I took in my 4' x 8' sliding patio door to be rescreened. The job was completed way beyond my expectations. Cooper's has almost always come through for me when I need a hard to find part. I have been taking my window screens to them for years. Almost always satisfied with the results (one time the screen was not centered). Anyways, since it was a big screen and I was using my RX, I took it early in the morning, when they opened, to avoid traffic. I was told by the rescreener that they have same day turnaround. I replied that I would probably return early the next morning. By one o'clock, I received a voicemail that my door was ready for pickup. I went over an hour later and got it. Very impressed with the service. I chose the SunTex? material, I believe it's called, to reduce the rays by 80%. I was expecting to pay at least $100. Price was $60 and change. This mom and Pop shop in the year 2025 is very unprofessional I called in for a very specific product to see if they had it in stock and whoever answered said they cannot check on it because they are too busy and they don't have the technology to either put me on hold or transfer me to somebody else or ask somebody else in the store to make sure they had in stock and advise that I just come in and sure enough I came in wasted, almost half an hour of driving to, and from for no reason to find out they didn't have the product in stock when someone could've just quickly checked or one of the other employees since there are a dozen employees at this business who could've easily just checked and put me on hold for 10 minutes instead of wasting over half an hour of driving and gas This is a very basic concept that people can do since the 1900s when phones became available in every other hardware store is capable of doing this whether it takes 10 minutes or 30 minutes on the phone instead of forcing the customer to come in just to find out, they don't have it in stock Please educate and train your staff to be a little bit more courteous and respectful I'm always up for supporting smaller mom and pop shops but if they're wasting time I might as well just go to Home Depot or Lowe's down the street where they do check and double check on products even though there might be a wait on hold but not wasting six dollars per gallon on gas and time sitting in traffic I ended up calling Ace Hardware in Porter Ranch and they were able to help me and put me on hold to find the product and they said it was in stock. I ended up going there which is another 10 or 15 minute drive and they are literally 10 times the size of Cooper's Hardware and 1000 times cleaner with more professional trained staff read more

This place has a nice variety of hardware items and has friendly people to assist you. I like coming here versus going to Home Depot or Lowe's for smaller items. They also make keys, have an outdoor area with rocks, bricks and stepping stones, and your basic hardware. read more

Friendly , welcoming staff. We just love them been here for ever and stop and quickly pick up for small repairs around the house , painted bathroom and about a month or so doggie ripped our sliding door and hubby to down and they repaired it . Yesterday paramedics had to break my mother in-law's window to help her. I brought the glass panel to Cooper's for repair but I didn't mention anything to the glass guy about how it was broken. He told me it would be ready in 20 min I couldn't believe my ears. How quickly I could secure my in-laws house while she was hospitalized was priceless. It was actually done in less than 15 min and in less than an hour, total time. Thank you! read more

SUPER friendly staff (and customers) here! my dad and i came here to buy some long, heavy metal/iron poles and we don't have a truck so we were going to take them diagonally on our Toyota car and staff just poured with help to help us put the poles in, and then we all came to a conclusion that it was a but dangerous since the poles sorta came put from the windows. So a gentleman who doesn't even work there offered to take the poles to us on his truck. I remember coming to Cooper's with my dad when I was super young! I only liked coming because they had chicks for sale inside. Cooper's still has amazing customer service and that awesome old school look and feel to it! read more

I brought a broken kitchen window to get the glass changed. I brought it last Thursday and I was told to leave the window and that someone would call me back with an estimate. No one called me, so on Friday I called to ask, and a young lady said "I'm sorry, the guy that does the glass work is not here, I'll have him call you back as soon as he gets back. Give us an hour". I waited for the call and nothing. I called Saturday and no one gave me an answer. Today, I went to to the store and asked to get my window back. A you g man walked me to the back and I had to search for my own window. I walked two blocks to Leo's glass, I dropped it off and two hours later they called me and had it ready. read more

I've been going to Cooper's for several years. They always have a good knowledgeable staff to help you out five the cashier in front by the name Vanessa . She has a horrible customer service has a nasty attitude. I don't even know how they hired this girl to work a customer service job as I was walking out. Another customer said I know how rude she can be but I just let it go. That's exactly what I did, but decided to do a post. This is a well supplied hardware store was truly knowledgeable employees. They are not the cheapest in the area but very good product and you get the correct information the first time to cut down on multiple trips to the hardware store. This one star isn't directed at the store but, at their employee i believe his name is Juan he said he's a plumber. We go in trying get the proper adapter for a gas line he's in a rush (we hadn't even taken a minute of his time) doesn't let my husband finish a sentence gave us the wrong adapter at first again he's in a rush saying there's more customers as if we weren't important we told him he was rude because he was. Other employees heard and saw front clerk was apologetic about him. The reason we go to Coopers is to get more personal attention and avoid big hardware stores with how we were treated thanks to this individual we will think twice about going. And thanks to jerks like this companies loose customers they've had for years. read more

If you are lucky enough to be helped by Juan, he will suggest the things you need that you didn't know you need -- and brace yourself for an extra dose of lighthearted entertainment and a funny way to look at things. Well I have to say this really is the place to go when you need unique help on what ever DIY project your doing. My dad has been coming here for as long as I can remember when I was little and I finally had to take on a project solo. They were amazing at helping explain what I need to do when I came to a set back in my project. There was no attempt to over sell a product, just straight forward "here's what you gotta do" type of advice. So pleased they are still in business and so helpful as always. read more

They have a wide selection of screws, nuts and bolts. Way more selection than Home Depot or Lowes. If you can't find it at the big box store you can usually find it at Coopers Hardware. I've heard their prices on equestrian supplies are good -- I don't have a horse so I wouldn't know. Some of their other hardware items tend to be on the pricer side versus what you might pay at the bigger box stores. Still I try to support Coopers when I can because I want them to stay in business and my kids like going to check out the baby chickens, ducks, etc that they sell (note: they aren't always in stock). read more

Perfect if you need some glass. I had a broken window and came in and ordered the size I needed it was sweet simple and fast. Very convenient because I was having a very hard time finding a place to get glass but luckily my bf reminded me about his place. It was a little less then $40 so price was great! Service was polite and friendly only thing was they said it would be done at the end of the day so I called and they said that they would call me back because I guess the guy was out doing a delivery and I never got a call back.... then called later to pick it up and they said the glass shop was closed so I had to wait the next day to pick up my glass. We've been getting our chicken feed here since I was a little girl. In the past, we have gotten chicks that have grown into beautiful chickens. I took a wood frame to them. I wanted 1/4" mirror they talked me into 3/16" mirror. It is a fun house mirror. It has a ripple effect. Looks very bad. Watch out they will screw you. In my opinion. They lost me and my family's business. He tried to blame the wood frame, wood doesn't give. I've been going there my whole life. They promised it the next day. I doubt l didn't get it for 3 weeks. Avoid this place at all cost. This place has no experience or care for providing quality customer service at all. I entered and asked the young girl at the front desk for help with some bolts and she gave me attitude pointing to the back saying "if I were you I I would go to the two guys in the back." Well the two guys in the back were way worse than her attitude. I had politely asked for grade 8 bolts and I was given grade 10. I had clearly asked for a specific type of bolt and I was given a different grade because "it was better." I don't understand why they couldn't follow clear instructions. I left shortly after they insulted my knowledge saying I don't know my bolts and what's stronger/better. read more
