I have to share my recent five star experience at Siggia. (And shame on all you one star raters who believe that you will actually receive better service at one of the big box stores. We all know that's simply not the case.) After making MULTIPLE trips to Home Depot, Lowes and Ace Hardware to source hinges for kitchen cabinets I was trying to repair, I had almost given up on finding the hardware I needed. At each of the stores, I went in with a sample and, after waiting for long periods of time at to get help, I was told BY THE HARDWARE DEPARTMENT reps "this one will work". Each time I would get home and find it didn't fit or that parts were missing from the package. I went to Siggia and John gave me great service and provided me with hinges that actually fit the cabinet I was repairing. Yes, I had to wait for a bit--but he actually knew what he was doing. And, by the way--yes, I had to buy screws. But it was not a big deal since Siggia was still cheaper for two hinges and a package of screws than it's competition. read more

All my life when I buy cabinet hinges they give me the screws with them. These guys send you out the door I'm at the job site no cabinet screws. I call him. Oh those are sold separately. Why was I not advised? Did I save any money by going there. No no I had to spend more because I had to drive around and go get screws on the opposite side of town. Thanks a lot guys. read more

Got all my hinges I needed soft-close everything all in one spot for less than Home Depot

If this place didn't make so many mistakes it would be a gem. I placed two orders for bathroom doors, nearly identical except for the style. Both times I brought in all six original doors. All we had to do was measure the doors and make new doors according to the measurements. First order with "Sales Guy 1" arrived as ordered, except that the Euro hinges he sold me were the wrong type. I'd already placed and paid in full the second order so i couldn't get a refund, just store credit. I thought they should have given me a refund for the difference (it was only $5) even though it was over 30 days, since it was their mistake. (They didn't ask me what type I needed, nor did I know there was a distinction.) Second order placed with "Sales Guy 2" was a complete debacle except that the Euro hinges were the right ones. On this order, it was 5% to use a credit card. When d.h. picked up the doors, they were tied in plastic ties and wrapped, and he didn't count or measure them against the measurements on my order. Days later we unwrapped and untied them and my painter was starting to paint them, we noticed there were only four doors on that second order. Where were the other two? I called in a panic, and the lady found the two missing doors and said "You can pick them up; sorry for the CONFUSION." I made a special trip to pick them up, as well as buy screws for the hinges. (Screws were not included with the hardware.) It gets worse. Painter painted all the 12 doors before they were installed. Contractor then began installing them but discovered that in Bathroom 2, two of the doors overlapped! I begged him to deal with Siggia! He went back to the store, looked up my measurements, and said they were identical to his measurements. What happened? All they had to do was make the doors the exact size as the doors I brought. The first order was right, why wasn't the second order?! Contractor ordered two correct doors (hopefully at their cost). When he picked them up 10 days later, they had the nerve to charge me $16 more! After some discussion, he begrudgingly paid it. They wouldn't bend or accept any responsibility for any of the aforementioned mistakes. When he raised the "mistakes" issues, the lady said they don't (like to) deal with consumers; they deal with contractors. After he left, he realized they forgot to drill the holes, so he had to go back to my house, pick up the old mis-measured doors and take them back to Siggia to drill the holes. Yet another costly delay. Recap on screw-ups: FIRST ORDER: Wrong Euro hinges SECOND ORDER: 5% for credit card ($5 freight charge on one of the orders) Two missing doors Doors not made according to measurements Additional $16 charge due no drilled holes on two corrected doors Blame customer: "We only like to deal with contractors," "We don't make the doors, an outside company does; It was their fault"; "We don't make a profit on the doors" After all of this, the doors look good. Bathroom 2 is different in that four of the doors abut up to each other. I now know that the measurements on Order 2 were designated as "OPENING measurements" not DOOR measurements, which is why all of the doors were a little oversized--bigger than my measurements, bigger than the doors I brought in as templates, bigger than what was written down on the order that I initialed. I left a voicemail message with the owner after the first screw-up but he never returned my call. read more

These guys have the product but don't expect great customer service as a retail customer. They are unflinching, unhelpful and rude if you need to return or exchange a product without a receipt. They seem to be extremely disorganized and unable and /or unwilling to track down or help find a lost invoice. There was more time mocking and insulting than helping. I just hope the owner is aware of his employees behavior. Don't forget the little guys Saggia, they helped get you where you are today. read more

Been shopping here since the late 80s. They are beyond friendly, accommodating, and most important: knowledgeable. There is literally nowhere else you can go and get all your questions answered like you can here. What hinge to use on a 1" thick door with a 3/4" overlay? I don't know but they do. Which drawer slide to use so the heavy contents of of the drawer don't drop on my foot? Again, I don't know but they do. And if they don't have it they know who does or even better, they'll order it for you. read more

The service was great and the person who helped me was courteous and very helpful. This place is awesome and carries many items I will be back for my hardware needs in the future. Great service oriented store. I was looking to fix some hinges and once I figured out that what hinges I needed (Blum) a quick search showed a couple local places that had them. My message to Siggia was answered promptly by the owner, Michael, and after a couple of back and forth Q & A's my wife whent and picked up the needed parts. Now we only needed 20 replacement hinges which was a sale of less than $40. What impressed me the most was that a lot of specialty stores will blow you off unless you're talking a large order but not Siggia. Glad I didn't bow into ordering online as I found a gem of a local business that I will look to patronize the next time I have a project. read more

These people are rude, grumpy, and just disgruntled. Non of them are pleasant to work with. I've been there a few times for parts for my clients and was given the wrong things two times.They never make mistakes tho. Ask them, they'll tell you. This establishment needs a good dose of estrogen and some basic dog training. I'll never go back. read more

One of the few local pro cabinet suppliers still around. They have top of the line quality hardware and supplies for the professional cabinet maker, but also sell to the general public too. They know their business which is why they've been around and in the same location for years and which is why those of us that know what we want and who need these specialty supplies today (without waiting for shipping) are thankful that they are here for us! ..in spite of the outrageous costs of inflation for companies like this to stay in business. Awesome hardware store! Super wonderful and helpful team. Heidi answered the phone it was close to closing time and I was in a time crunch coming all the way from Malibu, I was totally lost and she patiently gave me directions step by step, she's the nicest phone person I HAVE EVER SPOKEN TO! I had extremely hard to find hardware and had been to three different hardware stores already! But Siggia had it! In fact , Cesar was so nice he saw me frantically pull up in my car and kept the big warehouse doors open for me! Then I dragged in my broken high end drawer and they were so nice! Gary totally knew what hardware the drawer needed and Siggia had it in stock!!!!!! To make it even better....Gary fixed the drawer for me with my new hardware from Siggia. I even purchased more than the two sets of brackets if needed, I purchased eight! This experience saved my drawers and made my day! read more
