It was bagged nicely and well organized. The omelette was a generous sized portion with plenty of tender chicken, peppers, and cheese. There was salsa to add a bit of flavor, but it tasted that it was made in New York City (if you remember that commercial ;) ). The white toast was soft and buttery, and the potatoes were good. My mom enjoyed the banana pecan waffles, and I took a couple bites as well. It was sinfully sweet and enjoyable, especially the bananas. And I must say the coffee was so good, it was even better than the Juan Valdez coffee that I make at home. Since I didn't visit the restaurant, I can't comment on the atmosphere. But I believe the service is excellent because they nicely packed all items and kept it organized. I definitely need to take my family to this restaurant. Since the one in Metrowest closed, this is the closest one to us. I am glad the food is still excellent and the coffee keeps you peppy. This is definitely a great breakfast restaurant in the Dr. Phillips area. Overall: A

What I appreciated most was the flexibility of the menu. There were both sweet and savory brunch options, while the lunch menu was also available. With children, that made a huge difference because no one had to "skip" a meal or feel forced into having breakfast simply because we were dining during brunch hours. The food was a bit of a mixed experience for me personally. The braised greens/kale had an interesting sweet and fermented flavor combination that I'm still deciding how I feel about. The sweet potato mash, topped with a layer of marshmallows, was tasty and definitely a great choice for someone who enjoys sweeter sides. The brined fried chicken was cooked well, but I was a little disappointed that the dark meat was boneless. That is simply a personal preference, as I tend to associate boneless fried chicken more with a chicken tender experience. Overall, the chicken was good, although it wasn't the standout of the meal for me. The kids really enjoyed their selections, including the French toast, Grand-Daddy Plate, and chicken and waffles. My 12-year-old initially ordered a sandwich that didn't quite meet his palate expectations. Within just a few minutes of all of our entrées arriving, a manager came by the table to check on us. Because of her attentiveness and due diligence, we were able to explain the issue and have his meal replaced with chicken and waffles without making the situation feel uncomfortable or difficult. That level of service was greatly appreciated. Jill was also wonderful throughout our visit. She was attentive, patient, personable, and exuded an overall great personality. We chose outdoor seating after the rain had passed, and it ended up being perfect. We were able to enjoy the fresh air, relax, people-watch, and take in the Disney Springs atmosphere while dining. Overall, the variety, flexibility, and service were the highlights of our experience. Even though not every dish was necessarily a personal favorite, the team made the experience enjoyable, accommodating, and memorable for our family.

It is a family owned restaurant founded by New York natives who noticed a gap in Central Florida for high quality, authentic New York style diner food. The original location opened on Universal Boulevard in the Lake Cay area, near Universal Orlando and SeaWorld. The restaurant quickly became popular with both locals and vacationers looking for an alternative to the standard hotel breakfast buffet. Following the success of the Universal Boulevard location, the owners expanded to additional Central Florida locations, including Lake Buena Vista and Dr. Phillips. The Diner has gained attention for its creative twists on classic comfort food. One of its signature dishes is the Bennyffle a combination of Eggs Benedict served over a waffle. The menu also features specialty cereal pancakes, including Fruity Pebbles and Oreo Crunch, along with classics such as chicken and waffles. In July 2026, the Universal Boulevard location even became the center of a viral national news story after a family of seven including children reportedly walked out on a $298.47 breakfast bill. The story highlighted how hard family businesses work and how an incident like this can affect them. I recently met up with a group of friends at The Diner for brunch. The Diner can get crowded, and they do not take reservations. I am grateful that one of my friends arrived very early to wait for a table for our group. The diner offers a selection of coffee drinks as well as alcoholic beverages, making it a festive spot for brunch. Since I had a long day ahead, I stuck with coffee and ordered the signature chicken and waffles. The combination was delicious. The crispy, savory fried chicken was the perfect partner to the soft, buttery waffles, while the warm, sweet maple syrup contrasted to the salty chicken. It was a very large portion and I really enjoyed my meal. The service was excellent, and the staff were very accommodating when we needed several separate checks. I loved my visit to The Diner, and the experience was made even better by sharing brunch with a great group of friends. Good food, friendly service, and even better company made for a memorable morning.

The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

We arrived to a long line to order, but the line moved quickly, and the food came out very quickly. At the same time, there was no push for us to clear out quickly, so we were able to relax to enjoy our breakfast. I had the eggstreme biscuits with chicken tenders added on. The biscuits were fluffy despite being drenched in the spicy sausage gravy and topped with two eggs (I went with easy over). The chicken tenders were juicy and yet stayed crispy in the gravy. My meal was huge, and I shouldn't have finished it, but I couldn't help myself. It was that good. I also had a cold brew, which was delicious, especially when made up with the maple sweetener and a splash of cream. My kids enjoyed their kids meals, and my husband enjoyed his chicken biscuit and half waffle. I'll happily return the next time I'm in the area and wanting a breakfast outside of my resort.

The biggest problem with this location is the small parking lot. It can get very busy on a weekend morning. But the staff is friendly and usually quite efficient once you find a parking spot. I really like the food here. The very first thing I ever ate here was the farmer and it has always been my go to. It is a biscuit with fried chicken cheese, bacon, and apple butter. I love the sweet, salty, and savory altogether. The five and Dime is another hit and I think their signature sandwich. It is like the farmer but instead of apple butter it has gravy and it also has an egg. They also have some pretty good waffles, which is what I get for my kid when I take him here. Their tea and coffee selection is robust. The only downside is that as they have gotten bigger and they have lost some of their personal touches. They used to ask me funny questions and would use that to help find you to give you your order. They might ask who your favorite superhero was and call you that way. Now they just give you a number like everywhere else. The other downside is the price is on the high side and seems to have increased more as of late. Food is really good though.
