    Risotto balls appetizer.

I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant. Just wish this chairs were more comfortable. The staff was friendly and engaging and in between customers playing Yahtzee with each other which I found endearing. Highly recommend the risotto balls ,The sauce is amazing with balsamic vinegar swirls inside of some lemon cream.. pure decadence. And I didn't get to partake but I did hear that they have salsa classes that I'm hoping to make it back for.

You see a sign that says wait to be seated, and after 7 minutes, we stopped waiting and took a table. After 10 more minutes, two waters showed up but no menus, napkins, or utensils. This method creates multiple trips back and forth. The employee looks busy, but very little is getting accomplished. When do these people get trained on customer service? They seem totally enamored by the POS screens rather than checking on customers. On the 4th trip to the table, napkins and forks showed up. It is no secret in the restaurant business that when employees make regular visit to their tables there is more chance to sell more food & drinks. All this wasted motion works against the interest of the owners. The food was served hot and both our dishes were very tasty. The business manager is either not involved or not aware of these deficiencies. Something as simple as if you are going to put a sign out requiring guests to wait to be seated, have someone stationed there. Duuuuuhhhh!

First night in Boise, we were tired from flying and looked for a local place but didn't want to wait so we ended up here. I was thinking it was just bar food but saw these Sweet Potato Enchiladas and was very intrigued. Sweet Potato Enchiladas are something you need in your life!! The chipotle chile verde sauce, cashew cheese and chimichurri on top oh my. You bet I are everything and I had to hold myself back from literally not licking the plate it was so flippin good. Instead of rice it was served with an avocado and spicy chili risotto which was a perfect compliment to the enchiladas. Don't pass up Solid, do yourself a solid and stop in !

I came here during taste of Boise and had the pumpkin soup, blackened salmon, and pumpkin cheesecake and it was sooooo delicious! Everything was flavourful- the soup had such a deep flavor and the salmon was cooked perfectly with a delicious sauce. The restaurant is warm and welcoming as well. Excellent service.

23 bucks for the world's smallest piece of salmon. In a fun and festive friendly place. Excellent waitress. Or is it 'server' to be P.C...?.. Prices high for what u get. 9.99 for soup and salad -- ok. I fell for it ' vegan chili'. Beans in canned stewed tomatoes. Salad is bagged. Nothing special here, folks. But the server was lovely.

Pro-tip: Decent food for a place that's open so late at night. Highlights: Not a ton of late night options in Boise, so I was surprised that the food here was pretty decent honestly. The menu is pretty extensive too and it's not overly priced. Lowlights: The server definitely got my boyfriend's beer order wrong and even when we pointed out that it was the wrong one, he didn't believe us.

Service: 3/5 Dessert: 3/5 Portions for price: 2/5 It was open late so we went for dessert but I wouldn't go back for dessert unless I had no other options.

Just flew in from S. Cal and walked here from our nearby hotel. Beautiful night, delicious burgers, great music, sweet service and relaxing atmosphere - conveniently located in downtown Boise. The vibe here tonight is lovely - and it's only Wednesday. Our burgers were $12/each and really good. Service was great - attentive and polite. Soaking in the perfect night.

On our way to Yellowstone N.P., started our drive this morning in Cottage Grove, Oregon. (I few in to Eugene from So Cal over the weekend. ) We are overnighting in Twin Falls and it is late (9 p.m. ) so we decided to find a restaurant that was open late. Lucky us. Solid Grill & Bar in Downtown Boise was open until two. Our server, Hannah, could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. 5 stars! And the food--perfection. I had the Bleu Idaho Steak Salad. My traveling companion had the Poutine. I'd go back in. heartbeat. Don't miss this place if you are in Boise!

We saw a young couple get frustrated with how packed it was and left, but what do you expect on a Friday night, this isn't a fast food place. We stuck around and placed our order. Got lucky because they only do Fish Fry's on Fridays! Ordered the prawns and fish, got two order of buffalo wings, Mac and cheese, chipotle wrap, and kids burger. Fish was amazing!! Tasted Fresh! Not frozen! I was really not sure what to expect and faced my fears and ordered it. I can say it was some of the best fried fish I've had no lie. I was super pleased with it! Next time I'll try just the fish and chips in hopes that it comes with one more piece. The prawns were skinny ones and I wasn't too fond of them but the fish the main dish was perfect! Wife and bro-in law got an order of wings each and they were both super happy with them, I snagged 3 and would say top 5 wings I've had. Sister got the chipotle wrap and she said it was really good! Wife also got the mac n cheese with bacon and her and the kids loved it. Kids burger was able to split between two kids and they tore it up along with the mac n cheese! We had a great experience! Plan to circle the block several times if you want to be close. Otherwise plan on parking and walking. When we walked in, 5:30-ish on a Thursday evening the bartender told us to sit wherever we wanted. There were two booths and a couple of other tables available. It took several minutes for anyone else to acknowledge us and bring us menus. When asked, the waitress didn't know what beers were on tap, but did have them all written down. That was helpful. Also seemed to have a good selection of "house" cocktails, which would be fun for happy hour or a game day. Vibe is definitely sports bar on a college campus, but the patrons were not college-aged. As others have commented, great overhead music. While we were there it was 70s classic rock. Now for the food - all great! Hubby gor the finger steaks, and while the breading looked very dark, he said they didn't taste burnt or overcooked. They came with BBQ sauce and an Asian-ish sweet-chili-horseradish sauce. Not cocktail sauce and very weird. I got The Grateful Shed burger with tots. It was delicious! Served on a brioche bun that could not stand up to the burger and how juicy it was. But that's what a fork is for. The candied bacon on it was so good. And the tots! Crispiest I've have in all of the treasure valley! It did take quite a while for the food to come out. I had a good view of the kitchen so I know it wasn't the wait staff. And its never good to see tables that ordered after us get their food before us. That's the only reason for a 4 star rating. If you aren't in a hurry, and maybe don't mind walking for parking, I'd definitely recommend The Shed!

Now, the food. My friend went for one of their signature burgers, which was seasoned simply so the beef really gets to shine. The only hiccup was that they were out of tomatoes, which is a non-negotiable topping for her, so keep that in mind if tomatoes are a must. I went a different route and ordered the beef focaccia. Uniquely layered ribeye and really good. We also shared a Greek salad that was simple but fresh and satisfying. And the french fries with their homemade ketchup? Don't skip em. Service was smooth and friendly from start to finish. No complaints.

By coincidence when walking around town I spotted it and had to go try. I'm a sucker for biscuits and gravy and these definitely beat what you would find in a Denny's or IHOP by a landslide on the taste and aesthetic scale! It's super filling since there's so many carbs, but the taters (more like small potato wedges) are actually a clever add-in. They add a slight bit of texture to the mushiness of the gravy-soaked biscuits, and potatoes and gravy are already best friends in terms of food pairings. There's also garnish on top (some sort of greens and cheese) that gives it a nice look and extra flavor. Delicious! I didn't think much of the customer service initially aside from thinking they were super friendly. However, I sat down at one of the tables and took my time eating and people watching. So many people came by the store to talk to the chefs with such familiarity that it felt like this popup was its own restaurant and community. It hasn't reached a point of popularity where it's flooded with people, but the more I look back on the experience, the nicer I feel about it. Even after a lot of time had passed and the staff had already helped out so many people, when I left, they called out my name and it made me wish I could go back again. This is one of the best experiences I've ever had at a restaurant. Not because it's spectacular or mindblowing, but because it was great people watching. For my meal, I chose the $10.99 Lunch Break Special, upgrading my side to the chicken poblano soup alongside the half honey pecan chicken salad sandwich. While I was looking at the bar, a gentleman named Scott asked how I was enjoying my food. I told him I hadn't tried it yet, but that the mimosa was rocking! The soup was delicious with great flavoring, and the biscuits paired perfectly with their tasty jam. The chicken salad also tasted great, but unfortunately, I bit into a sharp chicken bone that hurt my mouth. Because of this, I stopped eating the sandwich. When Brayden checked back in, I let him know I couldn't finish it due to the bone. He handled it perfectly, promptly took the sandwich away, and removed the charge from my bill. Today my friend wanted to celebrate her birthday here so of course I said yes! We decided to sit on the outdoor patio today. It wasn't the warmest day but it was beautiful out. The sun was peeking out once in a while. The table was nicely shaded by a huge umbrella. The sun was nice but to have it beating on you isn't the best so the umbrella was appreciated. It was the perfect table for our outing. Jerika (I hope I spelled her name right) greeted my friend and I with her beautiful smile. We got some drinks started so while they were being worked on, my friend and I breezed over the menu. I did somewhat enjoy my charboiled salmon at the Eagle Bardenay for my birthday a couple weeks ago. The chefs did undercook my first plate of salmon. The server was kind to take my plate back to have the chefs remake it. The second attempt was appreciated but it was unfortunately a fail. The salmon came out so dry. I get that I wanted it well done but not jerky. But, today's a new day and I was willing to give it another shot. So today, I ordered the salmon with veggies instead of the salad. My plate came out and it looked promising. I love beautiful char marks on my food. The char marks today were perfect. My veggies looked nicely cooked but I could tell that some of the squash was still undercooked by the color. I didn't mind, it's a sign of freshness. As much as I wanted to stare at the prettiness of my food, I was ready to dig in! My salmon was so good! It was perfectly cooked! No raw spots in the middle, it was flaky and moist. It was a fabulous piece of salmon. The sun dried tomato butter is a fantastic add on to the salmon. I honestly could have polished another piece of fish. The chef that cooked my salmon today needs a raise! My lunch was chef's kiss! My friend enjoyed her lunch and her birthday drink! The outdoor patio was so relaxing. My lunch was also enjoyed. Our server was kind and attentive. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday lunch for my deserving friend. I hope that it won't be another 5+ years till I come back.
