Firstly, he responded to my message quickly, and provided a free consultation at the exact time and day we had scheduled. No other contractor, I had scheduled with, made it at the scheduled time, and some didn't even show up. We told him we wanted quartz countertops for the bathrooms and the kitchen, we wanted to extend our kitchen counter to create a bar, we wanted a large kitchen sink, and install our backsplash for us. Secondly, Lito's estimate was pretty fair, especially in comparison to other estimates we received (Lito was charging us about $3500 less than the other contractors we met with). Included in his estimate was installation of countertops/bar/backsplash, demolition, all materials except backsplash and faucets (we already bought these ourselves), and our new microwave installation. We paid %50 down, and the rest after the job was done. At first we were nervous, but Lito provided a contract listing all material, demolition, and labor he will be providing, a timeline, and the full price. He is also licensed, which helped ease our mind. Thirdly, he would text me ideas and pictures of what we might like for our sinks and the quartz design. He also answered all of our questions. Also, Lito would call me if he recommended any replacements that may be needed before installing or charging me. It took about 3 days of work to get everything completed, and we are very pleased with how everything looks! There doesn't appear to be any damages to the rest of our house nor any mess/dirt. Agreed on a cost that would solve my Mother's yard water drainage problem. Met on Tuesday morning and work began that afternoon due to my remaining time of my short visit. Work was done in 5-1/2 days of the 8 days available for me. Communication was both ways, making sure I knew what was going on and me asking if certain things could be worked into the project.

He patiently answered all my questions, then met with us to go over options. We appreciated his experience and familiarity with old-style single family houses like ours (60 years old). He listened to our needs, wants and available budget. We decided on a "middle" option with full solid acrylic pan (since we did not want another broken prefab floor) and cultured marble walls. He referred us to Naka's Marble whose staff was very friendly and helpful in choosing marble type/color. They worked directly with Mason on our custom floor and walls. Mason kept in constant contact with us regarding his work schedule (and of his subs). He was accommodating, flexible and also good to thinking out of the box. I requested a custom shower niche, so he guided me in designing one which was also fabricated by Naka's Marble. Mason was very clear and upfront about his fees, and warned us way in advance that there would be some extra fees along the way due to things that come up with old houses (like rotted wood, plumbing fixes, etc). MK's prices were very competitive compared to other companies (we had also spoken to two other companies prior) but decided on MK after meeting with Mason. Every part of our renovation process went well. Mason has a wealth of knowledge and seems to have many strong contacts in the industry. He worked super hard to give us our dream bathroom; was patient with us as we were not always decisive at times; and constantly kept professional decorum with friendly local vibes. Mason came and assessed the job, added his recommendation and approach and completed the job flawlessly. His work proposal is detailed and itemizes all the materials, outlines tasks included as well as what's not included so there's no misunderstandings.
