A very old school burger spot in a major intersection in the Heights. This was part of a larger chain at some point but this is the only location that I've seen. Parking is a bit limited but there's a few spots. Seating is outdoors and quite hot. The menu is comprised of old school burgers and fries and all drinks are bottled. For the product, it's quite expensive; the burgers / meals are more than $10, which is fairly high for what it is. The burger is fine, it tastes a bit like an old school mom and pop style burger. The buns are pre-made and the toppings are a bit like old Whataburger. It's a fine burger.

Very simple spot and perfect for eating outside on a pretty day. It has that food truck vibe--just without the wheels. I personally loved the crispy fries that came with the burger; they were definitely the highlight for me. It's a great place to grab a quick bite, and honestly, much better than a typical drive-thru.

I don't know how I've never come here until today. These might be the best onion rings in Houston. They're the right thickness. Very nice light crunchy batter. Not oily and the least nor do they taste of oil. And this probably goes without saying, but the burger is also great.

Nothing burger? Nah, that's Some burger alright. Solid patty, tender n juicy. Great waffle fries too. 8/10 burger. Not as cheap as you'd expect. Worth it tho

This is a solid burger. I totally would come back here instead of a fast food chain. The veggies were fresh and the meat was flavorful. The seating was outdoor only, but many people were eating in their cars. The staff was friendly and quick.

I grew up with this place being down the street from my childhood home in The Heights. It's still a great old fashioned burger!

Some burger with cheese and onion rings. The burger is fresh and hot plus juicy. The associate was accommodating and accurate. The ambiance is nature filled but pleasant today.

The burger was sensational, as expected. Held up nicely and was pretty big. The Frito Pie? Otherworldly, next level. Was it fancy? No. But almost the Platonic ideal of a Frito Pie. Brought it back to my office, I will definitely return.

Finally tried this place and I must say it was very good. Freshly cooked to order and you can't bet the price.

The fries are the best part of this place. The burgers are somewhat ok. It's better than McDonalds!

My last two visits have been mediocre. The cheeseburgers are slightly overcooked and just not as good as the first one.

Frozen bland unoriginal burgers. If you are in the area do yourself a favor and head to Five Guys, Hubcap Grill or Christians Tailgate.

Burger was pretty good but the chocolate malt was thrown out. Thin and tasteless and definitely not worth the calories.

This place hasn't changed a bit even since I was in high school with good tasting food at good price. I hope it'll never change and leave.

Super popular burger spot in Houston - but is it worth the hype?…read more It is a build your own burger concept with fast service. Food comes out quickly and you are able to modify it however you want! There are coloring sheets for children and wifi. Lots of seating to eat (both indoor and outdoor). There is a soda fountain and water that is self serve. Definitely a place to hang out with friends/family and grab a quick bite to eat. loved the SWEET SOURDOUGH as the bun since it was slightly sweet and had a nice squishy like chew. The sourdough element really gives it that tug that I love in bread. the patties are thin, lacy, and smashed. Nicely salty and seasoned. for the sauce I would recommend the SCALLION AIOLI since it was warming and garlicy adding a really nice punch of flavor. the SWEET POTATO FRIES were a delicious side (crisp, piping hot, tasty). Overall I have not much to knock burgerchan on - besides their lack of lettuce wraps as an option haha but they do offer your burger on a bed of lettuce. they also have super fun unique milkshakes like vietnamese coffee, black sesame, etc (I'd try that next time). lots of sides and protein patty options in case you don't eat beef. they also have chicken, turkey, and falafel.

The staff, manager or owner, even takes time to stop by to tables to speak to the guests. We dropped by on Tuesday for dinner. I wish I saw the Icee machine before I ordered my fountain drink! I had the bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries and throughly enjoy the size of the burger. The fries were great, generous portion. My husband's chicken club sandwich with regular fries was also delicious! We got the order within 10 mins, didn't take too long. They have big patio seating, clean indoor seating, some arcades to keep the kiddos (or me) busy while waiting for the food. There are plenty of self-service condiments as well. Clean bathrooms, good amount of parking. This is one of my new favorite place for burgers!

Luckily our server was able to move us to the covered outdoor seating after a little while which was a little better. The covered patio has fans. However, bonus for sitting outside is that they're having a promo during HRW where happy hour drink specials are going on all day. The food and drinks were all yummy though. We got the yum yum fries for the table to share. I ordered the duck duck shroom pizza and the aperol spritz. The portions of everyone's food were huge so I'd say a good bang for your buck. We experienced multiple servers with our table switch and they were all nice and helpful.

Getting seated was a little chaotic. Indoor seating was pretty limited and not managed well. We end up sitting on the patio (still pretty toasty around sunset time). The giant pretzel we ordered for appetizer was excellent, highlight of the meal. The sourdough pizzas were pretty thin, overall I'd give the pizzas a 3/5. Of the 4 pizzas we tried, my personal ranking: 1. Spicy Goat 2. Duck Duck Shroom 3. Heirloom Margherita 4. Sweet & Spicy Pepperoni. Service was also disorganized and a little slow. I'd come back if I'm craving that pretzel.
