I was called and requested to raise my review rating. Initially, I gave them a 3 star review, then…read morelowered it to 1 star. I'm going to raise the review while I consider this, but I'm still going to lay out all the problems that I had:
I like the shed for the most part. The repayment plan is fair. You have the option to pay ahead. I heard there was a way to pay online when you wanted, but I think you have to call and schedule this? I'm not sure.
For the points I listed in my review previously, perhaps in a more balanced way than before: There were several different delivery dates, all past the first estimated delivery date by more than a month. I was told that this was their busy season, so I did understand, but I became less understanding when I received multiple different estimated dates. Really should've gotten a concrete one sooner.
When a delivery finally was put in place, I had very short notice; I was told they were going to be out within an hour-- I had to be at work, so I had to reschedule for the next day, which took several phone calls because no one picked up. I will say it should be kept in mind that I think the person I was trying to call was on their truck already.
The next issue I had was that my payments were taken out on the wrong day (the fifth instead of the twenty-first). This is a major difference, and this is the point that is still a major sticking point for me for two reasons. The man who called requesting this review be changed insisted he fixed the issue quickly. He did. When I told him about it, he refunded it immediately.
But I do need it to be kept in mind that this is a major purchase. I have other loans/bills to pay and need to time this. I didn't get overdrawn, so on a practical level, no, it wasn't a big deal, and, yes, he fixed it in a timely manner. But someone else could have easily been overdrawn by hundreds of dollars. Perhaps thousands if their repayment/purchase were different than mine.
The second issue I have with it is the reason it happened in the first place. They had two contracts for me. I only signed one, stating the payments were to be taken out on the twenty-first. The payment plan initially gone with was for a plan I did not authorize. It shouldn't have been an issue to begin with, and it's disconcerting that the contract gone with was one I know I didn't sign.
So... do I like the product? Yes (Though it did have some cosmetic damage on delivery, this wasn't a huge deal)
Do I think the price is fair? Yes.
Am I willing to boost the review from one star? I guess. The end result was nice, even if the rest of it was a pain.
Would I recommend this service? Yes and no. Reasonably well-priced unit that you don't have to pay for outright. The interest rates are probably standard in that you'd end up paying a bit more than double through payments than if you paid it outright. But not having to save up for it makes that part worth it. And now that it's straightened out, the payments are going smoothly. But I'd be hard-pressed to make another purchase, anyway, given the sticking points listed above.
