This is the most convenient sunglass store in Provincetown. Right on Commercial, it is near the busiest part of the drag. I've been here several times, one time when I had lost my sunglasses I came to Coconuts to get a new pair and the staff was really nice and helpful. They have lots of name brand sunglasses, with a big emphasis on Ray Ban and Maui Jim. You see them advertised and featured a lot all over the store. Coconuts says they abide by these three rules: -No knock offs. Ever. We know quality is important. From Maui Jim to Costa Del Mar, and even brand name designers like Prada and Gucci--they're selling the best of the best in sunglasses. -If it breaks, they'll fix it. Accidents happen. -They will make it affordable. They price match any competitor and they frequently run sales and promotions. Love coconuts! The staff are so friendly and knowledgable and their inventory is great! I got my favourite pair of glasses there a few years ago, which my sister promptly stole, so I had to get another, and the staff are always so lovely when I have to go in and tighten them. Another successful trip to Coconuts! They have a huge selection. I went back after a couple years and they have a bunch of new brands... Celine, Balenciaga, etc.. These guys are absolutely fantastic. A lot of establishments have forgotten what excellent customer service really means, but not these guys. My fiancee's sunglasses broke while we were in Provincetown this past weekend. We thought the screw had just come out of them and that it'd be a quick and easy fix, but it turns out the screw had broken inside the piece and was lodged in there. The gentleman took her sunglasses and asked us to come back in a little while. When we returned, he explained that the screw had broken and told us that he'd taken apart one of their pairs of sunglasses in order to use a part from the new pair to fix her pair. I was awestruck - they were so nice and so accommodating and they saved us from having to replace her glasses right then. He also shined them up for her. When I asked him what we owed him for the service, he told me that we were all set and to just keep them in mind when we're looking to replace our sunglasses. When either of us need new sunglasses in the future, this is where we'll be going. Things like this just don't happen anymore - this is the type of business I like to support. read more

We went in here to check out some smith sunglasses. I love the brand but never get the chance to actually try them on as no stores near me carry them, so I always buy them online. I was telling an associate how stoked I was to actually be able to try them on and she said "well maybe next time you can actually buy them from a small family business" which was a little weird but I didn't think much of it. Fantastic store/great selection. We came in just browsing commercial street and maybe looking for a pair of ray-bans and left with a new pair of sunglasses and a new favorite made-in-America brand, Maui Jim, from whom Coconuts has a fairly sweeping selection, at prices that rival online. Our sales person, Hazel, was so gracious and did a great job making us feel special (including letting us try on more than the permitted 5 pairs when it was clear we were going to buy, even though because of COVID each pair has to be thoroughly re-sanitized before being put back on display). Needless to say she listened very well to my date, and without being pushy or salesy in the least, presented us with half a dozen different options we never would have considered ourselves but that pushed the envelope in just the right direction. I stopped by this shop one evening on vacation. I was "just looking" but found a pair of Bolle that I really, really liked and bought them. When I put them on the next day in the full sunlight I noticed an imperfection in one of the lenses directly in my line of vision. I went back to exchange them and here's where the story is gets good. It turns out that I had purchased the last pair in that style. I really wanted them and was not interested in anything other glasses. Ivan the manager offered to order another pair and ship them to my home. Not only did I get them quickly, but he sent emails to notify me every step of the process. It's great to get such wonderful customer service from a store I do not have the chance to frequent but when I'm in P-town next summer, I will look here for my next pair of sunglasses. read more

I bought a pair of inexpensive sun glasses last summer. They broke after 2 months. I went back/forth with them. Needless to say, I didn't get back there this summer, and they did not get replaced. I recommend you DON'T buy off the wall, as the glasses do not hold up, and Coconuts will not replace. Shame on me! However, a caveat: I have purchased designer sunglasses for many years at TJMaxx & Marshall's for half the price I paid at Coconuts, and NEVER had a problem. This place is really nice, great selection of all the top brands on display and in stock. However they truly have the worst customer service I have ever experienced; I like to think of myself as rather reasonable when it comes to situations that arise through my dealings with various types of businesses. I spent $500 on two pairs of sunglasses, one for the girlfriend and one for myself and I less than one month I had problems with a pair of Rayband's. One lens had small oil like spots for inside of the left polarized lens; I having a home in Truro decided after an unanswered phone call to the manager who I will not mention decided to go in. Went in showed a nice associate the problem she gave me a number to call, I called they stated in a message to mail a check for 13 bucks, the sunglasses at my shipping expense to them and they will repair them. I feeling that this is ludacris went in asked for the manager and was told he isn't in till Saturday. I left a number for I^^^ the manager to call me; surprise again he didnt, and I eventually caved in and spent 50 dollars in totally after shipping and the 13 fee to get them fixed. Hands down do not bother getting an item from them, they sell and forget, and your better of going anywhere else even amazon. You may want to think twice about walking into this store and purchasing an 'inexpensive' pair of sunglasses. The store has low end & high end items. If you are a budget-conscious person as myself, I feel that I still paid a lot for an item that broke at the nose bridge just a few months later, and I take care of my items. I have purchased sunglasses at TJMaxx for much less, and still have them (now about 10 years old). So why is it that I step into a 'sunglass store', purchase an 'inexpensive' pair of sunglasses (that I like and happen to be in my budget), and they don't last? I tried contacting the store, but they no longer have the item in stock, and unless I go back to the store for some type of 'credit', they cannot really help me. I had a great experience here two weekends ago...I went in looking for Oakleys to replace a lost pair, and Ken, a sales staffer, was extremely attentive. He helped me pick out the pair that best fit my face (which says a lot, because finding the right frames for me is a chore); he was patient while I tried on probably 20 pairs, and let me wear different polarized lense colors in the daylight on Commercial Street so that I knew exactly what I was buying. I ended up purchasing a pair of Maui Jims. I'll be hitting up Coconuts next summer if I'm on the market for new frames. Ask for Ken! read more

AVOID THIS STORE. The staff are inexperienced students on summer vacation and they don't know anything about the sunglasses, good service, or store polices. They tell you about the shop's "warrantees" and "exchanges" and "satisfaction guaranteed" but DON'T BE FOOLED! If your sunglasses have a defect - tough, YOU have to deal with it. This store WON'T EXCHANGE your defective glasses - you have to resolve the issue with the manufacture on your time and dime. Store "manager" is never around - and she's rude. read more
