Had to try this place as this was just next to the hotel I was staying. So after doing a 10 mile run, went straight here for breakfast and it didn't disappoint. It's a pretty huge resto and easy to order either thru their computer kiosk or at the counter. The guy at the counter was very nice and hospitable. I love empanadas so I asked for his recommendations and he said try the Colombian empanadas. It didn't disappoint. The dough was made from corn and it was vey light, airy and non greasy. It was pure delicious and was very satisfying! I highly recommend this place!!

Went here for a vacation in Florida for breakfast! We ordered a beef Arepas that contains black beans and plantains, and a cafe con leche. The server helped advise food choices since we wanted something savory for breakfast! It met all the expectations! Savory and very filling! The total cost was ~$20 and there was plenty of free parking in front of the restaurant. Would definitely order the arepas again!

Another place I come for take out every time I'm in Orlando. Absolutely love the plantains. Pork and steak are really really good. This time I tried the sautéed veggie side - not great bc it was so spicy - so will need to stick with the pork, steak or chicken plates next time. Also had a beef empanada which was delicious

As a Caribbean woman my palate and my tummy were HAPPY! Well seasoned food, clean restaurant, great customer service, this place made my out of town friends super happy. Came during World Cup on a Friday afternoon. It wasn't packed but there was a steady stream of families and people who work in the area. Later into the afternoon more people started to come for the late games and Happy Hour drinks; not sure if they have drinks specials as this was a "dry work meeting." I had the 1/2 chicken, rice, black beans, plantains, and a mocktail. I will be back again to try more of their menu.

On our family trip down to Orlando, we were staying right next to this popular Latin cafe. Their menu was huge and had lots of different classics from arepas, sandwiches and grilled meats. I enjoyed the sandwiches we got as they were absolutely stuffed and loved the shredded pork. The grilled steak was also very good and had a nice char flavored that paired well with their chimichurri. The assorted platter we got was just ok as a lot of the meats were dry (possibly cuz they were cooking too many meats at once?). Overall I would say this restaurant was pretty good and had lots of variety so there are options for everyone to choose from. Apps: Ham Croquettes and Cod Fritters Entrees: Pabellon Arepas, Patacon (shredded pork in between plantains), Churrasco (grilled skirt steak) and Picada for Two (steak, chicken, pork and chorizo platter)

Flavorful Latin comfort food and delicious desserts Stopped by Sofrito Latin Cafe in Orlando and ordered the pulled pork plate, cachapas, and a Nutella empanada. The pulled pork was tender, juicy, and packed with flavor. It was well-seasoned and paired nicely with the sides, making for a hearty and satisfying meal. The cachapas were a slightly sweet, soft, and comforting with a delicious filling that balanced the corn flavor beautifully. For dessert, I tried the Nutella empanada, and it was the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The pastry was warm and crispy, while the Nutella filling was rich and indulgent without being overly heavy. Service was friendly and welcoming, and the staff made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. The vibe is casual and cozy, with a neighborhood café feel that makes you want to linger a little longer. It feels like a hidden gem where the focus is on flavorful food and warm hospitality. Overall, a great spot for Latin comfort food with generous portions and authentic flavors. I'd definitely come back to try more items from the menu.

The next time you are visiting this place is a must stop. Its really close to Disney Springs and absolutely delicious. We stopped in for dinner and cocktails. The mojito was incredible but the food is the star for sure! Freshly made and delicious. There are so many wonderful options on the menu. We cant wait to stop back and try more including breakfast!

I don't normally write reviews, but all of the staff, and even the manager were very nice to talk to. Chase was greeted us when I first got there. He explained about the various foods. He laughed at all my jokes. Aliyah was a great waitress and came back often to check on us. She has a nice smile and was very friendly and attentive.

Three bites in and my husband declared Sofrito as his new favorite restaurant. Prices are good, food is great! Dessert was delicious! Service was excellent. Highly recommend. We'll definitely come back!

It is my duty to come here every few years to remind everyone how much I love this place. I don't go there nearly enough, but I went yesterday and it reminded me just how good they are. We visited around 3:15pm on a Saturday and ordered at a tablet. I got a pernil with plantains and my companion got a churrasco. I also got their limited time St Paddy's day mocktail. It was kind of like a virgin apple mojito and it was really good and refreshing. The pernil was excellent as usual: well sauced and tender and juicy. The churrasco was beautifully cooked and seasoned. They always knock it out of the park here with their meats. The plantains were of course delicious as usual, and the service was great. My only comment is that I could've sworn that this place had Alfajores a few years ago. I could be wrong, but I vaguely recall them being delicious and I was sad to not see them on the menu this time. Any way you roll the dice, you won't regret coming to sofrito. They're quick, it's well priced, and the food has never disappointed me in my 7 years of going here.

The service was OK not too happy with the service. The ambiance was great we sat outside. It was very nice very breezy. They had a TV there and they had sports on, it was pretty cool. The food a is amazing. It was surprisingly fresh. The pork patacon with sweet plantain was really good with the pork . my Bestie, She orde a Cherasco steak and they cooked well, it was on point. They have variety of different drinks. I would come back for the food. Service weak but over 4 stars ...

Fresh and flavorful food with quick service. We stopped in while visiting Disney World in October 2025. The portion size was excellent for the price; we could g even finish all of our food. The Cuban sandwich had a hefty amount of meat; the arepas did, too! Come hungry! This is fast-casual dining that is pretty healthy and fresh. Loved it!

Pay D.

This spot is soo cute! We made the drive from the airport and were very happy we did. Everything was so yummy, I had the patacon de maduro and are you kidding me! They were super friendly, and helpful. It's true cafe style, so you can come here to have a good meal with family and friends or even get some work done. Excited to get back!

Came in for breakfast and pleasantly surprised. The menu is short but distinctive, not five variations on the same thing to pad out the menu. Ordered guava and Nutella waffles, a big plate came out easily shared and tasty. Classic 2 eggs breakfast:eggs, bacon, yuca, and Cuban toast. Each piece pulling its own weight; bacon is more of a cured pork belly, yuca was crisp and light, and pressed toast and eggs are just perfect together. The creole breakfast was similarly impressive, cheese on beans added a rich dimension, pulled meat was deeply flavored, with only the corn fritters being mildly interesting. The coffee selection is equally strong; intense espresso and a soothing cafe con leche. A very good breakfast indeed. read more

Not a fan of the order, pay, then sit at this particular spot, didn't flow well. The shrimp was meh at best and yuca had zero flavor. My brother had a Cuban sandwich (which he'd enjoyed thoroughly in the past) and said it was WAY different than the times before. Small, limp, and no mustard - wtf ? The alfajor was nothing special. The churros and empanada were something good to end the meal with but didn't save it. Not going back. read more

I ordered a pick up order of the roasted pork entree with fried yuca, beans, and plantains. Unfortunately I was so hungry I devoured it without taking a picture. The portion size was huge! And not too expensive. Everything tasted fresh. The pork was a bit dry but still flavorful. They have a nice covered patio with fans. Will definitely come back if I'm in the area again. read more

Spent 20 dollars for two empanadas and a coffee, waited over 40 mins to get the empanadas. Me and my friends had ordered separate right after each other and everybody got their food super late and item by item and too much time in between, all others were mixed up, it was only 3 separate orders. Empanadas were cold , lomo saltado was so salty it would burn your tongue. Tried to get somebody's attention but since you pay at the front nobody cares. I told two of the food runners it was taking too long and one said I know, and the other said it was because the orders were separate. I tried to make this short but there were so many things wrong in this place. Also we got the wrong flavored empanadas. read more

The boyfriend and I ate here on a Friday night. There was only one or two tables of people around 6 pm. Despite there only being 2 tables in the restaurant, our food took over 30 minutes. I'm still not sure why the food took so long. This is why I'm giving 4 stars. Everything else about the experience was very good. We shared the beef empanada and skirt steak. This was plenty of food for two adults. We agreed that two entrees would have been too much food. The skirt steak came with a salad and three sides. We ordered the yellow rice, red beans and boiled yucca. The food was good quality and the skirt steak had a lot of flavor. We enjoyed the atmosphere which had a hip and modern feel. I always enjoy finding local spots in the tourist area of town and this place fit the bill. The food was on the more expensive side for a fast casual type restaurant ($15 for the skirt steak meal) but the quality justified it. I recommend tourists to visit here to get a local flavor instead of visiting all the other chains across the street. read more

We got there at the tail end of brunch (breakfast ends at 11:00am every day) and waited in line for half an hour to order (granted, it was a Sunday)...we were relieved that at 11:01 they still let us order breakfast. (They could definitely use a more efficient ordering system -- they only had two folks taking orders, one of whom was also taking phone orders, so the ordering was REALLY slow, and the line went way out the door.) After you order, you go pick your own table. Be prepared to wait in line, as this place is popular! But there was a lot of available seating, a lot of covered outdoor seating (they have a great big covered patio!) which was great in COVID times. It took a while for our food to get to us, but it was all excellent! The guava and Nutella waffles were delicious (if a bit dry -- ask for an extra side of guava sauce! Protip: Make sure they haven't accidentally given you ketchup instead of guava sauce before you put it all over your waffles, because they look EXACTLY THE SAME). My mom loved the ham and cheese croquettes, I got the B.E.C. sandwich, which was perfect, even though Swiss cheese isn't usually my first choice, and my sister was surprised by how huge the avocado toast was -- she didn't even have room for her empanada! (Which came with yummy cilantro sauce that was very garlicky.) The iced lattes were also perfect -- so glad to find a place around here with good iced lattes! Would definitely go here again, though maybe a little earlier to avoid the line! read more

Such a nice, affordable spot near Disney! Recommended by an Uber driver and we're definitely grateful for the recommendation. It's a blend of different Latin foods. The columbian empanadas were delicious. The churrasco was very good too but I felt like it was a little lacking in chimichurri. It came with three sides and a salad. It was definitely big enough to share if you get it with a few appetizers. I didn't order the fried yucca myself, but the bite I had was also tasty! read more

I think this would be a 4 star or higher, however, they continued to mess up our food order even after 2 times mentioning what we ordered. Apart from that it was really good food and the folks are nice and tried to fix the mistake but it took three times to get it right. I think the issue is ordering at the front and not having a dedicated waiter. We had the churrasco steak (really good), the 1/2 chicken (really good), arepa with pernil (a little dry and needed mayo ketchup). I would recommend and give another try. Maybe just a bad night. But the service is a large part of the experience. read more

One of the best restaurants to which I have been. I am a born-and-raised Latino--I don't ever recall having better latin food. With a very friendly and diverse menu, this restaurant offers a truly wholesome experience. All the dishes specify their country of origin--they provide a masterfully and beautifully curated assortment of the best. My company and I ordered a couple of Argentinian empanadas as appetizers; they were very tasty. We asked for a little bit of chimichurri to put on top, and it worked really well. As our main dish, we ordered the Roast Pork (braised for 36 hours). I wish I was able to describe how delicious it was. The main course came with 3 sides of choice, and house salad. The salad was fresh and perfectly dressed. For sides I tried the red beans, yellow rice, and fried plantains--all three were excellent. Last but not least: The coconut flan is perfection. Not only is the flavor A+, also, everything is very reasonably priced. You definitely get more than what you pay for. I am looking forward to my next visit. read more

We arrived at 8:00pm and the way to order/sit was very confusing. We eventually figured out that you order and prepay before you eat. (PS you have to pay and tip prior to sitting (insert eye roll)). The problem came when we waited over 1.5 hours for our food and a couple 45 minutes behind us got their food first. There was no waitress to ask to refill our drinks or to ask about where are food was. Tons of empty and inefficiently used tables. This restaurant desperately needs to reassess how they run service. They are hemorrhaging money in drink sales alone. The saving grace is that the food is delicious! Fantastic portions and options. It's one of those meals where no one talks. Wouldn't return simply because it was a stressful dining experience. If #UndercoverBoss or #BarRescue is looking for a spot to help, this is it! read more

Ugh, I really wanted to like this place. I had high expectations of getting some authentic food here in Florida. The chicken empanadas were so dry! I mean really, really dry! My husband's chicken was dry as well and he ended up leaving it all. I enjoyed the plantains and yellow rice and that was about it. I'm extremely confused about the ratings for this place! Service: It was alright. The woman who I'm assuming is the manager who took my order greeted me when it was my turn by saying, "come up" and giving me a 'come forward' hand gesture. Then saying, "you're order" ..... wtf? The so-called service started and ended there. We didn't get a "how is your food?" or "have a good day, thanks for coming" when leaving. I was visiting Orlando and was in the area. My friend and I had lunch here. The churrasco was good. It came with two sides. I had fries, tostones, and salad. My son had the black beans and rice. The ambiance was nice but service was a bit lacking. My friend said her food didn't sit well with her stomach but I didn't have any issues and we order the same thing. The food portion was big. Overall a nice place to eat Latin food. There is a lot of space, both inside and out. Price vs Value: Fair because the food was good and I would spend about the same in a Friday's, Outback, or any other similar restaurant chain. read more

Great place with a fun atmosphere and outdoor seating. The menu is extensive and has many good choices. I had the Cuban sandwich and was disappointed. It was dry without much flavor. My husband the Venezuelan sandwich and was quite pleased. From what I saw there were many regulars eating there so repeated customers is a good sign. I would go back and order something else. read more

Ok this has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando and I loved the food so much. Alfredo was my…read moreserver and he had the best recommendation and I loved it. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.

So of course, when I went to Pal Campo Restaurant, I had to order the paella. I didn't dine in this time, I grabbed it to go. First impression? They definitely got my attention because there was a big ol' lobster sitting right on top! Now THAT is how you introduce me to a plate of paella. The flavor was really good, the seafood was good, and overall I enjoyed it. My one issue was the peppers and onions. There were a LOT of big chopped pieces that I could clearly see and taste, and for me, that was a little bit of a turnoff. I prefer everything in my paella to blend together a little more. But did that stop me from eating it? Absolutely not. And here's the funny part. I ate the leftovers the next day and somehow it tasted even better! Maybe everything just needed a night to get acquainted because that second-day paella was hitting. So, as your self-appointed traveling paella inspector, I'm giving this one a 8/10. Bahama Breeze

Still a Favorite After 30 Years!…read more I've been a frequent diner at Bahama Breeze for the past 30 years, so it's safe to say I'm a fan! My most recent visit to the Vineland Ave. location near the outlets was for a date night, and overall, we had a really enjoyable experience. We started with several margaritas, and they were vibrant, flavorful, and a great way to kick off the evening. We also enjoyed the yuca sticks and coconut shrimp -- both were delicious. The one big miss of the night was the tostones with chicken. The fried plantains were burnt, there was very little chicken, and unfortunately, there was none of the jerk seasoning that really brings this dish together. That was disappointing, especially since the flavors are what make this appetizer stand out. That said, I'm chalking it up to an off night. One dish isn't going to change my opinion after three decades of enjoying Bahama Breeze. I still love the restaurant, the atmosphere, and the overall experience -- and I'll definitely be back soon! Hopefully the tostones are back to their usual standard on my next visit.

Bahama Breeze is a restaurant themed as if it's in the islands. The outdoor area features fans and…read moregarden lights, but unlike the islands, it has no ocean breeze as it's located just off 535 in Florida. Therefore, we opted for indoor seating and the delightful air conditioning in today's 97 degree heat. The food was very good. The Jamaican jerk chicken wings are seasoned well. This time, they were slightly dry instead of perfect like last time. The grilled chicken with cilantro-crema, mashed potatoes and corn remains my favorite dish on the menu. Ask for a side of the sauce too; it's that good. The cheeseburger and fries was standard and okay but unremarkable, which means it was perfect for my mom who is a picky eater and not adventurous. Pro-Tip: if you are headed somewhere with a refrigerator, order the full portion of the grilled chicken with cilantro-cream and take one breast and some mashed potatoes home for another meal. The full portion is only $3 more than the light version, but comes with a second piece of chicken breast. Otherwise, save the $3 because one breast is plenty filling. You could also consider sharing the full portion plate to save room (and money) for apps or dessert. We chose the flaming pineapple butter cake for dessert. It arrived piled high with pineapples and vanilla ice cream on the side. When the server lit the sauce then poured it, the flames danced. However, not all the alcohol burns off. The cake was saturated and tasted of alcohol where it was poured. Warning: Check your receipt. We were charged $2.99 for trivia games we did not play and $0.50 extra for cheese when the item ordered was a cheeseburger listed as coming with cheese on the menu for $18.99.

Sofrito Latin Café offers a delightful escape into the vibrant and rich world of Latin American flavors. Located in a cozy, inviting space, the restaurant captures the essence of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with bright decor that instantly transports you to a warm, tropical destination. The menu is a celebration of Latin American staples, featuring a mix of classic and innovative dishes. The mofongo is a standout--fried plantains mashed to perfection and paired with savory meats or seafood, making for a comforting and flavorful dish. The arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) is another favorite, with tender, seasoned chicken and a perfectly cooked rice base that's rich in flavor. For appetizers, the tostones (crispy fried green plantains) served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce are addictive, and the empanadas are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and savory fillings. The salsa bar offers a nice variety of dipping sauces that complement the bold flavors throughout the meal. One of Sofrito's highlights is its cocktail selection, with expertly crafted mojitos, margaritas, and their signature Sofrito Punch, all featuring fresh ingredients and a strong Latin flair. It's the perfect way to start the meal or end it with a sweet note. Service is warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a genuine enthusiasm for the food they serve. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for both casual outings and special occasions. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the bold, flavorful world of Latin cuisine. With a mix of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambiance, it's easy to see why this place is a favorite for many. read more

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Lunch at Sofritos was nothing short of spectacular, just as it always is. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and the rich aromas of the kitchen set the tone for what would be a delightful culinary experience. We kicked off our meal with some refreshing bubbly that sparkled in our glasses, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion. The standout dish was undoubtedly the delightful croquetas. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness, and they were complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that intensified the flavors. But the real highlight was the amazing arepa. Stuffed to perfection, it was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors that transported us straight to culinary bliss. The warmth of the arepa coupled with the fresh ingredients made it feel like a warm embrace on a plate. As we enjoyed our light lunch, we exchanged stories and laughter, feeling rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the day. There's something incredibly uplifting about a meal shared with good company, and nothing beats the vibrant charm of Sofritos to kickstart our afternoon. #Florida #Orlando #yelpelite #sofritoslatincafe read more

I went to Sofrito Latin Cafe for lunch today and had an incredible experience. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The yuca was creamy and buttery, and those sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection. Even though it was busy during lunch rush, the energy was positive and welcoming. What impressed me was the attention to detail. My coffee came in a proper cup and saucer, the bread was warm, and everything was seasoned perfectly. You can taste the difference when people take pride in their cooking. For $19, I got a huge meal that was restaurant quality but felt homemade. I'm already telling my friends about this place - it's exactly what Orlando needs more of. read more

We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. We do not recommend this place anymore. read more

The small piece I got was $15 for lunch. *Important - Do not take your significant other to this place! The worse service in Orlando a -10. Place was empty and we had to wait over 30 minutes for a coffee. Spoke to the Manager and still did not get service. Soup was spilled all over the plate, food was totally cold after they finally brought it. I have never, ever received such an unprofessional and insufficient service. Asked for silverware after finally the food came and had to stand up and go get it myself because they never brought it. I give this restaurant a -10 and then some. read more

Luis who works there went above and beyond for me with my order especially when uber eats messed up and canceled my order. Not only was the employee working there (Luis) amazing but the food was fantastic. I ordered the lomo Saltado and pollo a la brasa. The meats were cooked to perfection and had amazing flavors. The sides and sauces were also great. Had an amazing meal for such a reasonable price. Thank you Luis! If I lived in FL I'd be here all the time. read more

Order at the counter and food is brought to the table. Portions are a bit small but food was good. Prices were fair. Restaurant was very clean and very busy. Staff moved quickly and it was difficult to get attention when there were issues. Sad that bread wasn't served with the meal. Ive been to a lot of Cuban restaurants given I live in Tampa and not getting bread is really unusual. Still, an authentic meal with some other Latin menu items. read more

We looked up over 50 restaurants online to visit since we are in Orlando for the first time .... we saw some reviews of this place and we were curious.... now we are hooked! From the cool chalk and distressed decor, to the amazing food to the sinful Nutella drenched churros... holy crap!!! I got an awesome platter of fresh local sourced food (we saw the farm trucks unload when we were there) .. for only $12.00ish ... we will be back!!! read more

We had a wonderful experience at this restaurant in Orlando! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great, and the service was excellent. Our server, Chase, was amazing--very friendly, attentive, and professional. He made sure everything was perfect and made our experience even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant, especially if you're lucky enough to have Chase as your server! read more

This place was incredible!! It took a while to get our food, but we it gave us a chance to take. Upon entered, you take a menu and order from the counter. The guy at the counter was very helpful. I thought I knew what I was ordering but he suggested I get it a different way. And it was amazing. Had the shrimp dish (I forgot the name) and it was very flavorful. Will come back again when in the area. read more

There are many options for Latino food in Florida. Being a chef and one that cooks and eats this type of cuisine regularly, I can be critical at time. This was not bad at all. I enjoyed the outside cafe area, and the service was good. Prices were not bad for the area and the connivence of several hotels within walking distance. I'd try them again next time I'm in the vicinity. read more

I ordered Colombian empanadas only to find that it was all potato and no meat . This is the 3rd time I order empanadas from here and it's been the same so it's no mistake , they're cheap with the meat . Also NO ONE came to check on us and we couldn't ask for what we needed at our table . Horrible customer service . Too bad cause they started out well . I wont be visiting again read more

Both times, I had rotisserie chicken; 1/4 chicken cooked to tender perfection, red beans and seasoned rice, plus sweet, fried plantains. It is a very delicious and filling meal. I sampled my wife's chicken soup with chunks of chicken, corn, potatoes or yucca and green plantains. It was very good. Service was kind, attentive and remembered us from our first visit. The food came out at very different times -- there was about a 15-minute gap between the beans and the chicken, so our group couldn't really enjoy the meal together. We were also surprised to see automatic gratuity added for a party of only five, especially considering the slow service. Between the low food quality, poor timing, and service issues, the experience was disappointing. The Lomo Saltado was the one bright spot. Will not return.

The guacamole is seriously to die for, and the salsas were just as good. I had the mango-avocado ensalada, which was fresh, light, and somehow still really filling. And the carne asada and al pastor? Chef's kiss. So flavorful and cooked perfectly! Uriel was absolutely wonderful! He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made the whole experience even better. The rest of the staff was just as welcoming, and the restaurant itself was impeccably clean. As someone visiting from Southern California, my Mexican food standards are pretty high, and Frontera Cocina definitely delivered. I would 100% come back the next time I'm in Florida. But I was genuinely excited for this meal. I'm a Rick Bayless fan and own all his cookbooks, so there was a little more anticipation involved than "please bring me food." I live in Texas and know my way around Mexican food and Tex-Mex, but I came in expecting something different. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, and we were well taken care of. The food, overall, was just okay for me, with a few highlights. The queso fundido was excellent. Great flavor, plus those long strings of cheese that turn eating into a small arts-and-crafts project. There were three of us, and it arrived with exactly three tortillas. The tortilla-to-person math was flawless. The tortilla-to-cheese ambition needed work. We asked for more, and they were quickly brought over, so consider this your friendly tip to request extras. I didn't need a huge entrée, so I went with the chicken flautas. These were really good, although the chicken had an unexpectedly creamy texture. Not what I anticipated, but I liked it. My bigger issue was the pile of extras on top. At some point, I wanted to politely ask the toppings to step aside so I could taste my flautas. Also, try the mango-infused iced tea. Really refreshing in the Florida heat, and one of my favorite parts of the meal. Apparently, I came for Rick Bayless and left thinking about tea. I'm glad I tried it. Beautiful setting, good service, excellent queso, and some enjoyable bites, but the meal as a whole didn't leave me eager to return. With so many other restaurants to explore, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

It was conveniently located nearby and turned out to be a wonderful breakfast stop. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed in the morning. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and were very patient while we took our time looking through the menu and deciding what to order. For drinks, we ordered the 3 Mocha, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte, and everything tasted great. The mocha in particular was excellent, it had such a rich, naturally delicious flavor that it honestly didn't need any additional sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered the Breakfast Club, Avocado & Egg Salad Sandwich, and Mushroom Avocado & Vegan Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious, and the portions were excellent and very satisfying. There was a great variety of flavors across the dishes, and everyone at the table found something they really enjoyed. Overall, Moma's Cafe was a great breakfast experience from start to finish. Between the cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious drinks, and generous portions, it's definitely a place we would happily return to the next time we're in the area. A breakfast spot worth repeating!

The restaurant looked like it was only at half capacity (seating). The cashier was polite/friendly. It's sad to see a restaurant turn away customers. There were at least 8 parties that came and left because they didn't want to wait. I guess for a business that's a good problem to have. ‍ Giving three stars because the ambiance was nice, cashier seemed friendly, menu had a nice selection for brunch, speciality drinks/coffee. Next time I'm in town and try the food I can give additional two stars if the food is worth it.
