Worst "gold vermeil" jewelry I've ever gotten. Overpriced. And tarnishing in less than a month. So disappointed in my purchase. Wish I could return but they don't have a return policy--typical.

Came here several years ago with my sister who was looking for a nice gift for a friend of hers. I was sad that I had waited so long to check this jewelry shop out cause their selection is endless! I've always purchased cheapies earrings, but as I've gotten older, my ears can't tolerate nickel anymore. My sister convinced me to try silver instead so I browsed their store to find something affordable but chic. I finally discovered a brand that fit my personality and purchased a couple stud earrings to try out. The staff was very knowledgeable and happy to help out in any way. I loved the earrings I purchased and continue to buy from this store to help support local. I went online to their website this past week looking for more earrings to treat myself for my birthday. I found a couple unique ones that fit my style and ordered right away. The shipping was fast and my package was delivered with care. Upon opening the package, I was met with a Washington state sticker and beautiful tissue paper. Inside the tissue was a lovely note from a staff member and a tiny box wrapped with a beautiful bow. The earrings were exactly as they were online and I'm in love with them! I will always continue ordering from this jewelry store and supporting local

Love this jewelry store. They have so many options with different price ranges. There's even a good men's section. They recently started offering permanent bracelets and anklets and they have the best prices in Seattle. You can do silver 14k gold or gold filled. We walked in to get them with no wait and it was such a great experience we came back again the next day to get another one.

Honestly, this is definitely a 3 star store only because the jewelry they carry are varied brands that are trendy and cute, with some pieces that are timeless. They are moderately priced which is good. However, they need to work on their customer service skills a little more. The ring i was looking for, for the last couple of months, was a simple rose quartz ring. (I've been almost everywhere, even portland!) The girl helping me told me they didn't have any at the moment until I pointed at the ring sitting in the glass case. She was nice and I have no problems with her, but it would been great if the staff knew their products a little more. If they understood their stones, it would have been a major bonus, especially since their competition, Fireworks, is literally a few steps away from them. (Fireworks isn't their major competitor, but the store carries gemstone jewelry - and the staff was extremely helpful and one girl, i forget her name, was knowledgeable about the stones!) Still, I'm happy with my purchase and the layout of the store is easy to follow. The displays were eyecatching and evenly spaced. I will be back for some holiday shopping.

They sold us broken earrings and then would not return even for store credit. Very disappointing quality and customer service.

I love Local Jewelry and they are always so helpful and excited to show you new fun pieces! I've loved their jewelry since I was a child.

Their jewelry was not unique and felt like a chain jewelry store. I was honestly disappointed with the selection.

Baleen is one of my favorite shops in Seattle to buy handmade jewelry! I've been here multiple…read moretimes and my jewelry is still going strong, even in the shower. The jewelry is sold at a very reasonable price. They also sell products from other brands, like Baggu and Chunks, to name a couple. The staff is also very friendly and you can try on most of the jewelry before committing.

I had an awful experience and am pretty upset about it. Don't order online from them. They jam your…read moreentire order, no matter the value, into a single USPS package, which is only insured for up to $100, and with their brand plastered on the outside, making it a target for mail theft but impossible to be fully reimbursed for if/when the contents get stolen. After a number of emails back and forth, they were not able to send me the original mailing receipt which is required to file a claim with USPS, so it seems unlikely I'll get anything from the claim anyways. They even gave me a "tip" that I should look into getting a secure mailbox, as if that would prevent an empty box from being delivered in the first place. In the end, I spent $140 for a box with nothing more than tissue paper and promotional material. Oh, did I mention they generously offered to send me the products again if I pay 60% more than I already paid? Thanks, but definitely not going to throw more money in your direction only to lose it again. Update: Just to clarify, this is not a case of mailbox theft...I was physically delivered an empty box by the carrier. There is always risk involved with shipping, and as the shipper, it's your responsibility to ship in a way that reasonably reduces risk and puts shipping liability on the carrier. Since you put more than $100 of your product in a box that's only covered for up to $100, you put the risk on the customer. I can't possibly be refunded now. You also could have reduced risk within reason by not advertising on the outside of the box that there is jewelry inside.
