Have been going there for years. After this last time I will not be back. Walk in for a pedicure at 10am waiting 45 mins plus. they took three people before me. When I asked the lady if I was ever going to go she said they all had appointment. Which I totally get and respect if you have an appointment you should go first. Soooo I came here for the first time and the owner Kim was incredible... took me right away for a new set. It was nice cause I had had a bad experience with the old place I went too.. not only did she do an incredible job, but I can really appreciate when a place respects appointments. I recently moved out of the area, pretty far actually, and still come here. I tried other places, where I live now, and terrible. Both places I tried in between, were cheaper, but my nails didn't last. I could tell right away that the were done incorrectly. I don't give bad reviews to other places. I know that hurts businesses, what I will do, is say in this positive review that I have tried to go to other salons in the new area I moved, and always manage to return after a bad experience elsewhere. I went here a few times and have enjoyed it. I've gone to Christina 2 times prior to my last time. The first time I liked my nails. The second time, two of my nails were crooked. So I went back and asked her to fix them since I was going on vacation. She "fixed" it in a minute by just filing the one part of the nail which did nothing. So I went back to get my nails refilled a few weeks later which would have been my third time with Christina and she was beyond rude and nasty. I showed her my nail idea and color I wanted. Then I politely asked if she could make sure the nails weren't crooked this time and showed her what I meant. She immediately denied that it was her fault and said it's my nail and that my nail is crooked. I said I understand that my finger is slightly crooked but I've never had an issue before and I've been getting my nails done for almost 10 years. Plus Christina did not make them crooked the first time she did my nails. She repeatedly said how it's my nail and that it grows that way. I kept assuring her I knew my finger was crooked but I don't understand why I never had an issue with my nail being crooked and it wasn't an issue the first time she did my nails. She said she didn't want to argue with me and I agreed. I said I wasn't arguing or wanting to argue I just wanted my nails not to be crooked that's it. She said she couldn't do that. I told her I never met a nail tech who said they couldn't do a simple request that a customer asked. Christina started getting very rude and kept saying she couldn't and wouldn't do that. So admittedly I was not in the best mood at this point and was very frustrated with her. Then she said she wouldn't do my nails and she stormed off. Thankfully Kim was very understanding and I explained what I meant. She fixed my nails perfectly just like I asked and my nails weren't crooked. She even said afterwards it was a simple fix and that I can go to her from now on. If it wasn't for Kim, I would not even think about entering nail cafe again. Christina is the only person who really does that designs. For someone whose main target is doing designs, I was not impressed at all and I wasn't thrilled with the designs each time she did it. I was planning to have a good time with my best friend. We don't hang out much so we were enjoying catching up. As we sit for our pedicures I greet the lady and she nods as if she doesn't understand. That's fine. We continued to talk and in the middle of the conversation between my friend and I, the lady doing her feet and the lady doing mine begin to speak on my talking, saying I'm annoying and that I talk too much. I was a nervous bride who does not live in the area and walked right in, in hopes they can take me. Not only were they able to they knew i was in a rush and helped me by painting my toes at the same time. I had to wait till the night before to get a manicure and pedicure and I'm not going to lie I honestly would drive from brooklyn to get my nails done here. They did extensions on all my nails and a french. It didn't look awful like when other nail salons don't buff it down and they look cheap and like a gel bump in your nails. This is my newest and favorite nail salon... I used to go to a place in Clifton, but since I discovered this little gem, I won't go to any other place. Ladies - we all know there are a million places to get your mani/pedi looking nice and fresh, so what exactly does it take to stand out? For me, if my polish looks good and clean for over a week, that's the true test. They pass. Regular pedicure is euphoric. I have fallen asleep in the process... these girls work some serious magic with their hands. So, so relaxing. Polish stays good for a month. Your feet are comparable to a baby's. 25 dollars for mani/pedi combo. Can't beat that. Gel manicure lasts for 10 days on me. Love that they offer both Shellac and OPI. Regular polishes include Essie and OPI with plenty of variety. Can not wait to go back, oh my gosh, I just love it here. Send your man across the street to the bar, it might be a while because the place gets *packed* from 3:30-close. Weekends are a nightmare. Only downgrading to 4 stars because they 100% need more staff... the 15 or so employees are all very talented and efficient, but I have waited for a half hour if not more to just get seated in a chair.. it's worth the wait, but yeah, can be a little aggrivating. read more

It's actually 2.5 I would say. I think it's overrated really. It is Korean owned; very clean and spacious. I came here twice. The first time was better but not 4-5star worthy. I must say the pedicure was awesome both times. It comes with hot stone message and heated gel for the heels that made my feet oh-so-smooth afterwards. The manicure was just standard. The total came out to be $25 for mani/pedi which is pretty good. However, my manicure on my visit was smudged 5 mins after leaving the salon. I sat at the drying station for at least 10 mins. I think the difference was that it was done by the Spanish lady. Don't get me wrong, she did an awesome job on my pedi but I would have waited to have my mani done by one of the Korean ladies but they didn't even offer me the option. Awesome Place, I had been here before many many years ago and recall it being a great place. I went Sunday morning for a gel manicure, regular pedicure and lip wax. I was a walk-in and there was no wait. The place was easy to get to, has parking and is very spacious. The ladies were very helpful in recommending a color based on what I wanted ( a nude/ neutral color) The gel mani was first and the best part was the filing; it was very light I was thrilled because past places file to much causing soreness and this place was the opposite. Her tools and process were most efficient; they also have a great selection of quality and well known brands of polish. The wax was done in a separate room and was quick not to much extra plucking. My pedicure was okay... She got a bit carried away with the dead skin and made my toe bleed. ( on the one hand I was happy that she was ting the time to make it perfect but she did go a bit to far) I would absolutely go back and I am very pleased with the service and the outcome. read more

I've been here a few times however this place never became my go-to nail salon. This past weekend I went to get a gel manicure and regular pedicure before a holiday party. (They are open on Sundays which is why I ended up here BTW). I got here about 15 mins after opening and they were already very busy. I had to wait about 5-10 minutes for my pedicure however it was worth it because the girl did a great job. She took her time, amazing massage and did a good job with the callus remover. My gel manicure however was HORRIBLE. The lady doing my nails did not speak much English and when trying to explain to her I wanted my ring finger with a gold glitter color, she came back with a clear glitter. I explained I wanted it all glitter no color underneath however she just kept saying "ok ok". After much frustration I said to do it all with the red color I had chosen. Also along this process some of my nails were round in shape, others were square. She said this was due to my nails being short, however I can assure you they were not that short and I have friends who cut there nails much shorter. At the last moment I asked her to add some of the clear glitter to my ring finger, however it looked horrible & I told her that right away that I didn't like it & she still decided to charge me. Overall for an overpriced ($35 for gel) bad experience, I have learned my lesson and I will not be going back here. Oh also, I went to my regular nails salon (Blooming Nails in Totowa NJ) on Monday and they fixed my nails to be all square in shape and also fixed my ring finger and did not charge. I came here to get a pedicure and get my nails painted. The pedicure was pretty decent and have no complaints for that. But I had asked just for a polish done on my nails and instead they gave me a manicure, but didn't soak my nails, etc. they only filed a small amount and the lady dig into my cuticles and made cuts on multiple of my fingers and I ended up bleeding for about 20 minutes after I left the salon. The decor and atmosphere of this place is pretty nice, as are the massage chairs for pedicures. However, if you have acrylic nails or tips, do NOT go to this nail salon. I came in asking to get my tips removed, and rather than using the standard procedure of soaking the nail first, then gently scraping/buffing off the acrylic, the manicurist literally just ripped the acrylic from my fingernails dry. It was extremely painful, and left my nails looking horrible and feeling weak. If all you want is a mani/pedi or a massage, then by all means go here. I get a manicure/pedicure maybe 1-2 times a year at the same place and decided to try here instead as a recommendation from a family member. Parking was a bit of an issue, but found a spot on a side street. Usually pedicures make me ticklish and painful, but this one did not! It was really thorough, especially for the price. Very relaxing as well. The massage chairs (my favorite part) worked extremely well. My manicure was thorough as well. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because I felt a bit of attitude from the employees. I asked to have my manicure first and was told no (language barrier maybe?) and of course it was smudged on my way out. This is partially my fault for rushing out, but it wouldn't have happened if I got it first like I asked. I was also told no about paying before my manicure, but as I later learned they told me to pay before the polish was put on. Still, no need for the curt response. I decided to get a fill-in here after always being pleased with the pedicures they had done for me the few times I went. While their pedicures are great, the manicure I received was quite honestly the worst I've had. The woman who took me was rude, harshly tugging my arms more forward on the table when she could already reach them just fine. She rushed like she couldn't wait to get me out of there and $70 later, I was left with nails filed at all different angles and lengths. Some even dipped on top with a "U" shape, which was absolutely ridiculous. For that much money, I shouldn't have to go home and fix them yet again. I went into Nail Cafe for a basic pedicure and was out in less than an hour, including dry time, feeling completely relaxed with pretty toes, all for $20. This includes a delicious paraffin heel soak while your toes get painted. It was an early weekday afternoon so don't know how busy weekends are, but there is ample space. Have been here once before and liked it so I suggested it when my mom wanted to go for pedicures especially because they're only $20. However, today the statement "you get what you pay for" definitely came into play. I had a small crack on the side of my toe nail on my big toe, figured it wasn't an issue so didn't mention it. The woman doing my toes took it upon herself to file my toe nail all the way down past where the crack was so now it looks like I have no nail on my big toe. The rest are crooked and ones bleeding. Hands down the worst salon I've been too. I asked for gel tips which at the salons i go to are usually 65$ at most they charged me 85$!!! I used to love this place! I loved the price, and what they did. Until I went to get my nails done for my college graduation. One nail tech walked by and said something about me in Korean, I found this out when the tech working on my nails dropped my hands stared at me, POINTED, and responded back to her in Korean. Then talked some more and when back to my nails. I tried to assume it was about my polish since I've only done pedicures there. Especially since the first tech had a similar color in her hands at the time. Either way I found that pretty insulting and I won't be back. Off to search for another place to go! I tried this nail salon for the first time today after reading all the great reviews on here. I am glad I trusted the things the other reviewers were saying- this place is really great! I went for the Special Pedicure and had a treatment done to my feet to help remove the dry skin. I was really impressed by the woman that did my pedicure and the dry skin treatment worked really well. I also got a manicure that looks great too. The only downside is that customers cannot add a tip when paying with a credit card, so I had to leave the salon when my nails dried and go find an ATM. It was worth it- the woman did such a great job with my manicure and pedicure and was very nice, so I had to give her a nice tip.
