Mixed in cement gravel. I had a video of my sifting the rock but it was too long to post.

I bought a scoop of 1-2 inch madera rock. Upon first glance I was very happy with purchase. As I got to the bottom of the pile I started seeing more and more small gravel for mixing cement within the rocks. If anyone knows who uses landscape rocks you scoop along the concrete to scoop it up. It was kind of a pain and I had to sift it out. I wouldn't have said anything but I tossed the gravel and then the sanitation didn't pick up my can because it was too heavy. I gave a 3 because I liked the rock and the delivery service. I didn't like the hour it took sifting out the gravel.

What is the easiest and the CHEAPEST way to fill a 5 foot by 3foot dried out fish pond?

Try using what is native to your area. Dirt is best but make sure you compact it as best you can in 8-12" layers (AKA Lifts). Don't use gravel or sand as it will move and shift over time and won't give you a solid base.

Super friendly and knowledgeable service with huge selection of fish and water plants!…read more I have a small water fountain in my backyard and turning it into a pond. I had no idea what I'm doing, but the staff here are amazing. I learned so much from them. Based on the size of my b pond, they recommended smaller size fish and let me know which fish are the easiest to care for. So far, the fish have been doing well! I also got a few water plants. They were so nice to show me all the different kinds of plants what would work. They let me smell them and that was so cool. I got a few that had flowers and the fish have been enjoying them as shelter. I love the sunland water gardens for teaching me so much and having everything I needed.

She basically gave us an encyclopedia's worth of knowledge in 10 minutes and helped us tremendously. Easy parking, great selection, super friendly, and just an awesome family business. After visiting, I completely understand how they've stayed in business for 65 years. We'll definitely be back.

Substandard design and substandard installation…read more I contacted Standard Design Group to replace the 3/4" crushed rock that had washed away from my parking strip. I was thinking of using epoxy-stabilized gravel. I had other matching rock in the front yard. I expected to use something smaller per the epoxy maker's recommendations. Alan, Standard Design Group's designer, recommended using 3/4" crushed rock so it would match the pathway through the center of the front yard. This was terrible advice. Epoxy-coated rock is much darker than uncoated rock, so matching the size was irrelevant. The epoxy-coated 3/4" rock has enormous spaces between the rocks that trap trash and leaves and allow weeds, wildflowers, and the neighboring palm trees to germinate in them. Weeding the porous structure is very difficult. Pulling the wildflowers has broken loose large chunks of the epoxy-coated rock. Small chunks and individual rocks are breaking free from foot traffic. Alan never visited the site. He underestimated the amount of epoxy required. The installation crew's foreman was going to leave patches of the rock uncoated. When I saw it and told him that it was not what I expected, he had the workers mix some of the already coated and curing rock with the dusty, uncoated rock. This resulted in weak bonding with even larger spaces between the rocks. There were still uncoated patches left. I contacted Standard Design Group by email after the installation and again after chunks of rock began breaking free. I did not receive a response.
