of watermelon but the Salted Caramel shake overwhelmed me so changed my mind at the last second and went for it. It was just OKAY, and after the first swig I truly wished I had gone with my first mind. Salted caramel is one of my favorite flavors too but the salt content in this salted flavor was very overpowering, I dare not look up its nutritional stars for the sodium content for fear of straight flatlining but I just know that the salty sweet thing was not balanced out and for some reason it tasted super salty to me, I did not finish it, I tossed it after a few more swigs and trying to see what would happened if I mixed it around some more...no wins, just kept tasting loads of salt. Going through the drive-through went off without a hitch, I think I just chose the wrong flavor on this particular day. Lesson learned, always go with your first mind! My order is always wrong! Today was the last straw. Whomever the young lady was that was taking the orders couldn't retain anything. She even charged me for items I didn't even order. Very disappointed in this Sonics and have to say I will never return. They are slow, food is cold when it's given to you and it's always completely wrong without fail. When you do get to order there is a guy I don't know if he has a accent or what but you can never understand what he is saying. I had to tell him the last time to slow down and where is the fire. I wish I could give this review negative stars. I don't eat fast food except Chick-fil-A. However, I wanted to try the banana pudding milkshake because it's my favorite dessert that I make uniquely (see pic). I stopped by on my way home and it was half off so that was the only good thing. My "Route 44" drink (real fruit lemon-berry slush) was WICKED Awesome!! It was full of strawberries and a good hit of lemon. It was well blended/smooth and didn't have any annoying chunks of ice. The half price Happy Hour special made it that much more enjoyable. The food...well, let's just say I'm not hungry anymore. The burger was over cooked and the tots were just ok. I finally made it to Sonic in Baltimore. It's a fun concept where you drive up, order from your personal kiosk/booth and then wait for your food to be delivered to your car window. My server brought my food out on skates, which is the Sonic way! I've eaten at a few Sonics. This one is nice and new. I got the Diet Cherry Limeade, a cheeseburger and the tots. The sandwiches/entrees are decent. I think the highlight for me are the tater tots and the array of beverages. If you are thirsty, this is the place to visit. If you are planning on making a visit, the Sonic Happy Hour (half off drinks) and sunny, warm days are the busiest. Go figure. It's fun to go to Sonic, and it breaks up the fast food doldrums. read more

THE GOOD: Woo Hoo!!! Happy Hour here is the only reason I go here now (between 2-4). The drinks are great!! You can mix many combinations and the slushes are good too. When I get a drink I have to tell them light ice because the fill your regular drink up like it's a slush with ice. The Milkshakes are good too. All their drinks are great. THE BAD: The food here is not the greatest...but if you are hungry you will eat anything. The hamburgers are okay, if they aren't cold by the time you get home because it's just a drive-in/through. The fries are not good...nothing like BK or McD's...even Wendy's has better fries. The chicken tenders are dry, the hot dogs are always undercooked...need I go on...nope...I'll let you be the judge. THE UGLY: If you are in a hurry DO NOT GO HERE. There is nothing fast about this fast food joint. The service is extremely slow. You can sit in the drive through line for a good 15-20 minutes and then to add fuel to the fire, when you get to the speaker to order they ask you to wait again which can be another 5 minutes or more. RECOMMENDATION: I would only go for a good drink, slush, or milkshake. Otherwise I would go to BK. read more

Decent sonic. Line runs smoothly most of the time. Food order is always correct. I will say that sometimes the speaker by the outdoor menu does not always work that well so many times employees have difficult hearing orders. I tried the milkshake and they tased very artificial so I would not recommend them- horrible after taste. read more

First off let me say Sonic has a pretty colorful menu--- but those prices for a hot dog...I CAN NOT. Put some chilli on your own! Get a whole pack for $1.99. I drive up to the drive thru with my children to try something different. My 13 year old daughter said Mom, those prices are ridiculous. That was my que. Anytime the babies quote the prices? Yay! Sonic! I had been to the one many times down by the Eastern Shore (yes, we have had a Sonic in MD for a while. Just not near Baltimore!) and fell in love with the Cherry Limeaide with a shot of chocolate. And the fries. Oh, so good. I came here two days before it was supposed to open (they were doing a test run) and while the line was crazy, it moved fast. Service is impossibly friendly and prompt. The prices are right, and as an added bonus, the McDonalds across the street looks like it's about to cry every time I drive past. If you can deal with crazy lines, it's worth a trip. This place had my husband and I dreaming about being teenagers again! Why this place wasn't packed, I don't know! We were on our way to Frederick so we didn't do the drive in but watching the people there was so fun. The guys skated so smoothly out to the cars. I would have been all over the place. :-) It was fun to have something like an old fashion corn dog to order! We got the cherry lime drink that had cherries and two slices of lime at the bottom....Yum. Less ice would have made it a bit more enjoyable. The chicken poppers tasted like chicken....my first time doing chicken.nuggets in years! The mozzerella sticks were absolutely divine. Service was nice and fast. I got to say, the best thing about this place is the service! The fact that I can sit in front of that screen and make a decision as quickly or as slowly as I want is extremely beneficial. The carhops are friendly and helpful which is a plus. My downside was on the food side. I just did not like the fries. Everyone speaks highly of the tots, but I have never been a fan of them (I hated the days they served them in high school. Yuck.). So I have to knock off a star because I was not completely satiated. My first time coming to Sonic and the experience I just had I will neverrrrrrrrr come back again. They are absolutely too slow. It literally took them 30 minutes to bring out two kids meals smh.
