Last night, as my girlfriend and I were walking past the above Soho kiosk, 2 employees (1 fat and 1 petite, one of whose name is Chelsey) mocked me and my hair. I had a sloppy bun secured by a rubber band. "I like what you did with your hair" is what they called out to me 12 ft. away. I turned around and said that we understand English and we are local (of Asian descent). They continued to giggle and mock us. My friend commented that they must think we are foreigners. We kept walking. This morning I called the kiosk and the girl who answered, Chelsey, admitted that she was one of the girls who mocked us last night. I asked her about their behavior and she said that they like to have fun. I told her that they could have used the opportunity to try to sell me their products. They are representing the Soho company by wearing Soho hairpieces and barrettes while mocking people. This is totally unacceptable! Also, the fact that they had no regard or respect for our age; we are in our young 40s and they are young 20's. I find this some what disturbing that people would just laugh at people like that. I called the kiosk hoping to reach an owner or manager but Chelsey answered. The whole time I was speaking to Chelsey on the phone, I could tell she was smiling and chucking so her apology to me was worthless. I would like the owner to review this matter and educate the employees on the inappropriateness of their behavior and how it can affect business. I emailed the corporation (this is a franchise) and the owner, Christy. The only reason I gave them one star is to write this comment. They deserve zero stars! read more
