Tiramisu
Spencer V.

The Tiramisu I purchased here one Saturday was wonderful and made from scratch which made it even better, but the service here was anything but. The person whom I saw at the register was a bit snippy with me and when I asked for the menu, she practically showed it in my hand. After I explained to her what I wanted she brought the dessert out to me but without gloves covering her hands or a bag to carry the Tiramisu in. Honestly I was beyond disgusted by this. I actually thought they would have taken health precautions seriously but apparently they dont. I don't think I'll be returning here again anytime soon or at all unless they make some changes here.

They are exceptionally knowledgeable about their wine without being stuffy or snobbish. Love the wine tastings on Saturday.

My wife and I recently visited The Wildmount in Aiken to celebrate our 44th wedding anniversary. We…read morewere really looking forward to the experience, especially because the menu is somewhat unusual and had several dishes that sounded very appealing. Unfortunately, our experience was mixed. The service started out very well. Our original server was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and made us feel welcome. However, as the restaurant became busier, the service declined noticeably. It seemed as though the larger groups were receiving much more attention than the tables of two. At some point, our original server and another server appeared to switch tables, and unfortunately, the second server was not nearly as attentive. By the middle of our meal, we felt like we had been forgotten. The food was also a mixed experience. I ordered the Bison Ribeye. The flavor was good, but the steak was surprisingly thin and was not cooked to the medium temperature I requested. In appearance, it reminded me more of a steak you might get at a diner than what I expected from a restaurant like The Wildmount. My wife ordered the chicken with fettuccine. Unfortunately, she found it far too salty and heavy on the garlic, which made the dish difficult to enjoy. Overall, it seemed to us that the chef was trying to incorporate too many different flavors, and they didn't always complement each other. We really wanted to love The Wildmount, particularly since we chose it for a special occasion. There are some interesting ideas on the menu, and our first server certainly made a good impression. However, based on our anniversary dinner, the food and especially the service did not live up to our expectations. Hopefully, this was just an off night, because The Wildmount has the potential to be a very good restaurant.

Had an absolutely incredible time at Tiny Paris this weekend. The word all around chapin is how…read moreamazing and adorable this place is, so with a friend in town, figured it was the perfect time...no disappointment here!! We thought it was a 'pour your own candle' type place/experience, but really it's a bistro restaurant that also sells amazing candles (in addition to other cute items.) We were starving, and looking forward to lunch, which was one of the most incredible meals I've ever had. Everything is made fresh to order and 'from scratch' and not only does the flavor reflect this, but every sibgle detail and aspect of the meal. We couldnt decide what to order so decided to just share everything. We started with the half baguette with olive tapenade and herbed butter. It cane out warm and the tapenade was obviously homemade...it was at this point we knew we were in for a treat! Next up was the lemony caesar salad with lobster salad added and the watermelon feta special salad. I literally licked the plate with both. The caesar dressing was SPECTACULAR, a secret recipe and perfect. The watermelon salad hit the spot on an excruciatingly hot day. Following that we got shrimp bruschetta and the marinated crab cake special over gazpacho and artichoke hearts. The bruschetta was delicious, but that crab cake was five star. With no room at all for dessert, we took in the charming decor, purchased a few items and made a note to come back asap. One note...the prices run about $20 per plate and the portions are fair, but modest be prepared to spend about $50-60 per person with a glass of wine and tip, but it is worth EVERY penny.
