I had Lee as my nail technician. She was very sweet, helped me with the green spots under my acrylic. I got a fill with a gel change. I like the nails overall, but they are now chipping after 3 days, and the day after, part of my right index finger nail broke off!! I had to glue it back together, because I'm working and won't be able to go back for a while. I may give this salon another try next time I need a fill just to see if the problem persists of my nails breaking. read more

I've been going to this nail salon for about 4 years. As of recently I've had terrible customer service. Each time I go in they treat me so poorly compared to how they treat others in the salon. I regularly get acrylic nails and on the last 5 occasions they have hurt me and up charged me each time with no explanation. I've had nail fillings flung onto me and not to mention they do a terrible job on any other nail shape then square. If you want anything other than a basic square French DO NOT GO HERE. I don't know how the place has such good reviews. This is, by far, the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. I went in after work and waited almost 45 minutes to even be seated. After that, I was seated with my feet in the water for another 30 minutes until it went cold. I finally had a very polite girl come and do my pedicure. They only offer one basic pedicure and she did okay. A girl came to do my nails who was rude and annoyed. The nail polish stayed on pretty well but I will never go back. It took me almost 2.5 hours to get out of there! read more

Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the manicure felt pretty rushed but both my fingers and toes turned out great in the end. They are also very reasonably priced. $35 for mani pedi or 48 for shellac mani with regular pedi. Also, it's right down the street from me. I'll definitely be returning. read more

Prices are great! I thought they were average when I first walked in but then I realized how much attention they show to detail. They really care about what they do and make sure you walk away happy. I received a pedicure here and it was amazing. I really enjoyed the mask that they used as it left my feet feeing extremely refreshed. I also had a rather amusing visit listening to some of the staff communicate with their regular clients. I got the norms pedicure for $25 and I feel like it was well worth it. I had my first experience at Solar Nails - chose it for the convenience, prices, and reviews. I'm so pleased with the service I received! Linda was very detailed and sweet. This was the best mani gel I've ever had and I've been to many salons prior. The staff seems to really love working there, so it's a very friendly atmosphere. There are no frills here, so don't expect TVs and the newest equipment. But if you are wanting the best/friendly service, this is the place to go!!! read more

I went in on a Friday around 3 for the first time and had no wait. The salon looks pretty basic as mentioned in another review, but all of the staff are really friendly. I did an overlay with shellac, and it turned out okay- a little thick in a few places. The prices are cheap. The only part that I would change is that my nail tech put the cuticle oil on my nails and said okay as if that signaled the end of the service. Most places will massage the cuticle oil in or use lotion and massage your hands to finish up the service. I'll go back, but maybe try a different tech. read more

This was horrible. The lady who did my pedicure was rude and very rough with my nails. They did a sugar scrub massage which hurt more than it felt good. I paid $40 for a crappy massage, no conversation, and now a week later both my big toes are swollen and infected. If you do go here ask for Bickey. She did a great job on my sister and was very conversational throughout the process. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I was in town and this was the closest salon to me! I didn't know what to really expect. I have a regular salon that I go to on my side of town. At first glance it looks like just a basic salon. I walked in and was immediately greeted! There were so many choices for colors and gel! They even offered a selection of drinks. I got a pedicure and a fill/shellac. I pay the exact same amount at my regular salon but got more of an experience here! The staff was super friendly. They went above and beyond and paid extra details to everything. A basic pedicure included a scrub and massage and all of these extras that I don't normally get at my regular place! I will definitely be returning here when I am around here! read more

I'm absolutely pissed on how my nails turned out! 1-two of my acrylics where coming off so I thought they would take them off and just replace them...no they just clipped them and part of my actual nail which hurt like nobody business. 2- I told her my pinky was very sensitive and asked her to be very careful...that didn't happen. By the end my pinky was swollen!!!! 3- I wanted to change the cold from a light pink to a light nude color and I repeated this 5 times and when it came time to put on the powder....I got the same color I came in there with..which was pink...are you kidding?!? She could tell I was pissed and when I went to was my hands she went to the back and I heard raised voices and from then on a guy took care of me. He then started to make excuses for why they couldn't do the nude color..."you would have started bleeding, we just couldn't do it." 4- I normally get stiletto nails and I like them VERY pointy kind of like triangles...I now have ovals on my fingers...I do not like them at all 5- my nails look extremely sloppy and poorly done. This was my works nail experience ever and I'm extremely upset with the service and my pinky is still hurting I would not recommend anyone going to this salon if you want good quality nails. read more

AWFUL AWFUL AWFUL. I was there to get a pink and white fill. My tips were completely lopsided, all different sizes and widths and they cut me twice. When I asked her to fix them she said all she could do was shorten the nail so then I asked her to soak them off but said it would take forever. I have been to a lot of nail salons over the years. Today I thought I would try somewhere new near my office. I was very pleased with the service. No matter where I have gone over the years, I was not 100% satisfied with the shape or paint job. I have always had to reshape my nails. NOT TODAY! The young lady who did my nails today did a GREAT job!!! No need to reshape & the paint (gel). AND the price was lower than I usually pay. Bonus! I will defiantly be back!!!! read more

I give solar nails 2 stars because thus far they've done a pretty good job with my pedicures. In one visit I had a manicure which I don't normally do professionally. I asked about an overlay as I know many women that do these to prevent breakage. They simply told me "no" and that it would ruin my nails. On my last visit I met a woman that had beautiful gel extensions with a French shellac polish. They were gorgeous! She said she too hated acrylic and her natural nails always broke off. I watched intently as they scraped off the shellac and she told me about the process. I asked if they could do that for me and they responded with excitement that they could! I went back today and it's as if I asked for plastic surgery. After they pushed and pushed to sell me on their white solar tips (which I despise) they finally agreed. I started to question what they were doing as the nail tech started clipping off my beautiful nails (the ones I hadn't broken this past week). Then she started gluing in regular plastic tips, again, after she grabbed the white tips. They assured me this was the better option for gel overlay. Then, out comes the acrylic! When I explained,again, what I had repeatedly been asking for, they tell me they don't know what gel extensions are. Needless to say, I was pretty upset. I now have no nails at all, and they've ground down what I DO have with that awful dremel tool! Their menu on their website clearly states uv gel extensions. Don't be fooled! read more
