They were absolutely great to work with and we are so happy we chose them to install our Solar. They sent a detailed proposal customized to your home and energy needs detailing exactly how much power you use, how much the panels can be expected to produce, how much money you would save each month, a rough estimate of how many years/months you can expect to break even, and the final cost of the system and installation. Everything is transparent and upfront. They setup all the paperwork and file everything for you. They were really fast and efficient and got us up and running with our utility company really quickly. Solar companies make me cringe. I found Solar Discovery on a google search. Prior to calling Solar Discovery I spent hours dealing with solar edge, and the original installer of the house just purchased. It has been the most miserable experience. I give Solar Discovery a call and Lisa answers the phone. This girl is a GEM. She was able to register my system to my address, something the installer never did and wouldn't do despite a $300 visit to power cycle my unit. She was also able to start working on a quote to move my inverter and add panels to my roof, just by looking at my system remotely and pictures of the area and roof. I have a small 2 bdrm / 1 bath single family home and after taking a loan we wanted to do a few improvments which one of them was installing a solar system. He did something that no one else did and it's taking the time to explain in very details and answered all my questions and on how this product and services really works. Ariel and his technical team are all very personable, knowledgeable, and explained everything along the way. Out of the 15 companies I contacted Ariel & Team, at Solar Price Discovery, have by Far, the best customer service of the local solar companies. I have already referred their company to 2 other people. Here is the reason I had to contact 15 companies. I had My solar system installed in 2018 by Peterson Dean, who has filed bankruptcy and no longer in business. Since then, my Solar Edge inverter quit monitoring and was told the 3G communications card needed to be upgraded to 4G (at my expense). I then received a notification from LG, my battery was on a recall and would be replaced. 6 month into the wait, my backup system quit working. During this time, I attempted to contact no less than 15 solar companies Large and small. Most I could not get a live person, and never received a call back. The 2 -3 companies I got to a real person said they would not work on a system they did not install. Even companies that were factory authorized to work on Solar Edge and LG products. Finally I reached out to Solar Price Discovery, Inc., I got through to Arial, explained my problem and he had his technician our 2-days later. They checked the inverter, and the new battery, removed the 3g cell card and added a Wi-Fi, receiver for the communications. They discovered the invertor had several error codes that could not be corrected, so they contacted Solar Edge, and got approval to replace the whole inverter. As soon as they received the new inverter, they came back out replaced the inverter, re-programed the backup system and for the next 2- weeks monitored and adjusted my system. 5-STARS for excellent workmanship and awesome customer service. read more

This is an awesome Company. Lisa is wonderful to deal with. She gets right back to you. Every suggestion she makes is right on. Took over when Petersen Dean went out of business. Over and above all 17 companies Solar Edge gave me to check out Many would not have anything to do with another Company that put in solar (or were out of business). Even though the inverters and their SD cards all come from Solar Edge. Solar Edge has the warranty on most inverters. Lisa assisted in making sure they lived up to the warranty They didn't want to send the SD card which is warrantied for 5yrs when our inverter went out just before 5yrs it's an additional $600. Solar Edge hedged a bit but she handled it. She even made sure they paid for part of the service fee to install the battery and told us how to get around the SD card. Which will prevent us from ever having to buy one when the inverter goes out again. After the warranty is up the inverter costs approximately $6,000 when it goes out. Great Company. read more

We installed our system years ago with another company that has since gone out of business. After noticing we were missing a panel on our online monitoring, we called around looking for a company to come and fix our issue. Most companies don't want to work on a system that they didn't install, but Lisa at Solar Discovery was so responsive and helpful I felt like I was a customer already. She was quick to contact the manufacturer to be able to look into our system and as soon as she could see what was going on, she sent a technician right out to fix. They worked through the problem and took almost every panel off to re-label and organize the system since we discovered it was off from the original installers. They even discovered one of the panels wasn't hooked up correctly! Lisa and Solar Discovery were amazing in troubleshooting a system they didn't install. Ariel did a great job explaining everything, including giving me a full accounting of my expected savings, and how to get the best bang for my buck (I went with Panasonic panels). After requesting quotes from multiple companies, I choose Solar Discovery to install solar on both an ADU we were building and our main house. I worked primarily with Ben, and he was extremely helpful both in the beginning of the process at explaining all the different factors to consider with our job and throughout the installation process in helping coordinate things. Our job was a little more complicated because we were wanting to install solar on the ADU which was under construction and our main house. We were also having our electrical panel upgraded. They installed the panels on the main house immediately and were patient when there were delays due to weather on when we were ready to have them install on the ADU. These folks are great. For us, they are the exception to the rule in this industry. We had our Panels and Battery installed by a company who then went out of business (Petersen-Dean/Solar America). We never got a briefing on how the system was finally setup, what we needed to do to maintain etc. Not long after - the LG Battery failed - though it wasn't initially obvious whether it was the battery or the inverter. I contacted several companies and individuals. A couple came out and evaluated - then never returned my calls. Some never returned my initial calls. Several wouldn't work on a system they didn't install. One charged me to come out and look at the system (for about half an hour) - then proposed to charge me several thousand dollars to come back out and "really" look at the system and then work with LG to replace the battery. (Don't know what the initial charge was for then??). Working with Chris and Lisa and the other folks at Solar Price Discovery was an exception to all of these experiences. They were up front, true to their word and reasonably priced. As much as anything they were great at keeping me informed all along the way. They ultimately installed the replacement battery (under warranty) - no additional "hidden" charges. Made sure I understood what was happening at each step. We couldn't be happier and will certainly call them again should we need more help. HIGHLY recommended. read more
