Had an absolutely incredible time at Tiny Paris this weekend. The word all around chapin is how amazing and adorable this place is, so with a friend in town, figured it was the perfect time...no disappointment here!! We thought it was a 'pour your own candle' type place/experience, but really it's a bistro restaurant that also sells amazing candles (in addition to other cute items.) We were starving, and looking forward to lunch, which was one of the most incredible meals I've ever had. Everything is made fresh to order and 'from scratch' and not only does the flavor reflect this, but every sibgle detail and aspect of the meal. We couldnt decide what to order so decided to just share everything. We started with the half baguette with olive tapenade and herbed butter. It cane out warm and the tapenade was obviously homemade...it was at this point we knew we were in for a treat! Next up was the lemony caesar salad with lobster salad added and the watermelon feta special salad. I literally licked the plate with both. The caesar dressing was SPECTACULAR, a secret recipe and perfect. The watermelon salad hit the spot on an excruciatingly hot day. Following that we got shrimp bruschetta and the marinated crab cake special over gazpacho and artichoke hearts. The bruschetta was delicious, but that crab cake was five star. With no room at all for dessert, we took in the charming decor, purchased a few items and made a note to come back asap. One note...the prices run about $20 per plate and the portions are fair, but modest be prepared to spend about $50-60 per person with a glass of wine and tip, but it is worth EVERY penny. read more

Break away from the bbq and grills that are everywhere here, this gem is a must try in downtown Newberry! Family run, small business. You can tell the owners pride themselves on personal touches and making their guests happy. The food isn't cheap but made to order freshness shouldn't be! You deserve this meal. read more

A fantastic experience, and I do mean experience. I agree with all the reviews so far. The owner, a gentleman named Adam, was very personable and friendly. Everything was of the highest quality. Even the food presentation was top notch. I didn't take the opportunity to look at the items they sell but it looked impressive from a distance. Seating is limited so I suggest a reservation. You need to know that while there's plenty of food, the portions are a little small...and a little pricey. I wouldn't come here to "put on the feed bag" so to speak. It was date night, and since we live in Chapin, we decided to take a chance on this place -- wow, what a find! Everything is made in-house, and every dish was absolutely delicious. Our server couldn't have been more attentive or pleasant. The space is quirky, comfortable, and full of French flair. As someone who's spent many years in France, I can say with confidence that you won't find anything closer to a true French neighborhood bistro anywhere in South Carolina. There is a hidden diamond in the town of Newberry, South Carolina called Tiny Paris, and it is an experience you will not ever forget or regret. From the second you walk in the door and meet Adam you will feel as though you've been transported to a world centered on superior customer service. They want to welcome you into their lives and their business. Then you'll quickly notice the decor and feel like you've flown from a charming Southern town to a Bistro in Paris. Then when you are presented with the menu by Adam you'll be overwhelmed by the beautiful descriptions of a lobster roll, escargot, tuna tartare, Cheese plates, ect.....the only stress you'll experience here is what to order. After you place your order, your food is served to you by the chef. Adam's wife Alexandra. She personally checks on each table and you can actually taste the love and care she puts in her food. We had the lobster roll and truffle fries. To which I'll tell you - you will never want to eat anyone else's fries again. It can only be experienced and not explained. DO save room for whatever dessert Adam suggest because I've truly never seen my mother enjoy a dessert more. This magical restaurant literally made me feel like Alice who had fallen through the rabbit hole. I was down from Massachusetts for Thanksgiving. Traveling from Columbia back to my roots in Newberry. We were visiting my brother who lives in Newberry and wanted to grab lunch. I saw this place online and I thought, a French bistro in Newberry? Being a true foodie, if not a little snobby, I gave it little chance. Well shut my mouth! I was blown away! Tuna Tartar, Salmon, focacia, and tomato bisque with Gruyere croutons were out of this world! Never prejudge an eatery, especially when the Maître D is from London and the chef brings French roots with a Southern accent! My husband and I came across this fabulous eclectic restaurant while we were walking around downtown Newberry. We were visting the area to attend our granddaughter's wedding. I looked in the window of Tiny Paris and was instantly mesmerized how quaint and electic this space looked. Upon entering the French Bistro, my husband and I were greeted by Adam ( Co Owner) and he sat us down in front of the fireplace. We ordered our drinks and looked at the menu ( did I mention Adam's wife - Alex is the chef) We shared the seafood board;and my husband had the escargot and I had the salad. Words are not enough to decribe how amazing our food was. This restaurant is a must to visit!!! We loved it so much we purchased a gift certificate for my husband's daughter and her husband as an anniversary gift!! read more

We stopped and spent a night in Newberry on our way to Hilton Head. The town is delightful and all the people were very friendly. We found this restaurant by seeing all the people eating outside on a crisp fall afternoon. We decided to go in and had one of the most delicious meals and entertaining conversations with the owners and other patrons. The food is five star as is the wine selection. The chef is from France and the dishes she turns out are beautifully plated and delicious. Portions are small by American standards but are filling. Everything is made in house with the freshest ingredients. Don't be a wish I had. Stop in and you'll be a glad I did!! We're already planning a return! read more
