The latke was okay but it had way too much sauce for my liking (kewpie mayo and unagi sauce). The carrots and tomatoes were fresh and delicious, though the portions were small. The French fries were nice to order and pair with the NY strip and General Tso-Wich sandwich. For mains, the grilled branzino was delicious (though the portion was small), the NY strip was a bit chewy, and the General Tso-Wich had good flavor. For dessert, they put a sparkler since it was my birthday but I wish they offered a complimentary birthday dessert. Both the sponge cake and Olivia's pancake à la mode were too sweet for my taste. When we left, the hostess didn't greet or acknowledge us so I didn't think they were friendly or welcoming. Unfortunately, I don't think I would come here again to celebrate special occasions.

A wonderful dinner to celebrate my son's birthday…read more Service was outstanding. Made the experience all the better. Started out with cocktails and some happy hour à la cart items. All great. Really enjoyed the signature cocktails. The fries and the chicken wings are a must. We got an array of dishes including the swordfish, dorado, portobello mushroom, and the ribeye for 2. I think they knock it out of the park with the fish and the sauces. So good. And of course we finished with the soft service. Got some of each. It's a great way to wrap up a fabulous dinner.

We started with the Salatim, and while the variety of spreads and salads was fresh and enjoyable, the pita was surprisingly underwhelming. It tasted more like premade pita than something fresh, which was disappointing since it's such a big part of the meal. For our mains, we ordered the Chicken Shishlik and the Romanian Beef Kebab. The chicken was the biggest letdown of the night it was tender but lacked flavor. The beef kebab, on the other hand, was juicy, well-seasoned, and easily the better choice. Oddly enough, the French fries ended up being the best thing we ate all night. They were perfectly crispy and honestly some of the best fries I've had in Philly. Dessert was another disappointment. For a restaurant at this price point, having only two soft-serve ice cream desserts felt lazy and like an afterthought. Overall, the food wasn't bad, but nothing besides the fries and beef kebab really stood out or made me want to come back. In a city like Philadelphia, where there are so many amazing restaurants in the same price range, I think there are much better options for both the food and the overall experience.

It was perfect for my friends and I to swing by and grab a bite. The service was phenomenal, our waiter was cheery and attentive to our needs. The food wasn't bad either, we started with these fried banana bites which honestly was the highlight of the meal. The chicken tenders and spicy fried chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries were quite good and standard. The bun on the sandwich was soft and pillowy which was perfect for the flavorful, spicy, and slightly tangy chicken patty. The chicken patty didn't particularly have a crunchy crust on it but it was juicy. I think Front Street Cafe is worth a visit if you're looking for a place to hang out with friends and to grab some food. It is pricy for what I got but I would say the atmosphere made up for it.

Another staff member brought our food and left it so quickly we had to flag down another server to bring us silverware and ask where our server was to refresh drinks. The food we ordered had great portion sizes and flavor. The shrimp and grits were thick and chunky with just the right amount to spiciness. The mushroom bacon was a nice vegan option and crispy. $ Limited paid street parking nearby

Out waitress, Laural, she was awesome, she not only waited on us but she also spoke to our group exchanging tales of our past lives. I ordered the following: anna breakfast 22 two eggs, sun-dried tomatoes and fresh chickpeas, le puy lentils, maquis herb sausage, semolina toast semolina pancakes 22 huckleberry balsamic jam, pine nut streusel, whipped honey The Anna breakfast, I had the option to order poached eggs and that made me pretty excited. Never had lentils for breakfast, but it was a nice hearty touch. The sausage was a nice touch too. Also, thank you for the tangerine, it made a nice snack after the meal. My best friend and I split the pancakes. They were delicious. However, it came with a light green sauce that was far from sweet and an acquired taste. We tasted it, but it was left unfinished. I can't wait to take my wife here. I would also love to stay at the hotel.

First off, Hotel Anna & Bel is gorgeous, and when you enter the dining room, you feel like you've been transported back to a Corsican hotel circa the 1940s. The dining area is medium sized, with an expansive open bar, and while the two tops are small, they're not crammed so tightly together that it becomes awkward every time you get up to go to the bathroom. Once seated, we were greeted by our waiter who asked us if we'd ever dined there before and after telling him "yes" he quickly ran through the menu without much personality or insightfulness, telling us for two people opting for two small plates, a pasta and two entrees was standard. So, left to our own devices and not being mega hungry, we opted for two small plates (one off their daily specials), a pasta, and one entree. Bread & Oil $0: Each table is presented with a small bowl of massive green olives swimming in lightly flavored olive oil and house made sourdough. This was appreciated and acted as a good vehicle to sop up some of the sauces, though not very memorable like some other bread services I've had. Cucumber & Pistachio Soda $10: This arrived beautifully presented with a huge sprig of fresh mint and a bubbly chartreuse color that aligned with the bright, herbaceous flavor of the cucumber and almond-forward pistachio. 4 out of 5. Worth the order. Skate Cheeks with Heirloom White Polenta & Jimmy Nardello Brown Butter Crisp ($25): Despite being one of the most talked-about dishes on the menu, this one didn't live up to the hype. For nearly the price of an entrée, we got four tiny bites of flaked skate cheek which were nicely seared, buttery, and tasting mostly of... butter. The polenta was, well, polenta and brown butter crisp was good but just layered on more butter flavor. Delicious? Sure. One note? Absolutely. Worth $25? Not even close. I expected much, much more. 2 out of 5. Skip it if you came hungry. Amberjack Crudo w/ sundried tomato passata, saffron anchoiade, pickled fresno & marcona almonds $24: This was the second favorite dish of the night. Thin slices of fresh amberjack sat atop of flavorful and bright passata sauce. The pickled Fresno added acidity and saltiness while the almonds added a nice crunchy contrast. The anchoiade, however, was MIA. 4 out of 5. Order if on the menu and you're looking for a lighter bite. Storzapretti ricotta dumplings w/ guanciale, arrabbiata & fiore sardo $27: These were the favorite of the night. Hearty ricotta dumplings were bathing in a chunky, rich and intensely flavored arrabbiata sauce. While the dumplings were a bit heavy and dense, the guanciale sparse and the chef may have been a bit heavy handed on the Calabrian chili (or did they use smoked paprika?), the flavors were well received. The heartiness was also much needed after the lack of heft in the first two rounds. The grated fiore sardo added a nice salty punch and, all in all, this was a solid dish. 4 out of 5. Order this if you want a belly hug. Lancaster Ivory Chicken with Cannellini Beans, Fennel, Clementine & Calabrian Chili $36: I know this is chicken, but somehow it was the most chickeny tasting chicken I've ever had, and not necessarily in a good way. The bone in breast and thighs were dry, while the skin was flaccid and lacking flavor. Thankfully, the beany broth and caramelized fennel and clementine helped save the dish (and were honestly the best parts) 1 out of 5. Skip this and go for the pork short ribs or swordfish instead. Our dining neighbors ordered both and not only did they look fantastic, they confirmed they were delicious. We were presented with the dessert menu which felt uninspired and honestly after the meal we had, we didn't want to risk being let down even more so opted to get ice cream at Weckerly's instead. Bastia looks nice on paper, heck, it even looks nice inside, but unfortunately the food never quite catches up to the setting. I gave it two chances and got two strikes. In a sea of great resties around Fishtown, that's more than enough to knock it out of the running, and I don't see myself dining there again anytime soon.

I personally would order this as my meal if I could. room temp, oily, good crunch to soft ratio. Judion Beans: good beans. they are on a similar wavelength as butter beans. honestly I get them for the table for the extra bowl of oil at the bottom to dip the crusts in. Creamy Oregano Salad: very interesting. small shaves of mushroom and fennel. very slight bitter taste. oddly addictive. the olives were my favorite part. i'd consider these friendly olives to those suspicious of olives. and the olives are cut in halves, so easy to pick out. so are the mushrooms. easy split for a table of four. beyond that i'd get two. *ADD ON* pickled chilies: very good. I suggest adding this to the pie. they are green, spicy, delicious, absolutely lovely. Corn Pizza: all together very delicious. my favorite part are the cherry tomatoes on top, which I would really like to be an add on option to other pies. they are the perfect flavor and size. i'm not particularly a tomato fan, especially whole. these are a rare exception. Classic Pizza?: solid, no notes. good as always. My only wish is that they offered a sauce to dip my crust in. they have very good crust, perfect ration of crispy and fluffy. just needs a sauce. Overall, great service, the manager greeted us to check on our meal, our server was attentive, the vibe is great inside.

I loved the burrata! Super creamy and well complemented by the umami flavor of the mushrooms. Mains: Pizza Arrabbiata and Roasted Peppers Pizzas - Both were delicious! If you liked spicy, you'll love the arrabbiata. The cream and cherry pepper vinaigrette on the red pepper pizza was so perfectly savory with a hint of acidity. If you have to go with one, I vote for the red pepper pizza.

Unfortunately, my experience with the service was mixed, and at times the staff came across as patronizing and difficult to work with. As a walkin, I was able to get a table without a reservation. I asked the waiter to tell me more about the restaurant and the menu, but rather than offering any additional explanation or recommendations, he essentially read the menu flyer to me. I found this unhelpful and somewhat dismissive. After my meal, I completed the receipt and was preparing to leave. Before I had gotten up from the table, the bartender approached to collect the receipt and asked me to physically move so they could retrieve it. I found the interaction unnecessarily aggressive and uncomfortable. After taking the receipt, they did not speak to me or clear the table while I was still there. Despite the experience, I left a 20% tip. The host, however, was warm and welcoming when I left, so my impression is that the quality of service may vary depending on who you interact with. More generally, I would expect staff to allow guests to finish their visit before insisting on collecting a completed bill and receipt. As a person of color, the interactions I experienced also left me questioning whether I would feel comfortable returning on my own. I would hope the restaurant takes feedback like this seriously, because the food and menu concept are interesting, but the service experience could be improved.
