I was told the wait for a pedicure would be 15 mins, I waited over an hour! I had the worst pedicure, the bowl was dirty and I had to ask for them to clean it. I didn't get a hot towel or anything done to the bottom of my feet, I get gel on my toes and he basically just applied the polish and put cream on my legs. I do not know how this salon can be so busy. Customer service is TERRIBLE. My 3rd time in for a pedicure. I was "greeted" by a nail tech working on a client. Spoke to me through his mask, never made eye contact. NO organization. Asked me to take a seat and wait..... So I did for 10 minutes with absolutely no hope of anyone approaching me for my pedicure. One of the worst nail salon experiences I've ever had and I've been getting my nails done for 15+ years. Waited over an hour after my appt time before they finally got to me. The service was so rushed and the people there are very rude. They honestly did the worst job I've ever seen on my liquid gel fill (my original set was done somewhere else but they are closed on sundays and I was desperate). I'm not a nail professional by any means but I have tried to do my own acrylics and liquid gel sets myself before and they have turned out so much better than what I paid a ridiculous price for at this salon. I called in to make an appointment for 5pm for a full set acrylic ombré pink and white and a regular pedicure and my eyebrows. They said they had time and to come on over. As I sat in waiting chairs someone else walks in and they sit her right away for her pedi. Then the girl looks at me and said oops I'm sorry I forgot you were there! 5 minutes later they sit me down to get my pedicure. I have my feet soaking in hot water for a few minutes when a man comes Up to me and tells me that he is sorry about that he hast to do my acrylic ombré nails first because he is the only one who knows how to do that. I sat there looking at him waiting for him to Hand me a towel or something to dry my feet and he just stares at me and tells me hurry hurry! I ask him for a towel again and he just throws it at me! I was surprised and shocked and so were the other people next to me. Then a girl which I think is the manager named Angie comes up to me and says is it OK for them to do your hands first? I think she saw how rude this man was being to me. So I told her yes and I went and sat down with the man and he began to do my nails. First I have a regular nail polish on my nails just clear polish. He begins to try and glue the tips to my nails without removing the polish. I tell him please remove all of the polish so the nail stick I don't want to have to come back because my nails are falling off. He looks impatient to me and gets upset and tells me he's doing the best he can. I told him I understand it. Then when he begins to do the hombre he is using a peach color. I ask him if he can please do pink and white ombré because I don't like the peachy nude he is using. He proceeds to tell me that it is the only color he has. So as he continues he is piling on a ton of acrylic and my nails look super thick. When he is grinding down on them he doesn't hardly grind them down. I saw he was finishing up to get ready to put a clear gel coat on top. I tell him excuse me sir but can you please make my nails thinner? I really don't like them and they are this thick. And he tells me that he hast to make them thick because they are two different colors and that I don't know that because I have not got my nails done hombre before. I told her yes I get my nails done all of the time hombre so I know they can make them a lot thinner than what he is doing. He asks me where I usually get my nails done and why I didn't go there. I tell him that my girl is on vacation for a week and a half and that I needed to get my nails done for a party. He is so upset with me at this point he tells me to come back to this establishment and to go back to the girl that does my nails normally! He tells me this while he's pulling on my hands hard because he is upset. I pull my hands away from him and tell him I don't want him to do my nails anymore and I was leaving. Before I start walking out the door band turn around and ask to speak with somebody who is in charge. That's when Angie, the girl that had approached me before while I was sitting waiting for my pedicure. She asked me to sit down and wait for her to finish my nails. I explain to her everything that had happened and she said that he is not usually like that but that his wife was already waiting for him at home and he was just tired.That made me even more angry because she just made an excuse for him to treat a customer like that. After she finished with another girls nails she finished my nails. I never had time for my pedicure or my eyebrows as Angie told me they had no time to do them now. I'm really upset because I had made a appointment for all three things and only got one thing done and I wasn't even happy with the way that they turned out because they were not the right color. This really stinks because now when I go for a refill with Golden nails place I normally get my nails done they are not gonna have this color and I will have to rip off my nails and start over again! Went in for a relaxing evening for a manicure and pedicure and had the most awful experience! I called ahead and was told that if I came in at 6:pm it was more then enough time. From the minute I stepped in there I was rushed! He made fun of how I cut my toe, he told me they wanted to go home and they were annoyed how busy they were, and he kept telling me I should have come earlier. It was the most unpleasant experience I ever had!! To top it off my nails look AWFUL! They are all uneven with bubbles! I was told I picked the "wrong" nail polish! First things first.... It's clean and organized! The wax room did not have any wax anywhere except in the wax machine. The towels to lay on we're clean and they used paper runners. Angie did my waxing. Face and bikini, no reusing of sticks. Angie was personable, efficient, and had a strong attention to detail. Any hair that didn't come out with wax she plucked. My husband and I both had the deluxe pedicure and manicure. Both massages were great and the chairs are a strong massage addition. My cuticles could have been clipped a bit more and my polish was a bit sloppy (on skin and not to the edge of nail). I think it's probably better to not clip too much skin when you are a new client just in case the client doesn't like it. I had a male technician and my husband had a female. I love this salon but will never go back. They are so busy and so rushed. The water for my pedicure was cold as they had no hot water from being so busy. The manicure tables are so dirty with a thick layer of nail dust! They don't have time to properly clean. I DONT recommend this place, especially if you have a time schedule, i made a 12:00 appointment and i got there a half an hour early to make sure i got helped at my appointment time. I wasn't helped till 12:30 and that's because apparently the women i had an appointment with was the only person there that knew what she was doing because everyone there needed her help every possible second. When she finished up her appointment before me @ 12:10, she started a design on someone else instead of helping me. When she was finally ready for me, the entire time she was helping me she had to stop and help the blonde at the front CONSTANTLY because she didn't know what she was doing at all. I went to get my eyebrows done today and it was an excellent experience. My eyebrows look like they are painted on because its so perfect. I wish I got the name of the girl who did them :/. First, I like that they put a protective cover over the tub for each client when doing a pedicure. However, I do not like how they rush through the manicures and pedicures. Especially if you just pay for the basic service. I get these to relax and it is anything but that here. They do not massage your feet, the literally speed through every part of the process. I was done with a pedicure in 18 minutes from start to finish and a manicure in 15. This is great if you are in a hurry. I feel like they try to get as many people in and out as possible. It seemed really good when i first finished. Then i had to go back 2 times to get my toes fixed because they smudged after letting them dry for over 1 hour. My first and LAST experience at this place. I saw a guy named Duke. He was an older gentleman with black hair and home grays. My appointment started off normal and progressively got more hostile and rude. Let me first start off my saying I got gel nails and he did a horrible job. There are bubbles and inconsistencies in the painting, some matted areas some shiny. I have had the gel on for 4 days now and every single one has peeled off. Duke was extremely rude to me, I have NEVER had service like this in my life! It started when be kept calling my babe and baby (I didn't bother me much but it did bother my significant other whom had accompanied me and was sitting next to me) while I was having conversations with my SO he would constantly butt in and add to the convo cutting both of us off. At one point I mentioned to my SO that I had bought some gel nail polish so I could use with my UV machine at home and Duke said "well you'll probably do a bad job because you're not licensed, that's why your here today" um... no. I do my nails all the time, I was being treated to this manicure by my SO. After he took off the previous gel polish he filed my Mila and started painting them with the new color. He didn't cut my cuticles or push them in, he didn't soak my hand in soapy water like most other nail techs were doing there. While he was painting my nails he would not let me move or place my hands other than where he wanted them to be. At on point my nose got itchy so I pulled my hand out of the UV machine to scratch it and he pulled it back saying "don't move you hands! Your going to ruin your nails and then I'm going to have to start all over again" this went on every coat he applied if my hand was not positioned in the exact way he wanted it he would yell at me. At one point he painted the bottom of one of my fingers and i noticed that it was painted when it stuck the to bottom of the UV machine so I took my hand out to tell him and he just looked at me and said "what did I just tell you about your hand! I'll fix it later" (he did never removes it) It was such an awful experience. He made me feel like I was a little kid being scolded by my parent for doing something wrong. I'm sorry but i have gotten gel nails done A LOT of times and never had an issue with my placement of hands or even Messing up my nails. I was treated basically like a child. This was such an awful experience. The only reason I didn't get up and walk out was because I'm too much of a nice person to make someone's "hard work" fee useless. read more

I am not one to complain much.. but never have I ever had a worse experience at a spa or salon before today.. now I cannot point the blame on the person who did my nails, they were lovely. Now about a week after getting them done I needed to get them removed for work purposes. I told the lady to salvage as much of my natural nail as possible since they have gotten long and I wanted to continue to grow them out. I thought maybe they would soak my nails AT LEAST in warm water to soften the nails. No. She digs right into my nails with a metal tool after trimming the nails down as much as possible, including my natural nail. I can say that I have a pretty high pain tolerance but to get these acrylics ripped off my natural nails felt like she was ripping my nails off my skin. That being said, there was no length to my nails anymore, she seemed to do it as quick as she could which hurt worse. It may have felt better if she actually took her time. I left out of the place feeling absolutely miserable. People who pay their good money, even to get the nails removed, should feel beautiful about themselves. I can tell you I felt the exact opposite leaving that place. Now why would I pay after going through that? Because I didn't feel that it was her fault but the company's fault for not training their employe s to take off these things properly and I'm not one to cause a scene inside of a company. That being said, this has been the most ridiculous experience I have ever had and I can PROMISE you I will never get my nails done again, ESPECIALLY at Solar Nails. Some places may be different but I can't put my nails through something like that again, or pay my hard working money just to loose my natural nails. I used to be a frequent nail biter, for 10+ years. I quit 5 years ago and it had taken me this long to get them where they are today. So when I have a little length in them it feels nice, I feel feminine. I hated waking out of that salon today looking at my nails and seeing that I barely had nails and the fact that they were brittle, throbbing, and bruised. I feel sorry for any woman who decided to get acrylic nails. Yes it feels nice while you have them but your better off removing them yourself because the people who put them on don't know what they are doing. It's just sad. HORRIBLE customer service! 3 bad services and I'm done! This last time was my last straw. I had requested coffin acrylic and shellac over them and for my toes just a polish change. I kept telling her my thumb nail was crooked and seemed like she was mad about it. Amy (probably in her mid 40's) was the nail tech. I paid $75. Went home and notice my toes were as if my 5 yr old niece did them. I live in the Estates and couldn't go back same day. I went the following day. I told them and they had me wait 50 min., then Amy walks In with an attitude. I assume they called her In to fix it. Stupid because why couldn't anyone just do it??? Right!! So I'm sitting there and she's arguing that it's because I need a pedicure that that's why the finish looked like that!!! Omg! I couldn't believe she said that! I had just had a pedicure 1 week before!! So she's arguing with Ty, the manager denying the bad job. He even tells her to calm down ( of course in Vietnamese) and she keeps running her mouth. I was surprised how I handled it staying calm. Mostly due to the fact the salon was full and she was the one looking dumb in front of the clients. I grabbed the damn polish and did my toe (which was all I was asking for! NOT VERY HARD!!) then finished and started walking away. The girl would greets you and directs you, idk if she's also manager or what says she's sorry. Like really!? She only said that because ppl saw what happened. I called Ty later that evening and told him that was messed up and how I felt. He asked me to go back but I'm done with that salon!! Just BAD BAD customer service!!! Worst manicure and pedicure ever! Horrible staff and generally horrible manicure and pedicure! They couldn't get the gel color correct, were reluctant to show more than a few colors to select from, and did a mediocre job at best on a basic gel pedicure and a gel manicure. I had to ask for more coats, for my nails to be filed evenly, for edges of toe nails to be painted. None was done really well even when asked. I am usually low maintenance and am happy with service but this place was a joke. A friend went with me; hers was equally as bad and hers took almost an hour longer than expected. To top it off, what really made this place worthy of the yelp 1 star was that the entire staff tried to rip off a different customer by overcharging her for what her daughter and her got done. Even when called on it, they kept changing what the woman was being charged for to add up to the total. I spoke up and the woman spoke up but the staff clearly has no problem trying to scam people because clearly they can't earn their keep by quality service. FYI: There is a customer frequent service card there that I blatantly turned down and said I would not be returning; go across the street by Stevie's for faster, better, and more credible service! read more

This was the worst pedicure I have ever suffered through. The tech hurt me when cutting cuticles which were left ragged looking. My hubby also had a pedicure and it was so awful -tech couldn't file or cut nails evenly. I could have done it myself and it would have looked better. Very disappointed. I've gone there multiple times and usually leave upset. The only reason I kept going back was because I had gift cards. On two separate occasions I had other walk in people that can in after me get seated before me. I was about to get passed up again but luckily the lady was nice and told the people I was there first. Today I scheduled an appointment and arrived on time. It was busy but I thought since I had an appointment I wasn't going to have to worry about waiting. I was wrong. I waited 35 minutes until a person started doing my pedicure. I had somewhere to be at 4:30 so they rushed through my appointment. My nails look okay but today just left me annoyed. Don't know the tech's name but when I refused to agree to a more expensive option, she physically changed her demeanor into this evil _________! She hardly did anything & when I asked her (politely) to cut my toenails she argued with me and kept making faces. She virtually treated me with total contempt! I ran out of there without staying to dry my nails. I got my nails done on a Saturday and they already fell off. It is a waste of money and they are super over priced. The girl that did my nails cut 4 of my fingers when she was using the drill and then denied it saying I came in with cuts on my fingers ( as i was actively bleeding ) she put one of my nails on crooked then when she went to fix it, it was much shorter then the rest of my nails. The polish never covered my entire nail. I was in there for over 2 hours and my patients ran out. Will never go there or recommend it to anyone. read more

Absolute worst manicure/pedicure I have ever had. The technician not only filled the tub with cold water, he stayed on his phone the entire time! The massage for both lasted maybe 20 seconds and my feet were not even scrubbed with the stone. I also had to ask him to clean up my nails after he left the polish all over my skin. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. I made an appointment for 3:00 when I walked in I was suppose have Ty (the owner) he told me he forgot so I would have to have someone else. I nicely said that I would be more than happy to wait for him to be done. He said no he didn't have time and I would have to have someone else or he guessed that he could stay later than he had to. The guy who ended up putting my acrylics on put them on; none were straight, only 2 the same size on one hand the other hand none were the same (meaning length and shape). I called the next day when I realized how horrible it actually was...Ty answered the phone, I explained everything very nicely as maybe the guy who did mine was new (giving the benefit of the doubt....when I probably shouldn't have). Ty said well that's what I got and paid for so he couldn't do anything about and I should have said something then. That's not what anyone should EVER tell a costumer. I went to them for 2 years. Going to Ruby Nails now and they are amazing! Never going to this place EVER AGAIN!
