I buy my Christmas tree here every year. They have the most gorgeous noble firs. Yes you can go down the street and get a cheaper tree from Home Depot or Lowes, but these trees are beautiful, will last through Christmas and I love supporting small businesses in my community. I went with Ultra Greens because my family and friends have had great experiences with them in the past. I on the other hand have not a good overall experience with them. I dealt with Mike on a sod order of just over $2700. We talked about delivery dates and he said that the date selected would not be a problem. Delivery was supposed to happen a month later because of demand for that variety of sod. The day before the delivery scheduled and agreed to Mike calls me to "remind me" that the delivery is "today". I reminded him that we had agreed to the following day. Mike casually responded with, "Oh, I must have forgotten to call and tell you that they only deliver that kind of sod on Tuesday's and Thursday's." To add insult to injury, the sod was delivered and left on the street with no warning what so ever that it was going to be left outside. I called Mike to find out why that happened and all he can respond with was, "I'm not the one delivering it, it came from the supplier." I told him that I don't care who it came from, I placed the order with Ultra Greens and that if the grass dies or is stolen, it's going to be Ultra Greens fault. After multiple phone calls, Ultra Greens sends a truck with a forklift to move the sod on to the driveway and cover it with a tent. When the drivers arrived they tell my wife that they can't get the sod in because of the tent. My tells them that the tent can be moved and she even proceeded to help them move the tent. Once the tent was moved, the driver and his assistant proceed to buy snow cones from a street vendor and lounge in the shade before moving everything. So now I have just over $2700 in sod sitting on my driveway, in a heatwave, a day before the crews are scheduled to come in to install the sod after we had agreed to delivery dates. I hope my sod doesn't go to waste. tl;dr Don't deal with Mike. I don't know about the rest of the people there. read more

I was amazed how healthy they were! Then I worked with his brother, Marcos, on purchasing a fountain. It took about one week, but then it came and they installed it! I visited Ultra Greens after passing it on the off ramp of the freeway. This is a great place if you are buying plants or have questions with regards to landscaping etc. My dealings with Mr. Sanchez were great he is very knowledgeable and will give you a straight answer when you are looking to buy something. He is exceptional. On the other hand, due to my dealings with Mr Sanchez, I felt comfortable purchasing a fountain from Marco and although I was very happy with the fountain that cost $1,200 I accidentally gave the fountain installers 200 (installation) + 160 tip (I meant to give them 60). I immediately informed Marco who confirmed that I did give them $100 extra. Marco said to call him and he would try to get it back. He never got back to us and ducked me when I visited the facility. Look I was stupid to over pay the installers but you would think could customer service would be to say "hey why don't you pick out a couple plants to make it right". Either way ducking a customer is not the right way to do things. Go to Reseda Fountains. Biggest selection, better customer service. Additionally, I bought $1,100 worth of sod from Mike. I was told it would arrive between 8:00 and 9:00 Saturday morning. There was a mix up and then I was told it would arrive by 10. Long story short called Mike all day, no answer, only Mr Sanchez. Waited all day and the sod arrived at 4:00. No call no nothing. Do your self a favor, buy from Valley Sod. Exceptional staff very helpful, not a bunch of Jack Asses like Mike. read more

Cute little place to get all your green needs. I recommend this location because it creates a unique experience when tree shopping especially when comparing it to Home Depot or Lowes. They have paved pathways outlined with pebbles, patio tables and chairs, and even a few creative lawn art all of which make a welcoming environment. The staff was friendly but not pushy. When it came time to leave they buckled our tree in nice and tight which allowed for a secure ride home. The prices are reasonable, maybe a bit more expensive but I personally think it's worth it for the experience. The majority of their trees are displayed, unlike Home Depots, Ralph's, and Lowes who typically have their trees stringed up, making tree-pickin' easy. On April 17th one of their company trucks side swiped my rv's antennae which subsequently cracked my motorhome windshield. I was reading inside about two feet from where the impact happened. I identified the truck and I jumped in my car and tracked the driver down at a fast food restaurant about a quarter mile away. The driver was polite and courteous. I have contacted Mike (the boss) at UltraGreens twice via phone and emailed (per his verbal request) him photos of the damage (and the branch sticking out the side of the truck that did the damage). As of today I am still waiting to hear back from him on this. I would be wary of any business that treats situations like this with such disregard. My only next option is small claims court for the thousand dollar windshield replacement. Praying that this post might invoke some sort of response from Mike so i don't have to go through the legal hoops to get compensated properly for these damages. Thank you for reading. read more

I love this nursery. They have so many Selections and so many plants and trees to choose from. They also have a very large selection of Water fountains. I was very pleased that the service workers who work there were so eager to help me understand how to care for the types of plants and materials we needed based on what I described to them. Their prices for 1 gallon are much better than the "garden centers" and "big box" stores. Need to replace a second tree So I go in today they said don't have your invoice cannot replace your tree. Had it 10 months ago one of two trees is dead and they won't replace it. People can easily miss the fact that this place is there, but it is worth it. Recently I looked in three places for hibiscus and a crepe myrtle tree. This place not only had larger plants to show, but what they had was larger and less expensive than Green Arrow and West Hills, the two other places I had been to.
