Ordered take out during Covid. Visiting from PA and still not comfortable with some dining situations. This was an amazing dinner!! We ordered too much actually for two people! Both meals came with salad and a choice of three sides! Lots of leftovers for dinner tomorrow! Maybe tacos!! And the empanadas will have to wait for lunch tomorrow! And the price was amazing!! Friendly staff and the flavors were so good! Highly recommended! read more

We drove by and liked the outside of the restaurant and decided to give it a try. The food we ordered with coffe was very good and the service was excellent. I never had Cuban food because we were visiting from California. I would definitely come back the next time I visit Orlando. read more

We recently had our first experience with this restaurant. I was not impressed. You have to order and pay at the counter, then you get a number, take a seat and wait on your food. They expect a tip before delivering any service, I'm not ok with that concept. I'm typically a good tipper, but I like to acknowledge the service with the TIP. My wife had an empanada, it was cold and soggy / stale, the cachapa was fine. My meal was average (rice, beans, sweet plantain and seasoned ground beef). The ambiance is average. Honestly, I wasn't impressed. I will probably not be back. read more

We loved this place so much during our vacation we had to come back for a second time. Cubano was great, and Churrasco also fantastic. Venezuelan empanadas were just perfect and fresh with nice crunch and tender meat. Coffee three different ways all outstanding. Even straight shots were smooth as can be. Flavor profiles on each dish well balanced. My kids loved the fried yucca. Can't recommend enough! read more

If you ever in the Disney are and want to get away from all the crowds and tourists area come to Sofrito Latin Cafe for some really good spanish food! Lots of parking available, table space, they even have a spacious outside seating. When you walk in, they have their menu's hanging on a rack and it's two sided no fuss menu. Although the font is a little small, it's doable to read. I love ordering their empanada's here. The cuban empanada with the chicken filling is my favorite! Something about the crust and how the chicken is seasoned is really good. If you order a sandwich, i highly recommend the PATACON! oh my gosh, SO GOOD!! Instead of your typical sandwich with bread, your sandwich is in between two crispy plaintains, lettuce, shredded beef (option of pork too if you wanted another choice), a garlic sauce and something else that added was delicious. It's a very flavorful sandwich, and very filling. Must have! Their entree's are also really good to order, lots of options and hefty serving of food. Every entree comes with 3 sides and a side salad. Hello, worth your money! I've had the pollo plancha and the churrasco. Both VERY good. Overall the staff here is really friendly, food comes out pretty quick, real good food and worth every penny! read more

Love the looks of this establishment because it's a decent size both inside and outside! Food is also pretty good lacks a tiny bit more Saxon but overall good! My kids love the empanadas and the yuca frita!! read more

On our family vacation to Orlando and Disney (during COVID times), we decided to have our last dinner at Sofrito (we ate there vs carry out). We have Sofrito almost every vacation to Orlando for a few years, and this time it was EXCELLENT (even better than last year). COVID Info: They're definitely taking all needed precautions. Distances tables, staff wearing masks and gloves, etc. Most important, the Food! - DELICIOUS - We had a sampling of empanadas (Cuban and Colombian, both beef). Cuban won out by far, our kids liked them too. - We also had the Arepa Pernua -- Fantastic! Get it! We liked it better than the empanadas. Great flavor, and the corn masa was perfectly cooked. - For the main we had the Currasco. It was done about medium, and was great. Had it with yellow rice, black beans, and sweet plantains. You can't go wrong with Maduros! - For dessert, we had churros, the nutella empanada, and the vanilla flan. The kids loved the churros, and the flan was awesome. - Finished it all off with a cafe con leche! Sofrito is honestly our favorite place to eat in Orlando. Always great service and food, and a cool atmosphere of relaxed conversation. read more

In from out of town to visit the Disney parks and we needed a break from theme park food...thank goodness we searched and found Sofrito! We came for diner and lunch the very next day. Delicious food and great service. My new goto spot for a lunch outside of disney property !

We took a day trip to Orlando to pick up a car part and decided to stop and get food while we were down here. I found this restaurant on Yelp and decided to check it out because the food looked amazing and the reviews were great. The reviews were right, the food was sand the portions were so big we had enough to take home as leftovers. Staff was very friendly too! read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Vegetarian Combo, spinach and cheese Argentinian Empanada, and Lomo Saltado. Amazing! - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

I would give this place 3 stars. The waiter we had was nice but the service of getting our food was horrible. They forgot our appetizer and then we had to remind them after our dinner came and then getting refills on soda was like forever. The guy who seemed like manager or important kept ignoring us when we called him while near our table. The reason I gave this 3 stars because food was okay and waiter was nice. I probably won't go back especially for the food. read more

The food was amazing . Big plates and inexpensive. Authentic latin food. Big range of food

After days of eating bar/fast food galore, my husband and I needed a break. Did a Yelp search and found that Sofrito Latin Cafe right across our hotel for the weekend actually had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. I loved the feel of the resto, it was casual but very nicely decorated, industrial-clean is how I would best decribe it, with edison bulbs, brick walls and mason jars . They do it "self service" style where upon entry, you are handed a menu and instructed to order by the counter and get cutlery by yourself. They also have a water station so you can help yourself with that too. We got two different appetizers, the Argentinian Empanadas filled with ground beef and Papa Rellena which are potato balls filled with meat and onions. Both were good enough, but they were lacking in filling. We also got two entrees, Lomo Saltado which is a Peruvian classic: skirt steak and veggies that came with a sauce that was really savory that went so well with the rice. Beef was cooked so tender but I wish we had the option to choose sides to go with it because it came with fries that we barely touched. Second entree was the Roast Pork which was pulled and spiced perfectly. For the mains which were not part of the Classics list you can choose three sides to go with it plus a house salad. We got yellow rice, red beans and fried bananas. All three were so good and paired so well with the pork! This was our favorite dish! The sweet ending we got was their Tres Leches cake which was really sweet but exactly what I needed after a very savory meal. It would have been great to have it coffee but we were in a hurry so I skipped that. Our bill rounded up to $40ish with two apps, two hugely portioned mains and a dessert, it was true value for money! read more

Sofrito Latin Cafe - Roast Pork with your choice of 3 sides (yellow rice, fried bananas and red beans) and a salad. Must try! - Latin American Near Me - Orlando, Florida

Sadly it's a little hard to find good coffee in the area, there are a few exceptions. Sofrito is one of them. Nice when you walk in, clear menu, usual Cuban coffee style espresso. Ordered to go and waited at the bar. It was clean, espresso machine was clean. She was nice, made the drinks right, cleaned the machine after. Very good experience. All I had was coffee this time, I'll be back for the food experience for sure. read more

Not sure if I came in on the wrong day.. the attendant who I ordered my food to, just rude!! The cuban sandwich, nothing special.. the tostones were good.. the empanada de pollo was very salty.. the guava and cheese, no where near what a cuban pastelito should be.. never again!! And I am cuban so I know the flavors.. read more

Horrible service at this place. Ordered takeout and waited almost 30 minutes at their bar for a few empanadas and tequeños. Asked someone behind the bar and then they came out with my order and said they were accidentally plating it..... ok, no problem. Called the next day and placed my order for takeout by phone. The young man that answered took the order and said it would be ready in 10-15 minutes. 15 min later I walk in the door and waited in the slow order line to request my order. The lady finds it in her system, walks behind the bar and doesn't see it. She asks the boy behind the bar (the one that took the order) about it, discusses something with him and tells me she's preparing it now. I let her know to cancel it. Two days in a row where their service sucked. Not going back to experience a third, sorry. read more

Delicious! Great variety of Latin plates. The seasoning was delicious on their yellow rice. Their sweet plantains are crunchy on the outside and delicious and juicy on the inside. Perfectly cooked! Their Guava juice was perfect. We ordered Cuban sandwiches and media noche sandwiches and they were perfection. The place is very clean and the atmosphere is peaceful and lively at the same time. The service was excellent, very attentive. When in Orlando again we will definitely come back. read more

I visited Sofrito about a month ago for the first time and everything exceeded my expectations! We chose Sofrito because my wife and father in law both have very strict nutrition plans. They offer vegan, gluten-free, and other friendly option for them to eat a full meal. 6 of us dined inside 2 kids and 4 adults. All of our meals were very hearty portions and delicious. My oldest son was mad because he had to get the kids cheese burger, but when it arrived it's was about a 1/2 lbs burger with amazing fries and he couldn't finish. I wish Yelp would allow me to paste pictures in the review rather than accessing my photoshop I could post how perfect everything was. The service was also very fast and friendly! I can't stop thinking about their food and can't wait to go back. read more

Yelp folks you did not steer us wrong. Thank you for all the great reviews that led us here. We were just looking for a place to get a cubano coffee. One look at the menu and we had to try a few bites. The pandebono was a small bread bite with just a hint of funk in a great way. The Venezuelan empanadas with cheese had a nice salty cheese that was cut with a dipping sauce I wanted to bathe in with cilantro and garlic. The chicken Venezuelan empanada was savory with that same great sauce. The last bite was pappa rellena with many layers of flavor. Take your time with that bite. The staff was friendly and helpful. Oh yeah, and the reason we came-the cubano coffees were right on the mark. And they have full meals as well. The environment is clean and inviting. Give it a try. read more

8 of us Dinned here on our last day at Disney World, trust me, find this place! As a lover of Cuban and Latin food, and with 4 Latin Adults we all agreed Authentic was the perfect word. I had the Cuban Sandwich, very tasty (could have used more pickles) and we sampled a wide array of empanada's and Boletos (Mashed Potato and veggies, light fried into a Ball..Yumm. The Cuban Coffee was spot on authentic. What I liked about this place as it was cooked to order, very rare and made the dishes even better. We all had an amazing Brunch here and the prices are low... Amazing fresh food that hits the taste buds in all the right places. Pure enjoyment and highly recommend.

It's like a Spanish fast food restaurant. The food is good though. You order at the counter and then sit. I say fast food because the food comes out super quick so it's already cooked. read more

Pabellon Criollo - Classic Venezuelan dish. It's a seasoned shredded beef with white rice, black beans topped with cheese and sweet plantains. The savory beef is a not oily, dryer in texture was offset by the sweet plantain combination. Having tried a half dozen fried plantain, this was the only one I liked!! Its a must have. It's a gluten free dish which can also be dairy free without the cheese. So glad I found this on yelp read more
