Food is decent takeout but customer service is not! Rude and rushed in drive thru. Customer always right but somehow the night mgr thinks otherwise. He said" we dont make mistakes" meanwhile he forgot my beverage. Another restaurant would provide customer service satisfaction by expressing empathy . We went to the Chandler location and had dinner here, The staff was nice but we had issues with the chips that they serve, these were all pretty much in little pieces like they were crushed, and the salsa was very watery and the beans were a little dry and not fresh, the guacamole was very salty, we have eaten at different someburro locations and have luck in the past but this time it wasn't that great. read more

I am very impressed by Someburros. This place is kind of a fast foodish mexi spot but on another level. Their staff is so courteous and friendly. Only waited about ten minutes for my food and it was delicious! The taquitos are great and crispy and the guacamole is fresh fresh fresh!!!!! The quesadilla with red chili is amazing! And you can't go wrong with bean and cheese burro enchi style. They also provide fresh tortilla chips and a squirt bottle of hot sauce (I love it when places do that). I came here for my birthday meal and for a fast casual Mexican restaurant, it's pretty decent. I'd say better than a chain competitor especially for their bowls. I got a shredded beef bowl without tomatoes. The bowl was filling and a decently sized portion for the price. The rice and food was bland though. The salsa they provide can fix that easily and that's probably the point. The chicken fundido meal was also pretty good. It was interesting to have a deep fried burrito, that was néw. Finally the horchata was tasty and so was the churro which I got from the VIP text club sign up. Unfortunately, I have to update this review and take it down a star. Over the last few months, they have not changed the drive thru policy. Customers are still asked to pull into the waiting space, regardless of whether or not there are other cars in the line. This is a waste of time for all involved and very annoying. Additionally, they have started charging for chips! Even when you buy guac or salsa, they are not included. This is very poor hospitality and an effort to nickel and dime their customers and shift rising costs. Free chips are standard at Mexican food restaurants across the valley and it's especially sad when they can't give them for free with the purchase of chips or guac. The prices for the chips are also insane! $6.35 for a large bag of chips? They aren't even very good. read more

Something's up here that's not good restauranting. I tried. I tried repeatedly. But something is "odd" here, not the least might be sabotage. I know this for certain: no more benefit of the doubt. My experience here is, the food is good. Been/ordered 3 times. The service is horrible. They're polite but with so many omissions s and mistakes, they're unqualified. They're so incompetent they can f-up a 2-car funeral. My friend ordered 2 tacos and they got it wrong. How is that possible? It's not. Not unless you're trying to f- it up. On my first visit, I got one chicken /one beef enchilada. I was so hungry I forgot to order any sides like guac or beans. All in all, it was delicious. Both chicken and steak were excellent. Seasoned? Yes. Chicken breast meat for sure. Onions? Not nearly enough. [Please note: any enchilada, every enchilada must have 2 components to BE AN ENCHILADA: *corn, not flour tortilla and *onions] It's not an enchilada w/o corn tortillas & onions. Second try: DoorDash delivered. Again, delicious. On the 4th bite: a hair in my food. OK. Mistakes happen. Employee screwup. Had to toss it. Next day when I spoke with a manager, I told him I wouldn't write this in a Yelp, because accidents do happen but the carelessness AFTER the hair is starting to anger me, so all bets are off. And here we are. More errors than should be. Asked for more onions in the enchiladas: 3 times, not done once. Ordered 1/2 pint green sauce, for like $3.25-$3.50, see photo below green sauce NOT NEARLY A FULL PORTION. THAT IS INSULTING. And the same sized hot sauce was filled up but not the green. Sheesh. And now, worst of all, insult to injury: sent a friend over on Wednesday evening -- on my recommendation. The simplest of orders: wrong. Said he waited -- in the restaurant -- for 15 minutes to give his order. One woman only working the line--slowly, another male employee only chatting up the attractive to-go woman and he paid my friend NO attention. None. Then, after 15 min, he turned and asked my friend and asked, "Are you ready to order"? Yeah. 14 minutes ago. Fake. Poser. Is he the manager? That's not bad enough, my friend got home and his ridiculously simple order of "2 beef tacos" was not in the bag. He got, instead, one taco + taquitos. Only a putz eats taquitos. Making a mistake like that is personal and vindictive. You don't change or mistake 2 tacos for one taco + taquitos without TRYING to screw up this order. Or something. I would tell the manager either his crew is sabotaging orders or doesn't give crap. And I guarantee you whoever gave these people the millions of dollars it took to open this facility give a crap. Keep it up, Someburros. You'll be an Arby's before you know it. Before I go: hot sauce too sweet. I'm not coming back to a restaurant that doesn't hear or care what I want: extra onions ordered 3 different times, never delivered. That's WORSE than the hair a in my food. This is a hard one for me. I love this restaurant chain, family owned and every time I have been to one of their restaurants it has been amazing. Waited in line for 2 hours on opening day to get free burritos for a year. I give that 5 stars! Unfortunately when we got into the restaurant and ordered our food the enthusiasm wore off quickly. I will say that everyone was so friendly and accommodating. The food on the other hand was sub par.... 3 stars at best, average those 2 and you get 4 stars for the review. My breakfast burrito was super dry as there was only egg, beef and potato in it. No beans, salsa or anything else. My sisters chicken burrito only had about 4 pieces of chicken in it so it was basically a bean and cheese burrito. To make matters worse we ordered food to go and both those burritos were wrong. I understand it was opening day and they were slammed so I will kind of give them a pass on this. I hope the next time we dine here it is better, hate to have a burrito card and not want to use it. read more

I told them it my BDay-(doesnt mean anything here) I usually always get the red chili burrito with cheese on the inside but I decided to try something different. -salsa & chips were excellent -the food came out REALLY fast almost as if it was already done- too fast really - the chicken in the fundido was VERY dry 5 out of 10 -The taco was a 9 out of 10 pretty good -the enchilada was a little dry 7- out of 10 -the beans in the tostada & on the plate were bland 2 out of 10 -the albondigas soup was COMPLETELY tasteless and over cooked no cilantro 1 out of 10 worst i have ever tasted the Ice teas seemed old I should have just ordered the red chili burrito with cheese on the inside with sour cream. Very good for the price. Once in a while they have an employee that leaves a lot to be desired, but they are gone soon. My only complaint is the music in the men's restroom is way too loud. This was a great place. I was expecting a more traditional Mexican Restaurant. I don't know why. But we stood in line to order and took a number and found our table. But one of the best Mexican meals I've had.(and I'm from LA) I had the Borracho Burro. Each of us had a different Burro and we were all quite pleased with the flavor. The rice and beans weren't memorable but weren't horrible. * Tacos combo, with rice and beans: came with two carne asada tacos in corn tortillas. My daughter ate then and said they were good. Chips and salsa: I'm a chips and salsa enthusiast and I was definitely not impressed. We got 4 small bags of chips and literally every single bag was crushed up chips. Salsa was bland. I don't know that I would return. Food was boring, the restaurant is not allowing any seating in restaurant, service wasn't amazing, and the price was abit steep. 2 meals and 2 drinks came out to $29. The tortillas on the soft tacos are trash. Basically thick dry and bland Mission tortillas you get at Frys right out of the bag. Very disappointing. And tonight's onion to meat ratio was like 50:50...? :( The rice and beans are great. The frozen margarita could have been virgin as far as I could tell. 4 stars because I KNOW they have better food, and I will simply skip the tacos in the future. I literally just got a margarita and chips & guacamole and it was $20 Most mediocre and expensive chips and guac I've ever had.

Someburros is usually okay, but this time the experience was terrible, compelling me to write about it. When we arrived, the restaurant was nearly empty, with only two other people. We ordered food, and I ordered a beer. The lady said, "I'll bring your beer right out." After several minutes, with the line growing, I went to the counter, but no one acknowledged me. I called out to the girl who took our order, mentioning I was still waiting for my beer. Jokingly, I said, "You forgot about me, didn't you?" She didn't apologize, simply stating she was too young to serve beer. Why didn't she inform me earlier? It would have been easier than making me wait. Finally, someone poured my drink. On my way back, I passed the young lady who couldn't serve, and she didn't apologize. Another young lady brought our food, which was decent. She asked if we needed anything else, and with a long line, I said, "I know I won't be able to order another beer. Can you please bring me a water glass?" She said, "Sure, I'll bring that right out." Unsurprisingly, I never received the water glass, and rather than jumping the line, I did without. Lastly, a man who appeared to be a Latino manager with a ponytail should probably be in the back cooking. He had no smile or greeting, looking bothered by customers. He always seems that way. The owners need to observe him secretly. The entire experience was terrible, prompting me to post this on FB and Google. As a business owner, this kind of service is unacceptable in my establishment. read more

Went last night 7pm for tacos because it was National Taco day and they are out of CRISPY TACOS. OMG SOMEONE FORGOT TO ORDER ENOUGH FOOD. Really this should never happen. The more we go the more it grows on me. The food I have tried has all been very good. It's pretty much straight forward and what you would expect. The chips are so warm and thin but it's a shame they don't have salt in them. And the frozen margarita is too frozen. If you find yourself in Central Phoenix's restaurant row (the stretch of 7th Street between Camelback and Bethany Home Rd.) and want to eat well without spending a lot, this is a good place to go. You'll find a spacious and bright interior, casual relaxed atmosphere, and very friendly service. The restaurant serves the family-owners' take on several standard Mexican favorites served in good portions. I especially liked their Someburros bowl - meat (I chose the green chili beef version), rice and beans, guacamole, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes; it was a most satisfying lunch. My husband and I tried Someburros for the first time tonight. I wasn't sure what to expect, the reviews are good. The food is better than mexican fast food but not as good sit down restaurant mexican food. We tried the pollo fundido, shredded beef taco, red chili tamale and cheese enchilada. First off, everything is spicy. To spicy for me. That's just personal nothing they did that was off. I'm a mild- everything was medium or hotter just fyi. The shredded beef taco was good, dripped oil though. The cheese enchilada was good and the sauce on it was tasty. My husband liked the pollo fundidio The pico and the salsa were to hot for me. Red beef tamale was to hot for me. The beans and rice not bad or memorable. The free churro was stale. I personally won't order from there again. $ vs value/taste doesn't work for us. If we ever did go again, we would probably just order tacos. read more

I order someburros on the reg. This is the location closest to me, and they do a great job with take out. They have online ordering and a drive thru pick up window. It's convenient and tasty. Someburros also offers periodic specials for teachers, which is really nice of them as a company. If you haven't been, you should give them a try! read more

3.5 stars, rounded up. Came here after craving some Mexican food. This felt a little bit Americanized, but still hit the spot. I ordered a pollo fundido, both because it was recommended by the cashier and because it was a daily special (+$1 for a drink). They give you a little tray of chips and your choice of salsa in a squeeze bottle while you wait. They weren't anything special, but free is free. My coworker's order came out after about 5 minutes, but mine didn't and I eventually made my way to the register after about 20 minutes. Seemed like the kitchen forgot to send it out, so it came out shortly to the table with an apology from the (presumed) manager. The pollo fundido was similar to a chimichanga, although not nearly as greasy or fried as I'd expect, which was actually a positive for me as I didn't want it to be too heavy. Chicken was a little dry, but not overly terrible. It went well with the sour cream on top and the soft, buttery inner portion of the tortilla. The rice was really good, some of the best I've had at a Mexican restaurant - slightly flavored and not dry. I'd definitely want to order something that comes with rice next time. The non-soda drink options were pretty good. They had a fresh squeezed lemonade (with real pulp) and horchata that I tried, both were good enough that I'd have a dilemma on which I would get next time. Excellent food and excellent service! We received a post card in the mail for a free entree and stopped in for it on a Tuesday to check out the $2 tacos too. The gentleman working at the register was SOOOOOOO nice! And he was wearing donkey ears which I thought was hysterical. We ordered the Rod burrito and ground beef tacos, some with potatoes and some without. They were sooooo good! And their salsa is awesome and pretty spicy. I like the food a lot. But I also like to order ahead and pick up in the drive thru (as I have for years at various licati. Now people can order in the drive thru so it takes forever. This is not fast food, I do not understand changing how their drive thru works. I come here just about every Friday night on my way home, but will probably not do it anymore. If I have to walk in to pick up, there are a lot more options. Update: went to drive thru and placed order. Taquitos we're missing guacamole (which it comes with).
