Not a sole around…read more Finally a young man named Jacob appeared who was very helpful, he listened to what I was looking for in a laptop and did not try to upsell me on any products. Jacob gets 5 stars but the business itself only gets 3 stars.

Crap experience. Made a reservation for the geek squad and no one acknowledged me for over 25…read moreminutes while I waited at the front and saw my name constantly show on the screen saying I wasn't checked in. I get it ur understaffed and it's the holidays but you can still acknowledge me so I know I'm not waiting around for nothing? Finally get someone to help me and the guy looks at my computer for all of 2 seconds, says it's gonna be $800 and two weeks to get it back. There was no way he knew the model, year, size etc; based on looking at it for that long. He told me to just look at getting a new computer. While I was waiting around for 30 minutes I ended up booking an appointment with the Apple Genius Bar- they actually looked at my computer, quoted me $400 and it was fixed within 24 hours. My experience with this Best Buy has never been good in all honesty. I get it customer service sucks blah blah Best Buy do a better job of training ur employees and taking care of their needs so they can actually help ur customers cuz revamping the store is not enough. U don't care about ur employees so they don't care about us. DO BETTER! Also shout out to some old lady named Gloria cus she was being a Karen on my behalf and I thank her for that.

This place has some really good folks working here. Often times I've had friends and family mention…read morethat they need to take their computer to the Geek Squad for repair. After admonishing them for considering putting their computer into the vile hands of the generally-incompetent shitbirds at Geek Squad, Computer Renaissance is usually the place that I recommend. I don't deal with them for service (at least not directly) because I don't need to, but I do interact with their staff when I'm looking to purchase parts. From these interactions, I can safely say that unlike Geek Squad, these guys really know what they're talking about. Not only are they very familiar with the more advanced and high-end solutions and products, but they're also helpful when it comes to the more standard and common equipment. In other words, they're not the place that's going to pressure you into an upsell. They understand all facets of the industry well enough to recommend a solution that meets your needs, and they're certainly proficient enough to trust your computer to for repair. I can go into this place and talk to them about components for the $5000 uber workstation that I'm building, but also know that my completely computer-illiterate family member can go here and they won't talk down to her or try to sell her something that she obviously doesn't need. From my perspective, this is a great shop because they sell components and accessories that generally aren't available as in-store items at competitors like Best Buy or Wal-Mart. If you're looking for a less-common adapter cable of some sort, chances are that Computer Renaissance will have it in stock and at a decent price. Other places like Best Buy, Wal-Mart, or even online-only retailers like Amazon and NewEgg, will have the same parts, but will have to ship it to you... so you add a delay in receiving the item on top of potential shipping charges. Definitely give these guys a call first if you're looking for something, because you may save yourself some time and some money.
