They did a great preparation by protecting our furniture's and floors, they prepared the walls, ceilings they sanded down the walls, spackled over all cracks they took down all the light fixtures, light and electrical covers, blind, curtains, and every single nail from the walls they probably double the amount of preparation required before the walls are ready to be painted the result is amazing the ceilings, walls trims, doors and closets look brand new. They finished in exactly the time that they said they would finish because we had family members arriving and all areas were left cleaned, They sure do it right the first time! I hired Solution Painting, Inc. to paint the exterior of my house, a three-story detached house with all wood siding, wood trim, and a wooden deck. There was also a substantial amount of trim wood rot, which I specified should be replaced with PVC, plus some siding rot that was to be replaced with cypress siding. It was a large job. Mario, the owner of Solution Painting, is a strong advocate of what I would call the full treatment, i.e., full surface preparation, an oil-based primer and two coats of finish latex paint on all siding and trim surfaces (plus stain on the deck). So his bid was somewhat higher than the other three bids I received (all from highly rated painters), but he was committing to a greater amount of work. At the time, he had about a five or six week backlog of work before he could start on my house, but that was not a problem from my standpoint. He appeared at 7:30 AM on the scheduled date and brought with him quite a large painting crew, 16 I believe, including a couple of carpenters. They worked 11 to 12 hours each day. By the end of the first day, they had completed all the surface preparation on the siding and trim (except for some rotted trim and siding boards still to be replaced) and had applied the full coat of oil-based primer. From what I could tell, they did a meticulous job of scraping and surface preparation and the surfaces were smooth. The crew sizes were lower on subsequent days, but by the end of the fourth day, they had completely finished the entire job. At the end of the third day, they asked me to look over the job and point out any imperfections. I did so, and found four or five minor drips and flaws which they quickly corrected. At this point, I would be hard pressed to point out any even minor flaws in the work. I was particularly impressed with the carpentry. Both the carpenters and painters did a complete and meticulous job. Given the favorable reviews I had read about Solution Painting, I expected a high quality job and was not disappointed. read more

Absolutely fantastic! We had our 4 level townhouse interior painted, including all doors, trim, ceiling, walls and lots of drywall patching. The owner came and gave us an estimate on the spot. We checked with another well reviewed company and their cost was almost $5,000 more than Solution Painting. They started the week-long job within a few weeks of getting the estimate. Wayne led the team of painters and he and his team were very considerate and professional. They worked with us to decide how to best accomplish the job since I was still needing to work from home. They were meticulous in protecting our wood floors and furniture, everything was tightly covered. They really took the time to properly prep all the surfaces by patching and sanding extensively through the entire house. We had a lot of nail pops, cracks, and actual chunks of drywall that had come off. They sprayed all the doors and trim so there aren't any brush strokes. We had our pantry painted and they were the only company that offered oil based paint on areas that will get a lot of wear and tear, such as shelves. The ceilings, doors and trim were all done in bright white and we chose "On the Rocks" for all the walls. The house looks completely transformed, it looks brand new and modern. Solution Painting is hands down the best in NOVA. They painted our house two years ago and did a flawless job. It still looks as good today as the day they painted it. People passing by still ask me who painted my house and how do might they be contacted. I re-hired them last week to stain my large wooden shed (16'x10') and fence and outdoor Adirondack chairs. (He even offered to paint my front stoop for free -- which had not been painted in 25 years -- because he thought it needed it. (I agreed, and it looks amazing.) And he's been doing this for a long time. His bids are fair, accurate, and actually better (especially for the quality) than any others (and there have been many) that I have talked to. We had Mario come to give us an estimate. We are a small business trying to make some changes to the office before our busy season kicks in. As soon as I called, Mario said he would be over within the hour. This is the quickest turnaround I've ever gotten from a company and we really appreciated it. When he came in, he was quick and efficient. He looked at the color we wanted, eyeballed the room, and had an estimate for us on the spot. The whole process took less than 15 minutes which was great for our busy work schedule. He had painters in to the space the next morning. We really appreciated that he told us a time, and the painters were here, prepared, and working by that time. This never seems to happen anymore with other companies. The painters got things done pretty quickly and asked questions when they were unsure. They were in by the morning and out by early afternoon for our back office room. The price was reasonable, the turnaround was fast, and the service was exceptional. The three painters they sent were really sweet and went above and beyond to help us even move a few pieces of furniture out of the way because we didn't have the strength. Used Solution Painting from a Yelp reference to paint about half of the interior of a 2300 sqft house in Falls Church. Proposed bid was lowest cost while offering services that exceeded higher bids. On the day scheduled, 5 days from contracted bid, the 8 person work team arrived on time suited up and masked. They partitioned the house work areas, moved and protected larger furniture and prepared the surfaces with patching and sanding. On day one, Solution painted the walls and ceilings of the upper main bathroom, hall way and staircase, while preparing the main floor hallways, kitchen and family room. On day two, Solution finished the main floor painting, polished up any shortcomings, cleaned up the worksite and departed with work complete. They showed incredible attention to detail and completed our project in two days - within a week of agreeing to the work. We anticipate using their services again for the remainder of the house interiors in the future. Highly recommended. read more

This company did a fantastic job on our front porch and exterior door frames. The original contractor had simply painted the raw wood, so after a few years the paint was fading and peeling away. The Solution Painting crew stripped off all of the old paint from the posts, rails and slats, sanded the wood clean, primed the wood, and added several coats of quality exterior paint. They also repaired a couple of rotted parts in the wood that needed to be filled and painted over. They did the same for two exterior door frames that were in pretty bad shape. Throughout the day the team members were courteous, quiet, and hardworking. They took the time to do the job right and to clean up everything as they worked and at the end of the job. I recommend them very highly if you want a good quality paint job that will last many years, instead of some slapdash work that you will need to do over. For more than four days, the crew, which averaged eight men and women, worked diligently on all the necessary prep work ... replacing rotting wood, caulking, sanding, and priming. We have used this company twice this year and have been very pleased with Mario (owner) and his crew. We've had our family room, dining room and a bedroom painted. They have also put in some fans upstairs and a chandelier in our eat in kitchen area They also did some minor carpentry. Every project has been done with care. They leave your house cleaner than before the job started. They take great pride in their work and obviously have the expertise to do the job right, Mario gave me an immediate estimate and it was very competitive. We highly recommend Solution Painting. When we called the office, they promptly set up a date for an inspection/estimate. Mario came when scheduled, inspected the house(exterior) described what would be done (painting/repairing exterior trim), and gave us an immediate written estimate. When we called to accept the proposal we were promptly scheduled and received a formal contract for signature The painting crew arrived at the time and date scheduled. They did a thorough job sanding priming, and painting the trim, and repairing/replacing trim where needed. When the job was completed, the crew thoroughly cleaned up. Overpriced. Rather expensive and over rated. Shop around for several quotes. You will find these guys are the highest priced. I think they raise prices on women and the elderly. All I'm saying is shop around for other quotes and you will see that they are overcharging. However, their Customer Service and scheduling is great. They show up on time and are courteous. For that I give them two stars. But if you want to pay double the price, you know that's what you get with this company. I have used this company before and they do quality work, but I also had another company paint the same square footage and they did it in half the time, half the price and the same quality. The last time my house was painted was 20 years ago. Solution Painting repainted my home. and for only the cost of additional materials, replaced rotted siding, rebuilt a rotted section of my front porch, and replaced a soggy drywall ceiling on the porch with new plywood. The paint job included scraping, a primer coat, and two coats of exterior paint. When finished, the house looked as good as new. Neighbors asked if I painted to get ready to sell the house The paint crew was professional, very thorough, and no problem to have at my phouse while the job was underway. So far have only used Solution Painting to finish a new cedar garage door. They were the only paint company to agree to take on this job. Jose was assigned and did an outstanding job. Careful attention to detail and excellent clean up after. The price was fair, particularly considering they had to make several trips: prep and wood brightener plus stain, then two coats of clear coat separated by 24 hour dry time on the first and light sanding before second coat. The paint company I used to use kept delaying their bid and when they finally did so (after I hired Solution Painting) their bid was twice that of Solution Painting. We had neglected some exterior work for a couple of years and needed our deck power washed and sealed, exterior power washed (4 level townhome), driveway power washed, deteriorated trim replaced and exterior trim painted, lower level ceiling repaired (water damage) and lower level painted. While sitting on home during this COVID pandemic, I got to see that I was not too keen on my kitchen cabinets (tan wood). I sought estimates from three different companies to get them painted (white). While Solution Painting did not come in with the lowest price, the owner, Mario, did offer services that I had not considered (such as painting the walls/ceiling and changing out the light fixture) which he included in his original price quote. He explained that it would be three days. We settled on 8:00 am for them to begin; they arrived at 7:58 am. They were professional and easy to work with. We had a very positive experience with Solution Painting. We definitely got our money's worth from their very hard working crew and their exceptional foreman Daniel. They performed extensive prep work -- power washing the house, patio, and all walkways; and scraping and repairing rotted wood. In addition to painting the house and shutters, they painted all the storm windows and the gutters. When they were done, they did a thorough job of cleaning up after themselves, including scraping off any paint that was on the windows, sweeping out our garage, (which had served as their staging area), and removing all their trash.
