OVERALL: 9.17/10 (Yelp Converted Score: 5/5). I ended up buying both my fiance's wedding band and engagement ring here (as a bundle - they give discounts for that!). Verdict: I came here on a recommendation from a friend; I can confidently say that it was worth it! Starr was fantastic at answering all of my concerns and questions, and helping us at every step of the way. 1) VALUE FOR MONEY: 9.5/10. Given the comparison to other places, you really can't lose, especially when you pick a lab-grown diamond. For both a wedding band and an engagement ring, I paid less than $8500 USD (all-in), including the 10% discount for buying a "bundle". In my view, this is totally worth it, especially given the complexity of the ring design, and the size of diamond that we had wanted for the engagement ring. We had also ordered 18k white gold for the ring metal itself. As a comparison: the engagement ring I ordered had a center diamond that was "1.61ct lab-grown VVS2 E Oval" - a similar "natural" diamond alone (not including the cost of the ring or other diamonds in the setting) would run you (at minimum) $15K (for just the center diamond alone), even if you got the exact same specifications. 2) QUALITY: 9/10. The actual end-products were extremely high-quality, and were remarkably similar to the initial CAD drawings that we were provided. So far, the workmanship has held up - after just under a month, I am happy to report that my fiance hasn't somehow broken the ring yet (despite... sometimes accidentally trying really hard). The center diamond is gorgeous; the ring designs are nearly indistinguishable from the name-brand stores that we were inspired by. This needs repeating - Joseph Jewelry is incredible at customizing pieces to your specifications and preferences! 3) SERVICE: 9/10. From start to finish, the process was transparent and thorough. I reached out for an initial consultation on August 26, 2022; paid for the "initial" deposit for the CAD images on October 18, 2022; got the wax "models" of the rings on November 10th; after paying 50% (total) upfront, both of the rings I had ordered and paid for were ready for pickup on December 21, 2022. Talk about a fast turnaround time! (under 3 months - they were really on the ball!) One thing that I have to dock a star here for, though: I normally was working with Starr, but she wasn't able to be there when I went to pick up the finalized rings. Given that she wasn't there, and I couldn't simply "come back another day" (this was the last day before I was slated to leave on "the proposal trip"). Thus, I didn't know what to ask (regarding the finished rings), and the person who gave them to me did not walk through each of the rings, or show me how to verify the inscription on the diamond with the IGI certification until I prompted the person to help me with the verification of the diamond certificate (for the center diamond on the engagement ring). It took a bit more effort (on my part) than expected, but I got the information I needed, in order to leave, confident that I had the diamond and the rings that I had paid for. Had a really good experience here getting a ring resized and a very old, unique bracelet updated with an extra link. Tony was knowledgeable and helpful. I had originally asked for the ring to be sized to a 4.5 and he recommended a 4.25 loose, which turned out to be the right decision. Turnaround time was super fast. I also learned they have free lifetime cleaning anytime, which the place I had gone previously to get my ring sized only did free cleaning once a year. Will def be back for all my jewelry needs. I'm at the end of my custom engagement ring journey with Joseph Jewelry and I could not be happier. If you are in the market for an engagement ring in the Seattle area, but want something different than what's at all the other jewelry stores out there, this is where you need to go. Period. We wanted to design my engagement ring from scratch. I knew I wanted something simple, elegant, and timeless. But I also wanted it to be unique and a bit edgy. I decided on an east-west facing emerald cut black and white (or galaxy) diamond. It turns out the stone cut and dimensions we were looking for was like trying to find a unicorn. It took 6 months to find our perfect diamond and I was happy to wait. In that time frame, we were shown other options and cuts, but we just decided to wait until we found THE one. During this process, Joseph Jewelry staff were communicative, set expectations, and always followed through. I felt like we were in the best hands the entire time. I did want to make a special shout out to Tony, who mainly helped us, with the help of a couple of his colleagues. He's an awesome guy. He'll get to know you. First and foremost: These people are amazing. They make beautiful jewelry, and are a wonder to work with. Bobby and Andrea there were my contacts through my entire order, and I couldn't have asked for better people. they were extremely responsive, very professional, and went the extra mile on every single step to make me happy. I can't recommend them enough. My wife is a huge Macross fan, it's her favorite anime, so in 2018 I commissioned Joseph Jewelry to make the earrings shared by Sheryl and Alto in Macross Frontier. When I explained that I wanted to make earrings from an anime as realistic as possible using silver and stones, they were SUPER excited to take on the project. I sent them a few screenshots, then some pictures of the Cosplay jewelry that got close, but just wasn't quite right. They went above and beyond with sketching and rendering, sending it to me for review, and adjusting everything as I wanted it until it was absolutely perfect. I think we went through 7 or 8 digital renditions to get the details just right. I didn't know a thing about what stones would be best for each color, but they took the time to explain to me several options, with the complexity and price for each. Once I picked out what I wanted, they still spent several weeks to find the absolute perfect color stones, never settling for "this is as close as we can get." The cut required is quite complex and very delicate, and in the process one of the main stones was destroyed. They let me know immediately that it would cause a slight delay (expected for one off custom made earrings), but managed to find another perfect stone super fast, and never even mentioned changing my quote. It actually didn't delay them at all, though! The final details were a sterling silver setting, 2 custom cut natural pink topaz totaling 6.23 carats, two kite shaped cabochon custom cut natural London blue topaz totaling 1.41 carats, and two round faceted chalcedony stones up at the top. The set is absolutely stunning, and draws attention whenever she wears them. Bobby, Andrea, Pascale, and Joseph: My wife and I want to thank you so much for these.
