They were very friendly, helpful and not pushy at all. They also have a fantastic collection of the finest glasses and newest styles out there. I perused a number of other glasses and styles and they offered their opinions and advice. They didn't put on a pouty face when I said thank you for your time and left either. Of course I came back a half an hour later and bought the Salts.

I purchased a pair of Maui Jim sunglasses approximately 9 months ago. After only 3 months I…read morenoticed that the side pieces, which have 2 parts started to come apart. I notified Maui Jim and they directed me to ship the sunglasses back to the manufacturer. Even though the glasses had a defect , I was required to pay shipping costs of $40. Six weeks later I received the sunglasses back . Within weeks the same problem arose whereas the rear piece of the side piece began to come apart. This piece fits over the ear. Each time I put the glasses on and removed them the rubber side piece begins to slide off the metal frame. I requested that the store exchange the glasses for a new pair which has a permanent plastic side piece of approximately equal value. I paid $280 for these Maui Jim sunglasses, which are the most expensive pair I have ever owned. This is the worst product experience I've had with any optical glasses. I strongly recommend that you don't purchase Maui Jim products from this store as they were unwilling to rectify a replacement or refund for this obviously defective product.

But for this visit, I only cared whether they had one particular set of sunglasses in stock. I managed to scratch a pair of 6 week old Oakley's that I had bought at another location. I was on vacation in Newport and had no receipt, but I was curious to see whether they would exchange them. And they did. They traded my damaged pair for a brand new pair with no fuss. They grabbed a new pair from the shelf, took my contact info, and I was on my way. The whole process lasted about 15 minutes, but I didn't mind seeing as how the woman helping me was smoking hot. The wait probably wouldn't have been as long under normal circumstances but the place was jam-packed with 4th of July tourists.

When asked if I needed help, I showed the kind lady my glasses which had lost the tiny screw on the left side causing the lens to fall out. Without hesitation this very kind person spread a cloth on the counter for her tools and my glass frame and lens. She expertly found the correct tiny screw and in a few minutes replaced the lost one. After she graciously cleaned my lenses, she dexterously handed them to me. They were not even sunglasses, but the Sunglass Hut did not discriminate. I count myself to be a very satisfied future customer of this kind, generous and patient establishment. I'll soon be back.

Their customer service is top notch. I bought a pair of Ray-Bans from them over a year ago. Unfortunately, I lost the pair and we contacted the sales associate Jen who went above and beyond looking through company records to find exactly what model I had purchased. She was very helpful and called us back on multiple occasions to assist in replacing the shades I misplaced. Overall, this is a 10 out of 10 small business with exceptional customer service.
