It has never looked so good after painting. As you can see from the photos, the fence has spearheads, balls, and multiple rails, making the painting process more difficult. 808 F&R carefully prepared the fence, removing rust bubbles and grinding down the the metal where needed. We flew over from California for a couple of weeks. 808 F&R was able to start and complete the job while we were on Oahu. The thing has had problems from day one and getting service on it from the welder was absolutely impossible. I found Allied on Yelp and gave them a call. Someone answered immediately and transferred my call over to Sue. Sue explained to me that Allied is a certified dealer for the automatic gate system I have and that they handle issues like mine all the time. We worked together for about a week to find a date and time that fit our schedules. During this time Sue replied to my emails immediately. The day of the service Sue called and said there was a traffic jam so the driver would be a little late. Crazy, no one in Hawaii ever calls to say they are running late. Jeremy, the technician, called once he was half way to my house and said he would be there shortly. Jeremy trouble shot the problem and found that the guy who originally built the gate did not caulk the electrical box. Geckos got into the box, made a mess of the circuit board, and that was the reason the gate would not close correctly. He replaced the board, and amazing, after 2 years of not working the gate finally closes again. Jeremy also adjusted the timing on the gate, greased it and fixed the lock on another small gate I was having an issue with in just over an hour. It is so refreshing to get good service!! First we were quoted with 2-3 days. Day 3 came around and the crew didn't show up until 2pm and after a few hours left without a word. 3 days and still an incomplete fence. When calling the foreman who was supposedly in charge of the crew, he had no idea they left! When I asked for an explanation, I was told they had "prior commitments"! The end result was 5 days and still a terrible job. They treated our property with no respect at all. They ruined parts of our yard during the installation and, unbelievably, cleaned concrete tools and dumped the waste directly onto our lawn. Now we're left with dead grass and hardened concrete patches that we have to deal with ourselves. No one followed up after the job, and no one seems to care that they left a mess behind. There are plastic shavings all over my yard from cutting material where my dogs are. Completely unprofessional from beginning to end. When all these issues were brought up to the manager Ryan, the excuses were never ending. Not once did he take accountability for the workmanship or customer service. Save yourself the frustration and go with a company that actually communicates and respects your property.
