Horrible customer service. They're the reason the Seinfeld episode exists. After being a customer for two years I've been wanting to leave but tolerated the bad attitudes purely for convenience. Went today for a simple regular manicure (if you don't get gels or regular pedicures they basically don't have time for you because you aren't spending enough money there). I didn't like the way the technician put the polish on which has been happening regularly there when I haven't gone for a gel manicure. The polish was old and yellowish for Ballet Slippers. I asked could they change it (they weren't busy) and I said I would pay extra for it. I was then berated by the owner about why I needed to change the color. She said 5.00 extra. I said well I just paid for the manicure I'll need to go get more cash out. She then said 'you don't have 5.00'. Then her yenta customer decided to get involved telling me she didn't like the way I was talking to her 'friend'. She then said maybe you shouldn't get manicures if you can't afford them clearly not understanding the conversation. A very dumb woman. I then said 'why are you in this conversation'. It was a disgusting display of one woman not minding her own business. I actually cried that's how hostile an environment this was. It's a shame sometimes they do good work and sometimes they don't. But I'm not spending money at a place that doesn't do consistent work and neither should any consumer. Call me crazy but if a merchant is delivering poor work for a paying customer they should probably fix it and not question it. Here's a news flash, not everyone wants a gel, buy some new polish instead of using disgusting old jars and run a business by being kind. $40.00 for regular Mani/Pedi. I saw others getting a mini neck and shoulder massage. It did not happen for me. Signs are post all over the salon "Please do not use your cell phone" There were only 2 other customers and me. I mention that they were both on the phone. No one addressed the issue or the issue when one of customers became belligerent towards. Sanitation issues are questionable, especially with COVID-19 guidelines. No hand washing before starting a service. All the tools are mashed together into one basket in the sanitizing. A makeshift barrier between me and another customer was knocked over and fell me. None of the staff acknowledged the incident. Very disappointed, I had tried just a mani first to check the place out. Seemed to be a place I would feel relaxed and safe in. Superb service and attentiveness. The shop is also super-clean and organized. All of the operators including the owner are accommodating and helpful with nail design suggestions. There are numerous polishing types and colors to select from. You can have a regular manicure with Esse and OPI colors to various long lasting, gel and powder applications. I would not recommend this salon as my experience was awful. The people here are very rude and do not respect their customers. I had a terrible experience where I was basically rushed out and the same thing happened to my very good friend. Getting your nails done should be relaxing and this was anything but that. I agree with Susan- their sanitation seemed a bit old-school. Meaning the tools were in barbicide solution but the files and buffers seemed to be communal. I think if you're a regular they can keep a set for you aside, but I'm not. So I am pretty sure myself and the Jersey-haired mom next to me were sharing. $10 for a manicure and I was able to get an appointment pretty fast, so those are the pluses. My 90 year old friend called and asked me if I could take her to get a manicure and pedicure. She found Soho nails so I took her over. I dropped her off and went back for her when she was done. After we got half way home she told me they charged her $145.00. I was shocked. Horrified. I've been getting a mani/pedi every other week for over 30 years & never heard of such a high price for this service. The next day I called the shop and asked how much a full set and pedicure was. They said $80 & $25. But they charged her $20 extra for the pedicure because she wanted the bottom of her feet scrubbed. Isn't that part of a pedicure??? WTF! Well, that's $125 total. The math still doesn't add up to $145. Stay away!! There are too many other places close by that don't charge this much money. And it's not the cleanest nail salon Ive been in either . If you're smart, go to Montclair or Bloomfield center 4 miles down the road, they charge $60 for a full set & $45 for a fill-in. And a straight $25 for a fabulous pedicure. read more

I've been here several times. As others have said, It is a little pricey, but is definitely cheaper than some other places I've been to. They do a good job. I'm generally happy with how my nails turn out, but it really depends on who you see. As someone else mentioned their sanitation practices are a bit suspect. There are multiple machines around to sanitize the tools, but I've never seen them put anything in, or take anything out of those machines. And it does seem like they reuse files and buffs. They have some sort of rewards program, but won't say a word about it unless you ask. Like I said, I've been there several times, and they've never said anything about it to me. However, I've heard other women giving their account number when ringing out to accumulate points. Finally, they once cut my nail bed pretty badly, and didn't do anything about it. It was bleeding forever, and you could tell the nail tech was a little panicked. I expected them to give me a discount or something, but they just pretended nothing ever happened. read more

I have been here a few times, but yesterday I went for their new OPI gel lacquer that I saw on a friend. I love it. It was $35 which I thought was a tad pricey but it looks very pretty and its supposed to last two weeks or more. I am hoping it lasts three weeks. They didn't have that many colors to choose from :( but I am happy with the final product. It looks a little thicker than regular polish, but very shiny. I just wish they carried all of the colors, but I know is an expensive product to carry. read more

I have never gotten my nails done here, but it seems to be a popular place it was very busy when I went in. I actually got my eyebrows waxed and this is the nicest my brows have ever looked. This is pretty much the only place I will get a manicure. I've been coming here for years. I am not a manicure-all-the-time kinda gal, but I like having pretty feet and nails and they do a good job. I don't think $10 is too much for a manicure. If you go Mon-Wed. you can get the $25 mani-pedi combo, which is a steal. Also, they do a great eyebrow wax. read more

I usually don't write many reviews but my experience here deserves one. I came to Soho the day before my 4-day-long school trip. I had called in for my appointment, so they took me right in. Very nice people, nothing wrong with the staff. They used a really weird handheld UV light for my gel manicure. I paid 35 dollars. It looked great!... until the next day, when I took my first shower on the trip... it all peeled off. It literally didn't last a day. 35 dollars down the freakin' hole! read more

yes, im a guy and i went here. i get my feet done once in a blue moon because of my job. this place sucks! they charge you $30 for nothing. how are mens pedicures different from women? the pedi was maybe 15 minutes long. they also charge an extra $10 for a callus remover ...so if i got that my pedicure would of been $40! its cheaper in nyc...also on another note the staff doesn't speak any english. nail cafe in little falls is $20 and they give u an hour pedi...its the best. ill skip soho nails, rip off. read more
