Had to stop in here for an online order pickup (or so I thought). I really only seem to go to Kohls…read moreduring the holidays, due to their great deals. Their parking lot gets filled pretty quickly, so while they appear to have ample parking, sometimes you have to park pretty far away. When I entered, I went to the back, where I thought online order pickups would be. I had to pick up two separate orders, one for my dad, and then one for an order I placed yesterday. When I arrived, I went to the back, but this was the self serve pickup. Being totally confused, I asked an associate, I gave her my order number and she says, I don't think it's filled yet after checking and there being no record of the orders. I wound up leaving, then because I didn't want to come back, I downloaded the app and noticed one of my orders, the most recently placed one was canceled, due to the item being out of stock. I came back in, asked an associate about the order my dad placed. Come to find out one of the items in his order, the one that was for pickup was also canceled due to lack of inventory. I wish Kohls would do a better job of making sure items are in stock before allowing you to pay, and then saying your order is good to go.

I had the most magical private shopping experience this evening at declaration & co. Not to mention…read morethe Easter egg hunt with goodies inside the eggs including a $5 coupon. Oh and did I mention complimentary champagne. My friend Vanessa RSVP'd for us to attend a private shopping event. She posted on IG a few months ago and the store looked charming so I asked her to take me next time. We checked in upon arrival and were offered one of three Easter themed mimosas. Yes, please and thank you;) We browsed candles, cloths, greeting cards , jewelry, candy, Easter baskets, moisterizing face masks, mugs, cups, books, journals, small bags and much more. The cool part was the gifts were unique, items you will not find in any other store. There was a book you fill out, answering questions about someone else, then you give it as a gift. It was called, "A Book About You." This would be a thoughtful present! They gave us a recyclable bag when we came in. We used it to shop then took it home. My friend purchased a few gifts and they wrapped them in tissue paper and added a bow to the bag. So nice! Service was excellent and check-out moved quickly. They have a rewards program which I joined as I know I will be going back soon!

I was hoping to find some good deals on swimming clothes but there was none, so hopefully we will get some when we return. The store is clean and organized. All items appear to be in "like new" condition with many top designers and especially that Florida Coastal fav Lilly Pulitzer. I have shopped here for quite awhile for a special unique item. I've seen this store numerous times back home in San Diego (La Jolla) but never popped in. What drew us into this store was the window decal that said "Be . YOU . tiful". Then of course, the bright colored scarves was the next thing that pulled me in. I'm a sucker for scarves and any other accessory for that matter. They carried a line named Spartina 449 (www.spartina449.com/) that I fell in love with. They had a section dedicated to this line and the patterns of their scarves and handbags were so appealing to me. The patterns that I loved were Sallie Anne and the Callahan. They had purses, coin purses, wristlets and jewelry in each which made it very difficult to decide which I wanted. In the end, I purchased an artisian scarf in a soft pastel pattern, a beautiful cover for my mini ipad which was actually made for a Kindle but it fits my mini perfectly. We were the only one's in the store for awhile but she totally took care of us and made us feel right at home at all times. This is a store that I wouldn't shop in regularly, but I'm glad we found pieces that we fell in love with and were able to take home. I wore my scarf to a meeting the next day and got lots of compliments on it. Wouldn't you know...the following day it was 80 degrees in San Diego so it's been sitting pretty on my closet shelf.
