Came here hoping for some sandwiches or deli items but they had only coffee, so ordered a latte and an espresso to go. But I loved the selection of items in the store. It was really enjoyable and fun to browse there. If it wasn't for us traveling cross-country, I would definitely have bought a ton of stuff! I absolutely loved this little hole in the wall. As soon as I walked in, I was hit with the smell of a fresh cup of coffee. Surprise, they have a coffee bar! Who would've known. If I hadn't already had 3 cups just before, I would've been all over it. But just by looking at the menu, I know they've got something good going. The rest of the store is filled to the brim with every kitchen tool or device you could possibly think of. Yes, even that specialty wok, high-end knife, or vintage toaster. They also have a great assortment of high quality vinegars, oils, teas, and infused salts, some of which are available to sample. I highly recommend you sample some things, you won't be able to get your mind off it for the rest of the day. I wish the black truffle salt didn't cost $22. They even have matcha, which the only oriental store in town doesn't even have. I was excited to stumble upon Someone's In The Kitchen. The exterior is really deceiving, but if you love cooking, I promise you'll love it here. read more

Very nice selection of products for the kitchen. They have many types of brands. They even carried Victorianox knives which I liked to see. Any kitchen gadget you want, they have it. Whatever color and themes you want, they have that too. Definitely check this place out! read more

Lots of options, SAMPLES, & classes/workshops My partner and I were very glad to find this store when we moved to the Rapid City area. They have a large selection of high quality kitchenware including, Le Creuset, Nordicware, and Nescafe. Besides kitchenware they also offer lines of gourmet packaged food items and provide enough samples to make you feel like at a tapas restaurant! They also have a coffee bar and a working kitchen where they hold classes! It looses 1 star for the customer service. The staff always seems a bit confused whenever I ask questions, from "Do you have any other glass bowl sets available?" Reply: "We have a set of plastic bowls!" to "No, for the third time, can you please not gift wrap it my candy cane?" Reply: "You want it to not break?..." read more

We booked a cooking class for my birthday and the company canceled the class. We are being forced to take in store credit or choose another class. With us working 5-6 days a week and shift work none of the other classes work for us. Although the store is nice, store credit is not what I want to be forced in to taking for my birthday gift. On the website it says a customer can cancel within 48 hours of the class and get a refund. So why the heck can't I get a refund when the company canceled? read more

I've been shopping here for 10 years, love the products. Sadly, I'll never shop there again after the appallingly rude treatment I recieve today while returning an item. After leaving this & other reviews, I was contacted by the owner who extended an apology. While I stand by my original review & 1 star rating which was well deserved at the time & my right to leave said review, I have edited it & given 3 stars. The Owner has handled it to the best of her ability & hopefully this will be a learning tool for her staff, & she will revise her currently posted return policy to coincide with what is apparently the enforced UNposted one. read more

I was greeted and asked to sample delicious olive oils (which I ended up buying) and grabbed a coffee from the espresso bar which was made to perfection by Carey. Wow. I just called about some cooking classes, they're suppose to be a gift for my mom's birthday. The lady on the phone was short and couldn't wait to get me off the phone! Cooking classes are what my mom wanted so I hope she has a better experience when she attends. If this isn't what she really wanted I would happily get her a different gift. read more

This is the BEST local kitchen store. They have a huge variety of quality products and GREAT prices too. I just ran out of my 32 oz container of madagascar bourbon pure vanilla bean paste so I jumped on AMAZON assuming I'd find a better deal....NOPE...I'm so thankful to be reassured of shopping at our locally owned and operated SOMEONES IN THE KITCHEN. I've also taken several cooking classes and have LOVED every one of them. They are so worth the cost. I live in Sturgis and I recently took back an item that had broken several months ago. They were so sweet and kind and gave me a new kitchen aid paddle blade. I LOVE SOMEONES IN THE KITCHEN and encourage EVERYONE to shop there. YOU'LL BE AMAZED AT THEIR WONDERFUL SELECTION.
