Fast service good food plenty of outdoor seating on a patio area so you don't feel like you're sitting in the parking lot.

Wonderful customer service and wonderful food. Have ordered for my family of 6 they were so aware my hands were full and helping carry out food. Their professionalism while handling other customers and still keeping composure and friendliness, is something to cherish about this staff read more

Of all the places I've tried in Orlando, Sofrito is the ONLY one I come back to every time I vacation! Their food is phenomenal. My personal favorite is the Cachapa with shredded beef. It is a sweet corn pancake stuffed with handmade cheese and optional pork or beef. It is unique and extremely flavorful - sweet & savory but not spicy. I always get a side of the sweet fried plantains. I've never had better even during my many months of travel in Peru. The pollo a la brasa is also very good. My husband tried the Churrasco and loved it. Our favorite sides include the red beans, yellow rice, and yucca. The Nutella empanadas are a MUST HAVE!!! Their service is fast and friendly and the dining room is always pristine. read more

Placed a order online said it would be ready for pickup in a hour. I called they said 20 mins. Got there and 30 mins just in case. Said another 10 mins. It was only $40 worth of finger foods not even entrees. And you feel forced to tip online before you can even see if everything was okay. I got home missing 2 chicken empanadas and my tequenos were squashed. Called them told them , said she had to find the manager. She said couldn't find the manger. A guy came in the phone and said he could deliver it to my house. I said no just refund it. I don't need to wait another 40 mins for them to bring empanadas to my house. But of course couldn't do a refund because there no manager. I said can I call back later she said. In 3 hours. Why all this work for food I didn't enjoy. Updated.... of course received a phone call right after review. Said they would refund me. Lol only 5.86 was refund. How about the tip I left you don't deserve and the uneatable tequenos??? Posted a picture of the refund. Updated again. what a generic copy paste response I got from The Latin cafe. Hello what about my refund , guess I go dispute it. read more

We we're invited to this restaurant because it's supposed to be good. The food is delicious...when you get it. We were the first to order, but had to ask about our order when everyone else was served but us. They also missed part of the order and we ended up taking it go. I do recommend the restaurant, but keep on top of them so they won't forget to bring it out. read more

I had high expectations of this place. The food was just ok, the service wasn't good. Nobody told us to get out silverware, water before sitting down. I wouldn't have minded. I had a ham and cheese arepa, nothing spectacular. We also had pan de bono and croquetas de jamon, those were ok. We are not from the area, so not going back there. Otherwise, I would have maybe given it one more try. read more

Great food. It's an "order then sit" place but well worth it. I'd definitely go again. Very authentic style food with authentic taste just like mom made. read more

Happy Monday everyone! Ok so I was really excited when I walked in to this location with all the options I saw in the menu. First, let me say the staff is friendly, the location is in a tourist area , and it's very nice place with good prices ! But as my time pass here they did take a little bit to bring out our order for a place that had more employees then customers. When our food started to come the best thing we had was the Cuban chicken empanada and the yuca frita with garlic sauce . On top of the delay my order was wrong . As I always say this is my opinion and it's not to alter yours. Still give the place a try it's my duty is to be honest with my reviews . I don't do it for following. It's a 3 star for me. Second time eating at Sofritos. We ordered our food for pickup. After we arrived, we still had to wait another 10 min for our order to be ready. Therefore the honest answer is that they do take a little long on food preparation. The food itself was good. My husband ordered a Tripleta and I ordered a Patacon. We both had a Café con leche to drink. The coffee was excellent, so for sure get some of that! The Tripleta was tasty, although it was pretty light on the roast pork. Being from Puerto Rico, I would expect the Tripleta to be a heartier sandwich. The Patacon is a sandwich with fried plantain instead of bread. I had it with the roast pork, and I really did enjoy it. I guess it was good that the Tripleta was not as heavy as we expected since I made my husband eat half of my Patacon. The only draw back to the Patacon is that the plantain does get a bit soggy. It's the nature of the beast, but be careful if you order it Togo, you have to eat it pretty soon after its made. Overall we enjoyed our lunch and will be back again. read more

What a great place - great food, excellent service and even great beer on tap. In the land of chain restaurants like Orlando, I would classify this as a hidden gem. PS Don't be intimidated by the authentic ethnicity (i.e., if you don't speak Spanish), the staff are extremely polite, friendly and bilingual! read more

Sofrito is has an inviting setting and atmosphere. As you walk into the restaurant you are quickly greeted by a very friendly hostess. You are given a menu and asked to choose your own seat. You may dine inside or outside. I decided to stay indoors. The atmosphere is quiet, quaint and relaxing. My husband ordered the cubano and I ordered the roast pork plate with sweet plantains. My dish we very yummy and very filling for only $9.00. My dish also came with white rice, black beans and a salad! Beer is served in a cold mug. If you're looking for good Cuban food you need to visit this place! read more

We were in Kissimmee for 5 days and we went three times. Excellent food! My son ordered the Cuban sandwich 3 times, he loved it so much. The food is excellent. I loved the Venezuelan empanadas and the seafood soup. They have this garlic cilantro creamy sauce that is so good! Will come again when we are in the area. The food and service was amazing! Highly recommended. Really good Cuban and Venezuelan food.

Great porch area. We did a variety of small plates, a meal, and desserts and all were great. Lots of goodies. Would definitely return!

This place was amazing! My wife and I are in town for Disney, and we wanted to try something local. This place did not let us down! I had the Churrasco Steak which had great flavor and was a massive portion of meat. Not to mention the 3 sides and salad. My wife had the Cachapa with pork. The pork was juicy, tender and flavorful! It was extremely cheesy, and the sweet corn pancake was perfect way to wrap it al up! We finished our meal with the Coxonut Flan which was a perfect creamy sweet treat! If I lived in this area I would here weekly! Support small business and give this place a try you will not regret it! read more

Okay... so I came back and gave this place another try. I came back with my mother and she was more disappointed with the everything including me for bringing her here. I don't understand the whole concept of this restaurant. They have mixed Hispanic food. The menus are not in Spanish. They make you order at the register, and they give you a number and you choose the table. When it comes to the food it seems like it's already prepared since the food came out so quickly. Food was not season and it seemed highly priced. Since the service isn't all that... ohh and if you will like to order another coke or drink you have to get back up go online and order at the register. The Venezuelan cheese empanada is good If you are a tourist and you want really good food go to pal campo (down the road) or Camilas (buffet style all you can eat) I won't be coming back read more

Some incredible Latin flavors are served with a side of miss-management at this unique and affordable eatery. It's really a tragic and sad story of a restaurant with so much potential. But they are failing. Most of the food we ordered at Sofrito was incredible--with just a couple of miss-steps, namely dry and slightly tough boiled yuca and a piece of chicken breast that was not cooked to my wife's liking. Their Churrasco Steak and Roast Pork are spectacular, served with a surprisingly tasty salad with a tropical flair, and wonderfully savory black beans. We enjoyed the Cuban and Colombian empanadas as well, fresh and flavorful. After more than five visits at various days of the week over the past year or so, the real question is why has management continued to allow service to be slow and inattentive. If you need a refill or anything else after you order, prepare to ask multiple times. Need a drink or water refill? You might as well decide to get it yourself, or it might never happen even after asking like a broken record. Our most recent visit to Sofrito was during a slower period of the day, an early bird dinner or late lunch, around 3:30p. More than five tables around us were dirty with used plates piled in an unsightly mess, most remaining on tables even after we ate and got up to leave. I even spotted one dirty table in the outdoor dining area that must have been there since midday. To me this is an indication of poor management and employees who could care less--training and leadership must be lacking otherwise the tables would be spotless almost immediately after customers finish their meals. Instead the very few staff we did see in the dining room were more interested in socializing with each other rather than serving the dozen or so customers in the dining area. If you choose to visit I suggest withholding a tip untill after your meal, since their ordering system requires payment before being served and the computer asks you for a tip when paying. You can say no tip and provide cash later but I felt guilty doing so every time, later regretting it after experiencing terrible service. I really want to love Sofrito. I recognize at least someone in the kitchen has passion and pride in the food they serve--I really can taste. But as a hospitality business they leave a lot to be desired when it comes to serving their customers. read more

I loved this place so much! I hate that I don't live in Orlando now because I would eat here every week at least. The food was outstanding and the quality was perfect. This was one of my husband's and I favorite place to eat while we were on vacation in Orlando, Florida. We came here on New Years Eve. You order first, take your number, get seated and the food will be brought to you. The guy who took our order was friendly and helpful. For food, we started out with 2 empanadas. A Cuban chicken empanada and a Colombian empanada. They were both very delicious but we liked more the Colombian empanada. For our main courses, my husband ordered the Churrassco with a side of yellow rice, black beans, and these little fried potatoes with green sauce on top. The meat was tender and the green sauce on top of the potatoes kind of tasted like pesto. I ordered the pollo a la plancha with a side of yellow rice, black beans, and French fries. Nothing special about the French fries but still good. The chicken was also tender and flavorful. Yellow rice was yummy. The black beans didn't taste like canned beans so that was a plus for me. Great food and service. If we ever go back to Florida, we are defiantly coming back here! read more

Good place to eat but I noticed a few dingies. I waited for my order for about 15 minutes before I realized she had only charged me for a coke. I went back to reorder and when I got back my table it was clean. My order number, my drink all gone. Did I leave?? My order came in and he placed on my table, thank you and left. You have to ask "can I get you anything else? Is this ok?" So I had to get up and ask for napkins and utensils. Little crap like that that can make you loose a customer. Not to mention high volume pit bull music. Dang.. In the end I ordered a medianoche (Cuban sandwich) and it was good. A little on the dry side but I finished it nevertheless. Will I come back? Definitely. I'm not asking for a coupon to make up for it. I just want Management to educate their staff to be more attentive and ask.... is this OK ? do you need anything else ? can I give you more water ? Etc read more

Anyone who knows the Disney Springs area knows the place is filled with your Disney/ Corporate family style restaurants. For the most part, they are nice. My friends and I, however, were getting tired of feeling gouged for your everyday, safe, corporate family style, menus. Based on the Yelp reviews, we decided to give Sofrito a try. As usually the case, the yelp reviewers came through. This place is fantastic. My friends and I could not make up our minds on what to have so we ordered a few plates and ate family style. You'll see several pictures of the cachapa. It is a must try. We tried it with the shredded beef, because we thought it needed meat, like everything else that we eat. We were wrong. While it was still good, with the shredded beef, it was totally unnecessary. We also had an collection of empanadas and one other (we dove in and forgot which dish we ate). I will admit the ambiance is a bit lacking so bring your iPhone packed with classical latin guitar music and you'll have a wonderful dining experience. read more

Another visit to Disney would not be complete without another visit to Sofrito Latin Cafe! We recommend the Lomo Saltado, Pollo a la Plancha, Roasted Pork, Churrasco, and of course the CACHAPAS!
