Once I reviewed that the guys agreed that it seemed to be correct and they gave me a refund on the needless firearms, safe handling demonstration, and exam that I had taken needlessly. Once more - the guys who work here are SOLID. Great group of guys working at a lack Dog! They simply had not been updated about the change to the law. And no big surprise, the California state auditors had given them a hard time; which is par for the course in CA. These guys did not make me do a safe handling demo because they wanted to be jerks. They were simply trying to adhere to the innumerable and constantly changing laws of the land. Never once did I feel like they were giving me FUDD nonsense just for the sake of it. They were trying to merely adhere to the endless, nonsensical "laws" here in CA. I will for sure continue to bring my business to black dog. None of the Southern California ones that I've visited over the years comes close to this one. They have shooting ranges for everything. If shooting is not your thing, they even have archery and "impalement arts" (tomahawk and knife throwing). It was the first time I picked up a gun in almost decades. My coworker (who might volunteer here) was great at teaching me how to handle a modern pistol. The range was well kept and clean. They have rules to follow including usage of PPE's. It's a great place to visit.
