UPDATE: This is a response to Magaly. (1) I dealt with HER at Paramount Nursery, NOT a sister company. AND my sister was never involved in this transaction. (2) I never insisted on talking to her during her cousin's funeral. She offered that information for no reason when I was disputing the charges that were never agreed upon. If we were bringing personal business into the transaction, I would have let her know I was dealing with my dying father. To date, they have NOT RESPONDED to my messages about a dying olive tree UNDER WARRANTY. (3) There was back and forth and scrutiny over the bill because there were extra charges not agreed to, AND they were charging tax on labor! Magaly is rude and combative and NOT professinoal. Her father, the owner of the business. attempted to fix the situation and admitted that his daughter is not good for the business. (4) On top of everything, the material they used to lay under the rocks is thin, of bad quality, and allows weeds to come through way worse than the material we previously had. If you do hire them, remember to question everything and stay on top of the project. (5) Lastly, the irrigation system they installed waters all the trees equally even though the olive trees need less water than the other trees. They didn't account for that and now the olive trees are being overwatered, and there is no way to fix this error. A professional company would have advised the client that the trees chosen have different water needs. I am learning this after the fact. read more

Cecilio is the man! They were actually all helpful from start to finish. I'm a newbie in the plant world and had a couple areas in my backyard that I wanted to liven up. Right when I got here Cecilio greeted me with a smile right when I arrived. I gave him an idea of what I had envisioned and off we went to the massive grounds to where all the plants were. He took his time and showed me most of what he had and explained to me which plant would work best. They had a wide variety of plants from succulents, gold and black bamboo, birds of paradise (white and red) giant palms, red banana trees and more. Very excited to find this place. A really great selection of succulents at much better prices than Home Depot/ Lowes. You have to hunt down a worker, but the guy who assisted me was extremely helpful and kind. He walked me across the street, waited for me to pick out my choices, chose the biggest/cleanest ones (without me asking), loaded them on a cart and carefully placed them all in my car. I was very impressed by the service! I was planning on doing it all myself but i all i had to do was point, though i should mention i had my toddler with me. NURSERY EXTENDS TO BOTH SIDES OF TERRA BELLA. One side has the large selection of succulents and the other side has citrus trees etc. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. This place is HUGE! We were out today scouting for plants for our new front yard and this place wasn't far so we decided to check it out. It says "Wholesale Prices" on the sign so we weren't sure of it's open to the public but when we called the person answering the phone confirmed that they are open to the public. Such a large selection, it's honestly a little overwhelming. We didn't end up buying anything yet, but will most likely be back when we are ready. I'm in the process of landscaping my yard, and found out about Paramount Nursery through my husband's co-worker. This person coordinates community service beautification projects for an animation studio, and sources plants from Paramount. Based on his experience, I felt comfortable ordering trees for delivery over the phone. Their website has a pricing list of all the plants and trees in stock. I ordered a 20-gallon Desert Museum Palo Verde tree for $145 and a 24-gallon Manzanillo olive tree for $120. Delivery was $45. Magaly was the one who took my order and helped me pick out trees. She was helpful, informative and prompt in our communication over the phone and via text. I appreciated that she sent me photos of the trees from different angles. When I called back to inquire about an additional plant, a night blooming jasmine, she said that she would include it in our order free of charge, if I took a moment to write a Yelp review. She didn't mention it had to be a positive one, but I'm glad that I can confidently give Paramount a five-star review regardless of the free plant. Delivery went smoothly. In fact, the guy was here an hour early. We provided a dolly and he moved the trees to the exact spot where we were planning to plant them. My husband and I planted them ourselves. Three weeks later, I'm happy to report our trees are adjusting wonderfully to their new environment. We can see new sprouts on the branches. Excited to have found a great nursery and will recommend Paramount to our friends and family in the neighborhood. They will always be our first stop for landscaping projects! read more

A large selection at low prices. You won't find your annuals here...this is a place to find bushes (roses included) and trees. I've bought two bunches of trees here and had them delivered and installed, all for about 35-40% of the cost charged by the big place on the 126 that advertises a lot. As noted in other reviews, these are nice people (family owned and operated) and helpful. Lots of drought-tolerant plants. My one complaint is that many of the plants & trees do not have identifying tags. They have improved on this recently but still need to finish the job. You can ask staff members (all of whom are well informed regarding names and care) but it would be nice to see it posted with the plant. This place is huge - around 10 acres - and well stocked. This is about a 20-mile drive for me but it is the only place I go unless I'm looking for a plant they don't carry. read more

Man oh man. Remember one thing, for me time is very important. If I am driving to this nursery and on the way I easily pass 20 of them, it's for a damn good reason. I recently removed my turf and started converting my front yard to a water smart landscape. I turned to Yelp in my time of need to find this beacon of hope. Now I don't say this naively, I have been to many nurseries before and this is the best one. First, the selection is great. I found almost everything I needed. The layout makes sense, plants are grouped together (succulents, plants that require little water, fruit trees, etc). Add to that most plants are clearly labeled. You could do your own research. But why would you when there are such friendly staff. The people here have been very insightful. They give you the facts and give awesome suggestions. All this with incredible pricing. I filled my trunk with 30 plants and spent less than $100. You would blow out $100 at OSH or Lowes and get less than half that amount. Make the trip, it's worth it. read more

Best things about this place is price, variety, and nice people. But quality could be better. 2 if the fruit trees we bought had pale leaves with some that were yellow and orange upon delivery (this is in the middle of spring). One of the flower bushes had pale stunted flowers, which did better after we gave it fertilizer. Their roses were all dying because of powdery mildew and they had a lot of roses. Need to take better care of their plants. Just need to be careful in your selection and double check upon delivery read more

So the owner took my credit away that he offered for his mkstake. He said I was ungrateful BECAUSE I told him I was disappointed at not being contacted sooner. That is not a good enough reason to take a credit away for mistake you made. There is a huge lack of customer service here. A bit of a disappointing first experience. I ordered 2 Anjou pear trees and 2 raspberries plants of over $200 a few weeks ago and today my trees are supposed to be delivered so I call an answering voice message system cause there's no real people to talk to unfortunately and leave a voicemail. I email them also. I finally get a response saying they will refund me because their out of stock and their staff forgot to call me. Ok fair, But now I have two giant pear tree size holes dug up in my lawn that I can't do anything with. I just would really have appreciated being told sooner so that I could have arranged to get the trees elsewhere but now most places have shut down as of yesterday the 31 leaving me absolutely no option that I can find. They did offer me a discount and I very much appreciate that just disappointed by the lack of communication. read more

I visited Paramount Nursery the day before Thanksgiving based on high Yelp ratings, and the service was great. George assisted me with the tree I was looking for (Mimosa ) and said that he could deliver the tree same day, which I thought was great service. I opted to have the tree delivered the following Monday at a specified time. The office staff was friendly and helpful. They told me I could tag the tree I wanted and they would deliver on a specified day and time. My tree was delivered on time and in great condition by a really nice guy named Salvador. He took great care in protecting my tree as he moved it from the truck to the location where the tree was to be planted. Overall, experience was excellent and seamless.
