The food was good but our desserts took 40 minutes to get to the table and we were asking the servers for it like 5 times and ultimately one server brought it in. Good food but horrible service. I won't go back. read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Got to love a place that has malta - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

They cut some time by ordering before you sit. I ordered the penil, white rice, black beans, platanos, tostones, paragon, yuca fries, boiled yuca and mini rellenos de papa and have to say the food was awesome. The pernil and beef in the patacon were well seasoned and so tender. The price was very reasonable. Will come again when I visit read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Gonna try this restaurant. Hope it's all good - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Came here because we were craving Latin food! This place did not disappoint! Very relaxed atmosphere and decor is modern and cozy. We were promptly greeted by a worker who asked if this was our first time here. It was, and she took the time to explain everything. We ended up getting the churrasco steak and roast pork entrees. Each entree came with a salad and 3 sides! So much food and it was so cheap. Only disappointment was the yellow rice was very dry and hard, however everything else was so yummy! Will come here again next time we're in Orlando. read more

Let me start by saying that Im a true Miami girl who lives up North for 5+ years and I was so happy to find this place when I went for vacation with my fam. My husband and I started our day at the dog park 2 miles down the road. I called to ask if they had a patio and allowed dogs. When I called first, whoever picked up the phone didn't bother to say "hello could you please wait" and just set the phone down. I waited one minute and tried calling back for two minutes but they didn't bother hanging up. By the time I got through a second time, the hostess actually said hello and placed me on hold for 6 minutes until I hung up. Ok so I drop the dog off, get to the restaurant, which by the way is dog friendly-would've been nice to know. We both ordered the Patacón which had too much meat and not enough tostone but the flavor was on point as far as the meat. The tostone was a bit soggy and would be better with carne asada or a thin steak. The Colombian empanadas were good. The service was pretty lame though. Other than the phone call in the beginning, they didn't bring our coffee first like we asked and forgot our churros until we asked. I saw the churrasco dish go by and it looked delicious. I'd give this place a try again. The food was tasty but the service sucked and I'm not the kind of person that cares much about service but it was pretty lame. read more

Ordered from Uber Eats to my hotel on a business trip. Everything was fresh and delicious. Look forward to trying again.

A little surprised that it was self service in that you ordered at the counter and servers brought the food to the table. Food was great but with that type of service food comes out at various times read more

Everything we had was amazing! Glad the hotel recommended this place. Just a short, beautiful walk to this gem!

A great mix of Cuban, Colombian, Peruvian, and other Latin flavors all come together for a 5-star experience! With a very eclectic menu including sandwiches, arepas, empanadas, and all sorts of other Latin tastes from around the region you can't go wrong at Sofrito. The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere is nice and open and clean. The staff was super friendly and were really helpful in getting everything we needed. My medianoche was fresh and tasty and service was quick which is appreciated at lunch. They also had a great beer and wine selection that I will definitely be back to try. read more

Poor customer service. Server taking orders at the door can't focus on the order to take because too busy chatting with coworkers. There is no welcome greeting to make you feel welcome at all. They sat us down and half of our party got their food quickly but the other half had to wait an additional 10-15 minutes to the point where we had to get up and look for an employee because no servers are walking around, checking on tables, or asking if anyone is okay/ need anything. After all this confusion we decided to call over a supervisor where she literally replied to us saying "you think so? I don't think so." When we explained how poor the customer service is. Keep in mind, they charge you for your order at the door BEFORE you sit, so maybe they don't feel the need to give outstanding customer service after you've already paid. read more

I've been trying to make it out to this restaurant for a while now, so I think I built it up in my head. I was also encouraged by all the high ratings, but I was disappointed with a couple things during my visit: 1. Service. Not sure if they've recently moved to a new location, but things were a hot mess. From the moment we walked in to the moment we left. The staff seemed very reluctant to serve us. We found ourselves in weird positions asking the servers to serve us, if that even makes sense. Every time they came to our table we had to convince them of what we ordered and assure them several times we did in fact pay for these items. We couldn't' figure out why they would bring food to our table, then make us prove that we ordered it. We ended up not even getting 3 things we ordered because the staff told us we didn't order it. 2. Food. I got one my favorite plates: lomo saltado, and it was very, very salty. This meat is usually brown, but for some reason here it was black. That being said I don't want to focus on only on the negative. They've really nailed the hip, casual dining, community feel that they're going for. They have board games for guests to play while there and I love that. I was really rooting for this place, and I hope they can train staff to be more accommodating and organized, especially being a tourist dense area. read more

Based on Yelp, this place did looked promising. Upon entering, their concept has left me confused at first. So I seek for assistance with the ladies up front who seemed annoyed and spoke minimal English. Basically you pick up a board menu and than place your order at the counters. Grab a number and seat yourself. Service was slow too. We ordered Colombian & Cuban Empanadas. Their dough was too fried and had little filling. Than we shared the Patacon sandwich. Quickly regretted ordering pork instead of beef after taking the first bite. As the taste wasn't as good as the photos. Maybe they should add a bit more sauce to it to balance out the dryness of the meat and the two green plantains. We were pretty much plaintained out as we also gotten tostones as a side. Overall, we were both disappointed in our first time experience here. read more

Really good Latin food. I tried the pabellon which is like ropa vieja and it was so good I came back for lunch a couple of days later. I tried the media noche and churros the second time. I'm now usually on this side of town so I likely won't be coming back soon but those churros tho!!!! read more

Yelp, I am forever in your debt for this find as I'm sure I never would've come across it otherwise. I'm only in the area once a year for vacation. We tried Sofrito two years ago and loved it. Last year we didn't make it and after returning tonight we cannot believe we were so dumb! I will NOT let that happen again! We ordered the papas rellenas and a Colombian empanada. The empanada was fine but I definitely liked the other countries' empanadas we had last time. If only I could remember which ones we tried then. The papas rellenas were fantastic. For entrees we ordered the cachapa with pork and the churrasco. Both were phenomenal! Churros for dessert. Next time I'll ask for sauces on the side to dip instead of drizzled over. Just my preference. Despite how good the food was my favorite part was the board games. My son was not a happy camper and would've certainly ruined our meal had it not been for the games. I've never appreciated Jenga so much in all my life! read more

New favorite place for breakfast in the Disney area. Great food, solid bar selection (had mimosas and bloody Mary's with brunch) great service and reasonable prices. Delicious food. Freshly prepared, clean taste, good portions. We will definitely come again when in Orlando.

Absolutely amazing and fresh food. We had the vegetarian meal and the churrasco. Both super fresh and tasty. Good was ready very fast , atmosphere was very relaxing with good music , service efficient without being overwhelming . The mojito flight ....excellent !!! We will come back ! read more

Great food, nice and warmed up. Will definitely come back ! Soup was great. Empanadas were awesome

We ordered our dinner and had it delivered to our room. It arrived warm. The fries died on the ride over so I wouldn't suggest ordering fries to go but you can tell they would have been amazing if we ate them there. They have a lot of gluten free options so we tried most of them. I would suggest getting sauce if you order the pulled pork and a million empanadas. We all loved the gluten free empanadas and wish we had more of them. If we had this restaurant near us at home we would be here weekly. read more

As my wife said, "What's not to like about this place? Great atmosphere. Quick service. Lovely staff." Fantastic breakfast. Love the Venezuelan empanadas and Pabellon Areoa (shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains and white cheese in between two corn pancakes). Can't wait to come back to try lunch or dinner! read more

Cool vibe - hip brick and chic decor. Ordering process a little clunky, but ok. The centerpiece here is the food and decor. The staff attentiveness, food serving, and ordering process hold this place back. That said, in the heart of Mickey Mouse land, it's a good choice among a sea of schlock. read more

God damn your food is excellent! Like jeeeezus H Christ, my family and I loved your flavor, your service, and the fair pricing!

Not the best food. Attitude of employees is subpar. The restaurant was basically empty. Management has some training to do. We sent back tostones because they were cold and soggy. Nicely asked for replacement and was greeted with attitude. Some of the other people in our party enjoyed their food. So they get 2 stars. I wouldn't come back read more

I really enjoyed the Sofrito Latin Cafe. The food was priced reasonably, had great flavor and the service was excellent. I ordered the [Cuban] Roast Pork with three sides, black beans, red beans, and fried Yuca -- I was attempting to be go low carb. The portions were generous, pretty fast and tasty. I would most definitely return if I found myself in the area and would recommend Sofrito to anyone on a budget who likes food from Latin America! read more

This restaurant is a newly, hidden gem. Upon first appearances, I was a tad skeptical. There were almost no diners. One of the wait staff members went to Burger King for his dinner. What was to be expected? Then we ordered our food. The waitresses were all welcomeing and let us know it was considered a fast-casual dining experience. We ordered the vegetarian meal with maduros and tostones. After a seemingly lengthy wait (considering we were the only diners), the food came out hot, fresh, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, DELICIOUS. Everything had a pleasant taste and reminded us of places in South Florida that offer similar fare. The one oddity to the establishment is the use of plastic ware considering how the food is brought out to the tables. The restaurant ambiance seemed like you'd be eating off of glassware, but I understood what is the point - save on dishwashers. Overall, the food is good. The menu is broad enough to want to try other dishes, but not too big to be overwhelming. The waiters/waitresses were pleasant (but not too overly eager to serve). Verdict: I'd go back. read more

First timer. My wife and I decided to give Sofrito a try. I was not let down. I ordered the Churrasco with yuca which was seasoned in mojito garlic and some sweet plantines. It was delicious! Tried some empanada - they had a couple, but only tried the Venezuelan cheese empanada-loved it! They have a big selection and it's a mix of Latin food dishes. Dessert, had the coconut flan it was awesome tasting. Although the portion was a bit small and since it was soooo good left me wanting a little bit more. Definitely recommend this place if you're into Spanish/Latin food. read more

Visited this cute little cafe while on our vacation to Orlando recently. The ambience is warm, welcoming and very artistic. Food was absolutely delicious that we came here twice while we were in town. I tried the roasted chicken, roasted pork, fried yucca, tostones and black beans, my partner tried the kale salad with chicken and she loved it. The espresso is super yummy. The people were very friendly and so kind. Latin music was on point. We highly recommend this place. Great delicious food for a very reasonable price. We will return when we visit Orlando soon! Thank you for our wonderful delicious Latin food experience. read more

Awesome food but very dissapointed with the service and manager's response. Too many latin restaurants in the area to risk it a second time.

This is some damn solid fast casual Latin food! Also it combines so many different countries cuisine. Being married to a Colombian we had to get the huge plater for $32. It ended up being 4 meals and really tasty. The huge bonus is it is in touristy hell, so it is a flavorful and value find for sure!! I'll be coming back whenever in the area. read more
