Yes! I visited this place and I loved everything I tasted. The empanadas were excellent along with the sauces that come with them. For my main dish I enjoyed the Lomo Saltado. It was absolutely perfect. This is a must visit for everyone. The staff is ultra friendly and attentive. The ONLY thing missing are margaritas!!! The only reason for not getting 5 stars from me. This restaurant is a newly, hidden gem. Upon first appearances, I was a tad skeptical. There were almost no diners. One of the wait staff members went to Burger King for his dinner. What was to be expected? Then we ordered our food. The waitresses were all welcomeing and let us know it was considered a fast-casual dining experience. We ordered the vegetarian meal with maduros and tostones. After a seemingly lengthy wait (considering we were the only diners), the food came out hot, fresh, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, DELICIOUS. Everything had a pleasant taste and reminded us of places in South Florida that offer similar fare. The one oddity to the establishment is the use of plastic ware considering how the food is brought out to the tables. The restaurant ambiance seemed like you'd be eating off of glassware, but I understood what is the point - save on dishwashers. Overall, the food is good. First timer. My wife and I decided to give Sofrito a try. I was not let down. I ordered the Churrasco with yuca which was seasoned in mojito garlic and some sweet plantines. It was delicious! Tried some empanada - they had a couple, but only tried the Venezuelan cheese empanada-loved it! They have a big selection and it's a mix of Latin food dishes. Dessert, had the coconut flan it was awesome tasting. Although the portion was a bit small and since it was soooo good left me wanting a little bit more. Definitely recommend this place if you're into Spanish/Latin food. read more

Honestly, not a fan. I am Latin and have had cuisine from different Latin countries but the food here just seems mediocre. Not as flavorful as I am used to from eating in Latin restaurants. Empanada was burnt and hard as rock. Our avocado toast had barely any avocado on it and the arepa tasted like it was raw. I know the food must be good by the wait time but our experience was unacceptable. I called to have our food replaced and they guy that answered the phone didn't care. Very disappointed with the turnaround at this establishment. This was one of my favorite restaurants to visit whenever I'm in Florida and I have visited this establishment multiple times. Their food was great. Their service was great. However I do not know what happened. I noticed the last three times I visited, the orders were not accurate, the wait time to place and receive your order is pretty long and even longer when there is only one person taking orders instead of two. No one enforces COVID CDC guidelines. Signs are up to have your mask on, but as I waited on line with my mask on, I've seen customers come in without their masks on. No one reminded them to put their mask on or give them a mask if they didn't have one. No one was monitoring the line to ensure proper distance. What really ruin it for me is when I ask for takeout trays and found a live roach in the tray. We approached the female manager and her reaction was dismissive, uncaring and unapologetic. She was actually telling us the excuse that we just got those trays of the truck today. She also indicated it was all about the money, until my husband told her no it's not about the money it's about cleanliness and being respectful to your customers. Do they not rinse their takeout trays or inspect them before handling them to their customers? Are they practicing proper protocol as far as cleanliness? Sadly, we will not be returning. read more

NO SERVICE AT ALL; TOO EXPENSIVE FOR A POLLO TROPICAL It takes 30 to 40 minutes to be seated......because you need to pre-order your food and after you pay you can be seated ( just like in a fast food, it can be compare to POLLO TROPICAL.....but you wait less in Pollo Tropical) and wait there is more wait...... after you pay you need to wait a good 2 minutes for them to clean your table. Don't even try to show your discomfort to the cashier .... they don't care if you wait. TOO EXPENSIVE and Severs don't acknowledge you after paying $20 for shrimp, rice and coke. Please be ready to Serve you own coke in an 8oz plastic, clear cup.... (at least Pollo Tropical cups are bigger and printed with their logo and it's way cheaper) Ambience.....well you will be eating at the rhythm of REAGGETON. Placed a order online said it would be ready for pickup in a hour. I called they said 20 mins. Got there and 30 mins just in case. Said another 10 mins. It was only $40 worth of finger foods not even entrees. And you feel forced to tip online before you can even see if everything was okay. I got home missing 2 chicken empanadas and my tequenos were squashed. Called them told them , said she had to find the manager. She said couldn't find the manger. A guy came in the phone and said he could deliver it to my house. I said no just refund it. I don't need to wait another 40 mins for them to bring empanadas to my house. But of course couldn't do a refund because there no manager. I said can I call back later she said. In 3 hours. Why all this work for food I didn't enjoy. Updated.... of course received a phone call right after review. Said they would refund me. Lol only 5.86 was refund. How about the tip I left you don't deserve and the uneatable tequenos??? This is one terrific place and the food prices, service are the best. We had a group of four adults and two kids with all of us getting something we liked! More restaurants should be like this! My family and I had never had a cachapa before, and they are amazing. We loved every single thing we had here. My son claims that it was the best meal he has ever had. We also had shrimp, roasted pork, and another dish that I can't recall. All were delicious. The serving sizes were big. Each main course came with 3 sides and salad. The Sofrito menu is composed of culinary offerings from Central, Southern America and the Caribbean. My wife had a Shrimp entrée from Puerto Rico , my son ate Salmon entrée from Peru, and I enjoyed a massive fried red fish cooked Dominican Republic style. Sofritos offers a number of "Small Bites", Arepas, desserts and country related mixed drinks. My family not only had a meal, but a lesson in Latin cuisine. We were so happy to find this place in the midst of tourist central. The dining space is very clean and the decor is modern and warm. This is a fast casual restaurant serving not only Cuban food, but many other Latin staples. The decor is simple, but very pleasing and clean. The Cuban roast pork I had was good, but not as flavorful and juicy as that found at a good Miami Cuban restaurant. The value is outstanding, getting 3 tasty sides and a small salad with the entree. 2.5 Stars. Good food, but poor customer service. I gone here three times, once in person and two other times with pick up orders. If you order in person, it's slow so I thought I would try take out. They use a system that allows you to order food for pick up at a certain time, but then you are emailed and told the food will be out thirty minutes later. Each time when I picked up the food it tasted like it had been sitting a while like it was cold. For one take out order, I was upset that my food would be out much later than the time I picked (I picked the slot hours in advance to give the restaurant time). I tried to get the order canceled and the manager said to call the delivery service to cancel order because he doesn't have the ability to do it and then the delivery service said the manager refuses to cancel the order and the food will be out on time. This place is pretty clutch as it is very close to the hotels right outside of Disney. I actually ate her twice on my trip, once for dine-in the other for take-out. My only complaint with the dine in service is that the tables are not cleaned up immediately, and numbers are not taken off the tables so it's pretty unclear what tables are available for you to sit at. Aside from that the waiters/waitresses were very friendly and courteous. In terms of food, our meal was pretty good (except for dessert which I will get to.) I'm not so sure that the Cuban and Mini Tequeños were authentic (but both were recommended by our waitress so who am I to say anything) but they were both really good because who doesn't love some melted cheese? We also ordered an pernil arepas and the roast pork; both were delicious but I definitely recommend the roast pork dish! Not only is roast pork dish a pretty good deal as it comes with three sides, but it seemed more flavorful than the pernil arepas (which is also roast pork, but possible not cooked as long?) As for dessert, the tres leches was a little weird... the consistency was grainy and it wasn't served as a cake. It was given to us a kind of parfait cup, where all the cake was crumbled up and squished to fit the container. There was also too much whipped cream on top for me. The hospitality at Sofrito is great and so is the food. We were looking for Cuban food which they had but they also had so much more when it came to Latin Cuisine.
