Chris was actually a recommended contractor by the company that we purchased the tile from. I contacted him for an estimate to tile 2 lanais that totaled 170 sq. ft.. He arrived promptly for our initial meeting and a proposal was received within 24 hours. Within 1 week the work was scheduled and completed in 3 days. Work started each day at 7:30am and Chris arrived promptly on time each day to ensure all was in order for his work crew. At the end of each day, Chris visited the job site to inspect that the work was progressing properly. He even made a special trip on the third day to fine tune the grout and acid wash the tile. Chris is personable and honest. He is only the second contractor out of many that I would totally trust working on my projects. I would not hesitate to contract his services again in the future.

I was so disillusioned that it took me over 10 years to find someone honest, reliable, gives attention to detail, and really cares about their work even though it isn't their own home. Ryan had renovated two condos on my floor and upon my neighbor's recommendation and seeing what a beautiful job he did with her kitchen, I decided to hire him for my master bathroom which was in dire need being almost 50 years old. Here are reasons why we are SO HAPPY with the finished product and why we highly recommend Ryan for your renovation needs: 1. Responds quickly to your calls or texts 2. Very meticulous top notch work especially his tile work and painting 3. Good communicator; let me know what to expect each day and kept me informed on day to day progress 4. Resourceful to keep costs to a minimum, no surprises 5. When uncovering unexpected surprises Ryan pivots well to solve the problem 6. Researched to help achieve the look I wanted in bathroom 7. Respectfully checked in with me before making any assumptions 8. Offered sound suggestions and advice 9. Showed up every day and never had me wondering where he was 10. Considerate of my neighbors and worked as quietly as possible, even taking the tile to his home to cut since it would make a lot of noise in my building My husband and I are thrilled with the final product and asked Ryan be our "go-to" guy for other projects both large and small. The project was to be finished same day on Saturday, but then he said he would come back Sunday at 9am. Monday at 1:30pm he doesn't show, then we get a text at 1:40pm, & he ends up rescheduling for 5pm. 2) When he finally shows to finish the job, he brings his 2 boys w/him w/out even a heads-up. (Unprofessional & inconsiderate, in my opinion.) And he left black smudges & scratches on our newly painted kitchen cabinet doors. The bottom line is, we were just a small job for him, & therefore not a priority. I felt that acutely. He has a friendly & pleasant demeanor, and if you don't mind him not showing up sometimes & unannounced guests, you shouldn't have any problems.

After contract signed for the work - including labor, almost everything we wanted done - which was routine replacement of what he knew we removed because he did the demo, had an excuse that was "this is the one thing I don't do" or "It's not in the bid". Seriously? We hired you for 8 weeks and you could not install a closet rod? Agreed one room would be done at a time completely finished instead so we could move tiny s around and at one point took off all the doors had no privacy even in our bathrooms not one room is completely finished but not worth the aggravation. After we agreed to a weekly payment schedule he tried to get 50 % ($23,500) up front. Thank God we did not agree and ended up stuck with results because our house is not even close to being finished. Part 2 after reading his response just now I completely forgot to mention the yelling & screaming swearing in my home with my door closed a friend could hear him over the phone asked if I was ok. I felt unsafe with this guy having meltdowns. Nothing is fabricated I don't like putting someone's business down at all, just our experience nothing is fabricated

We started this by receiving his bid in February and it seemed high to have $13000 just for the…read morepainting of the interior of the house but we went with it because he did a good job installing a door and a window previously. Total bid was $47000 and stated that it included labor but we found out labor was extremely selective to what he felt like doing to include installing drawers, installing towel racks, installing a shower glass door, installing closet doors, etc. The list goes on and on. On the start day - we spent $600 to bring out a bin for the waste from the demo and he shows up; did no work - just walked around the house and left in an hour. Could have saved money and a day for more storage of debris on the demo. His bid stated he would be at work 8-2 every day. On the first actual work day - showed up and stayed until around noon and left. Did that a few times. Came up with reasons to take Fridays off - including Good Friday - everyone I know still works that day. Found out later he used mahogany on the cabinet top instead of the underlayment plywood because it was $30 cheaper per board. Needless to say this guy was a huge disappointment. I'm sure he'll argue this review like each negative review received from the posts I've read here, but it is what it is. He cursed and yelled the F word in my home when it was just my wife here - that was totally uncalled for. Broke our outdoor water faucet, left it on for hours, and it took yelling at him to get him to admit it - he fixed it and acted like it was not a big deal but it is when you're paying for the water. When some of the new cabinet doors were installed crooked - he blamed it on the manufacturer. One of our front windows was framed crooked - he fixed it but blamed it on the house. We finally parted ways with one bathroom left undone and another untouched. Unprofessional as hell. Issues just went on and on. I could go on and on but it's really not worth the time. I think you get the picture. Mahalo. Interesting how you never address the actual work done in your reply - I still have areas to paint after finishing my kitchen ceiling and texture/paint in the front bathroom. No fabrications made.

Then he gets upset that I was questioning him where he was at the moment which we are a AOAO with a swimming pool that I posted notices out for residents that pool will be closed due to work to pool deck. He then shows up at around 2 p.m. to start work, I told him it is way to late to start work. He then starts to be like I am mad person and makes like it was my fault. So at this point I told him I need the deposit back and our pool fob key back. He then says that he will not give deposit back and we just donated to a non profit organization, mind you this is about $2250.00 we gave as a deposit. At this point I asked him to leave the property due to he starting yelling in our community, So as I was telling him to leave he then threw his gum from his mouth at me, which was a total disrespect to a customer that was paying to do worker. He then leaves property, then about an hour after he leaves he then texts me to give him an apology on what had happen, I said hell no, after what you have done. They were careful not to damage the abutting walls and cleanly disconnected the plumbing. This will make it easier when the remodeling takes place. From the first site visit to the final walkthrough, everything was seamless. William managed this project very well and guided us through this process with ease. At any point if we had questions he was quick to respond. The showroom they have is great and the experience of setting your preferences on design and materials is quite enjoyable. The only hiccup we encountered is that the supplier of the original tile that had been selected did not come in the size we needed and so it wouldn't have meshed well with the current tile in the living room. William helped us find a suitable alternative and we were able to pivot and are very pleased with the outcome. There were a couple of adjustments during the project but again related to the tile, we changed the direction of the placement which allows for us to replace the remaining tile in the house in the future if we decided to do so. William and team thinking ahead with our needs in mind really provided a sense of care. To top it all off, we wanted this build done ASAP and the team was able to complete the remodel in 8 days compared to their estimate of 10 - 14. We are extremely pleased with the work and so glad we went with a business right here in Kaneohe. Thank you William, Wen, and team!
