Holy. Smokes. I expected good. I expected fresh. I did NOT expect to be blown away by the flavor, the variety, and the genuinely conscientious staff who ensured our entire experience was the absolute best from the moment we walked through the door to the second we packed up our leftovers. Argentinian empanada oozing with spinach and cheese. Pandebono that melts in your mouth. Slightly sweet and saucy Puerto Rican red beans. Boiled yucca with garlic sauce that you WILL lick off the plate. Heavenly, beautiful, perfect sweet plantains. Sofrito, your plantains are the starch that dreams are made of. I heart you. read more

Great food! We ordered the pernil arepa, ham croquettes, roasted pork plate and beef Venezuelan empanada. It was my boyfriend first time eating Latin food and he thoroughly enjoyed everything, the pork was tender and the sides were all great! Prices were also fantastic we ordered four items and only paid around $28! We were excited to try this place given the Yelp history. However, we found only average Latin food in a decent and friendly setting. There are definitely better places nearby (try Q'Kenan). The food was really good.... but the service was painfully slow. It's quick service - you order at a counter and they bring out the food to your table. Got sangria, Venezuelan empanadas, roast pork and a few other things. It was fantastic. They also had quite a few gluten free options that were well labeled on the menu. The problem is that our drinks took about 15 minutes to come to the table and it was just sangria. The food took over a half hour. We ordered a 2nd round of sangrias before the food came out and we didn't get those until after everyone had finished eating - it was at least 20-25 minutes. I would have liked to try some of the deserts but I couldn't stand to sit there and wait another half hour. I'd like to try more of their menu but maybe I'll order takeout from there instead. read more

Wife got the Churrasco (flank steak, $15.99) and the flavor was great. Black beans were very good, but our yellow rice was undercooked, and most pieces were hard. Plantains were okay. I got the Cuban sandwich ($6.69), and it was good, but I didn't like the mustard they used. It tasted like it had horseradish in it. The meat, cheese and bread were great, but I would skip the mustard (horseradish) sauce next time. Fountain sodas were $2.00, Service was friendly. read more

This is a great spot. Went with my son on our trip to Orlando. In a little strip center, you wouldn't think much just looking at it--but you'd make a mistake if that's how you judge this. First, the restaurant is very cute inside with a great outdoor dining area. Second, the menu is broad and interesting, and the meals are delicious. I had one Cuban and one Colombian empanada, my son had the garlic chicken. Each were great and huge, and also very reasonably priced with very polite and quick service. (You order at the counter and the meals are brought out to you. ). Also very clean and sanitary, important in this crazy Covid era. Definitely recommend, thank you! read more

Super cute interior decor and friendly staff made it worth the stop right off the bat. The food was solid Latin fare from Peru, Venezuela, & Cuba; nothing over the top fabulous but good, freshly prepared and well presented. We preferred the roast pork over the brasa (rotisserie) chicken as we found the latter a bit dry. Sides were a simple but good green salad, yellow rice, red beans, sweet plantains and tostones. Coconut flan was small but delicious. Again all solid, tasty and served at the right temp but nothing that made us go "wow". We live in Clearwater but enjoy hopping over to Orlando several times a year and we will definitely keep this on our "would do again" list. read more

I give it 4 stars even though really it's more of a 3.5~. The food was good. I enjoyed my steak dish with a side of rice, sweet plantains and red beans and my friends half chicken entree was very good--meat was tender and juicy while the skin was tasty and crispy. However, on top of those entrees we also ordered a Cuban empanada and chicken soup (so appetizers) and those didn't really come first or at all if we didn't remind them 2-4 times . We sat there waited for our first order to come but that didn't happened until over 20mins have passed and we had to ask one of the servers about our appetizer . I was so sad watching my neighboring customer who ordered later than us get their chicken soup before us . Anyhow, server brought the soup and informed us our entrees were ready too so she brought those as well....now where's my empanada ... yep she forgot again ... reminded her and asked for hot sauce and it took a long while for her to bring it to me cuz she forgot again! I don't know if we were just really forgettable customers or what cuz the service we received sucked but the food is good--the Cuban empanada was good too--wished it came out earlier or first。 read more

I loved visiting this super cute cafe serving up Latin American food. The cafe is located in the main strip area of hotel resorts in Orlando (definitely better than most food in the area!) I had a quick lunch here before heading to our next destination. The guava & cheese tequenos are soooo goood and definitely worth ordering. Sweet and savory deliciousness! The Skirt steak (Churrasco) topped with chimichurri sauce was also delicious and came with 3 sides. I could just eat their sweet plantains all day!! A great place for a quick bite! read more

Sofrito is a unique place to come and get a bite and some drinks. Delicious dishes from Cuba and attentive staff. They have a forward thinking service style where you go up and order sit down and they bring you your food. The food was quick and so so delicious ! I loved that they have gluten free items marked on the menu. Today was my first time having gluten free empanadas and they were amazing !! We also had the pernil arepa, & the bacon egg and cheese hand held. The arepa was a bit dry compared to arepa that we had in California but it was large and the meat was tender! Sofrito Latin Cafe should definitely be on the top of your list when visiting the Lake Buena Vista area! I went here for dinner with my boyfriend yesterday and we both ordered the Skirt Steak with rice, beans, Yuca, and tostones on the side! The flavor of everything was excellent. The highlight of the meal for me was the fried Yuca and the chimichurri sauce that accompanied the skirt steak. Aside from the food, the service was fantastic! Everyone was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was also very inviting and they even had a community bookshelf right as you entered the restaurant! I will definitely be coming back and trying other items on the menu! 4 stars instead of 5 because some of the sides came out lukewarm instead of hot. read more

Stopped by for a quick lunch. As we entered the establishment we waited in line, we were not greeted so we just assume you waited in line. But no they have these self checkout monitors like everywhere else now a days. The girl didn't bother to tell us so we had a ton of people that just jumped right in front of us so we had to wait. As I was trying to find what I wanted I ask the girl and she just ignored my question. I know she heard me because she looked dead at me. Anyways I figured it out and ordered the Patacon and my wife ordered the Columbian burger and a side of fries because it doesn't come with fries. So basically you buy everything separate they have no combos which the burger alone was around $12! and the fried around $3 and you don't get very much it being a side order. No one told us we had to get our on utensils by the door which was also weird it was like help your self lunch room/cafeteria style. Nonetheless the food was coming out pretty quickly. My wife like the burger but she had no choice as to how she wanted the meat cooked she said it was a bit over cooked. As for my food it was a GIANT round piece of platano with pork and bit of lettuce and tomatoes (Not much as all) and a tiny bit of the Aji Garlic so it was pretty dry. The platano was extremely hard to eat because it was SUPER hard. The seasoning on the pork was good but honestly that was about it. I wouldn't go back and here is why. 1. They are not friendly at all 2. The food was just overly cooked 3. They give you no direction as you walk in about ordering or where to get your utensils you are on your own to figure it out. And they are way to over price for what you get. So if you want to really eat here I suggest you get something that will not be over cooked like a salad but you may be charged for each topping separately lol. I really wanted to like this place but it was a blah for me. read more

We visited Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs, and this was definitely one of my favorite meals while in Orlando. We started with the White Peach Sangria, the Church Lady Deviled Eggs, and the Bacon-Wrapped Shrimp. Now those shrimp deserve their own moment. They're tossed in house-made hot honey and served with remoulade, and they were SO good. Sweet, a little heat, salty from the bacon... just a really good combination. For dinner, we shared Art's Famous Fried Chicken and the Meatloaf Main Plate. The fried chicken is buttermilk-brined for 24 hours and came with creamy mashed potatoes and a cheddar drop biscuit. The chicken was seasoned, juicy, crispy... exactly what fried chicken is supposed to be. And the meatloaf surprised me because I don't usually go somewhere like this thinking, "Let me order the meatloaf." But I'm glad we did. It came with mashed potatoes, Southern green beans, and that cheddar drop biscuit. Comfort food done RIGHT. Everything we had was good. Not "it was okay" good. I mean we were sitting there eating, sharing plates, and talking about how good everything was. And apparently it was good enough for me to completely forget I do food reviews and should probably take pictures first. Chef Art Smith's Homecomin' at Disney Springs... I'll definitely be back.

We were staying at a Holiday Inn near Disney Springs so we decided to come here for a late dinner. One of the best decisions made here. We did a late night walk through the shopping center and landed here around 9:50 pm. It was pretty late and we worried there would be no seats but we were seated promptly. The establishment was very ambient, cozy, and well furnished. I liked the warm, glowing atmosphere of the restaurant. The server was extremely polite and took our order quite soon. We were starving after a long day but the food came out in around 20ish minutes which wasn't too bad. The serving sizes were quite huge. We didn't expect this much food for two portions. For $34 per plate, the dishes were large and came with a large helping of sides. The fried chicken was extremely crispy and juicy. They originally wanted to serve the food quickly/more fresh so they served a chicken thigh to me after on a second plate. They also forgot my substitution of Mac n cheese for mash potatoes so I got a free helping of mash which was sweet. The pickled cucumber was light and fresh which tasted great with the heavier chicken. The potatoes were a little heavy and I wish came with gravy, but still delicious. I really loved the Mac n cheese and finished that up. The chicken steak was also delicious with the grits but a little too salty. Wish they added the grits to the side for me to dip as it became a little too much at times. It was better to eat it with a side of potatoes to balance the flavor. The broccolini was sautéed perfectly and delicious, could eat a whole plate of those alone. The biscuits weren't bad but tasted better eaten with the potatoes. The food was a little heavy but so so good. We had to take half of the food to our hotel and ate it the next day for dinner as it was way too much food for one meal. Even after microwaving it, the food was just as delicious and flavorful. We spent about $80 but had so much food leftover. An expensive dinner, but everything tasted amazing. Would definitely come back if I had the chance.

This was a very popular spot on a Saturday afternoon. We walked into a packed dining/bar area and…read morenoticed a sign stating that the patio would be closed off for a private event for Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month. We later saw them setting up tents and a bounce house. It looked really fun. We found ourselves a spot near the perimeter of the room and began reviewing the menu. There are a lot of varied options available to please any palate. We are at a brewing company, but I don't really like beer, so I opted for the Pirate's Punch cocktail. It was fruity and very reminiscent of a classic rum punch. Hubby likes light beer, so he ordered the 16oz Celebration Light Lager at the suggestion of our server, Missy. He enjoyed it very much. The vibe was very casual, social and fun. They have table and board games available for you to play with friends and I'm pretty sure that had the patio been open, they had some outdoor games available as well. There was music playing and folks talking and celebrating birthdays, so it was a little loud, but not annoyingly so. It was very upbeat and sunny to match the beautiful day. I was torn between The Big Salad, which my body was so desperately craving, and the Queens Calzone, my heart's desire! So you know I had to order both, and I topped the salad with grilled salmon! What?! We were on vacation! I'm not sure if the salad was big, or if the plate was just small, but I ate half of it there and took the other half home. The salmon was cooked nicely and the salad and dressing was refreshing. The calzone was crisp on the outside, but the cheese wasn't quite melted on the inside. I took a couple of "taster bites" but opted to take the rest home to be reheated and properly melted. I shared some with my husband as well and he observed that the bites just weren't balanced. I agreed. One bite was a stack of chopped ham and nothing else. Another would be completely different. I wish the filling would've been mixed and spread throughout so that you could get some of everything in each bite. I was most impressed by what my husband ordered. I don't mean to toot my own horn, but he loves my cooking so much that restaurant fare does not usually float his boat. He ordered the Korean Noodle Bowl with Shrimp and he absolutely loved it! I noticed at least two other people at surrounding tables having that dish as well, so it must be popular. He loved the level of heat and flavor. He wanted to "dog it down" but saved a small portion for me to try later, just as research and development for me to reverse engineer it and create for him at home! I love the challenge and the inspiration. Any meal that can impress him gets two thumbs up from me! He felt that it needed a little something on the side, so he also ordered some crostini for dipping. They sell beer steins, stickers, buttons, hats, t-shirts, etc. and we saw some t-shirts that we liked (Oktoberfest themed), so we grabbed those as well. They ran us about $30 each, but it will help us commemorate our time in the area. Overall, we enjoyed some good food in a fun atmosphere and would definitely return if ever in the area again.

You can tell that the servers here take pride in what they do and it consistently shows. It is the only brewery within about 20-30 minutes. It is right off of I-4, has plenty of parking and if you have an EV, there are charging stations in their parking lot. It has been a while since I reviewed this brewery and I can honestly say Celebration Brewing is one of my favorites. Heck, it is the only brewery anywhere near Disney. Celebration Brewing Company is no different from anything in life, eventually it has to change. Some changes have made me happy, while others have left me both sad, disappointed and confused. Mostly sad though. Let's start with all the great things they have going on here. First, this is like a restaurant which has great craft beer, specialty cocktails, wine and spirits. I wouldnt say a full bar, but they can accomplish most mixed drinks and have a few specialty cocktails of their own. There is both inside and outside seating and plenty of it, as well as seating at the bar. As far as decor, the BEER sign is iconic. There are so many photos opportunities here. And, despite what I am about to say, Celebration Brewing Co is a solid 4 stars consistently. Now I will talk about some of my personal concerns about the brewery. This is my whine time disclaimer. To start, the food has been hit or miss, but mostly a hit. Their burgers and wings are consistently good. They do change their menu as places do from time to time and the things I really loved about the last menu were recently swapped for less tasty versions. To be exact, the pasta and pizza are not as good. And there is one pizza they had called JAMMIN (absolutely amazing) which they changed to FiG Etabouitit. The latter has a similar combination of ingredients, but is lacking and pales in comparison to the original. The new version is just overly sweet, while JAMMIN was savory, sweet and well balanced. You could actually taste the fig jam before, while the new version legit just tastes like honey. They told me it had fig jam on it, but unless the fig jam they are using now is mostly honey, I am not buying it. The new version is a fail. Lastly, they brew a lot of decent beer here which tastes like what it should be. The Belgians are not as good as I remember, but everything else from lagers to stouts to IPAs, decent representation. Every once in a while though, they come up with some bangers which I absolutely fall in love with (Like GINGY SNAPS), but when I return they have moved onto some other innovative beer. Leaving me feeling like that kid whose parents got divorced and it's all my fault (because I didnt support that beer as consistently as I should). So that is my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

Sofrito Latin Café offers a delightful escape into the vibrant and rich world of Latin American flavors. Located in a cozy, inviting space, the restaurant captures the essence of Latin cuisine with a modern twist. The atmosphere is casual yet lively, with bright decor that instantly transports you to a warm, tropical destination. The menu is a celebration of Latin American staples, featuring a mix of classic and innovative dishes. The mofongo is a standout--fried plantains mashed to perfection and paired with savory meats or seafood, making for a comforting and flavorful dish. The arroz con pollo (rice with chicken) is another favorite, with tender, seasoned chicken and a perfectly cooked rice base that's rich in flavor. For appetizers, the tostones (crispy fried green plantains) served with a tangy garlic dipping sauce are addictive, and the empanadas are equally delicious, with a crispy exterior and savory fillings. The salsa bar offers a nice variety of dipping sauces that complement the bold flavors throughout the meal. One of Sofrito's highlights is its cocktail selection, with expertly crafted mojitos, margaritas, and their signature Sofrito Punch, all featuring fresh ingredients and a strong Latin flair. It's the perfect way to start the meal or end it with a sweet note. Service is warm and attentive, with staff offering helpful recommendations and a genuine enthusiasm for the food they serve. Prices are reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a great option for both casual outings and special occasions. Overall, Sofrito Latin Café is a must-visit for anyone looking to explore the bold, flavorful world of Latin cuisine. With a mix of delicious food, refreshing drinks, and a welcoming ambiance, it's easy to see why this place is a favorite for many. read more

Staff at Sofrito have asked me to write a review. Here it is: We was attracted by the name "Sofrito", especially because my two companions are actually Puerto Rican and they were craving for Puerto Rican food. First thing we asked was for the famous Mofongo, they said that they have it. We ordered a Shrimp mofongo and a Pork mofongo, myself I ordered Roast Pork. While we wait for it we got some empanadas that were delicious, and other appetizers really good. When we got the entrees there was the problem. The mofongo was cold and we doubt about it that it was made on premises. About my roast pork, I was not able to eat it. I try a couple of pieces and I left it in the plate almost untouched. I have never had such a hard rock pieces of pork with a microwave reheated test. Because I am honest i told the server right away. We ended up not eaten our entrees because my companions had similar issues. I was drinking beer and my companions coconut soda. Because the bad test of the food was in our mouth before we left, we ask for one coconut soda to wash it down. We paid our bill in full, even if we did not eat the food, and we left. Can you believe that they rushed out asking us to pay for the last can of soda? Obviously this people does not have any restaurant experience ! Any restaurant if you leave the food untouched will have some kind of compensation, some others will not even charge you for the food you did not eat !. But they didn't care ! they still want to get paid 1,50 for the soda. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

Lunch at Sofritos was nothing short of spectacular, just as it always is. From the moment we stepped in, the inviting atmosphere and the rich aromas of the kitchen set the tone for what would be a delightful culinary experience. We kicked off our meal with some refreshing bubbly that sparkled in our glasses, adding a celebratory touch to the occasion. The standout dish was undoubtedly the delightful croquetas. Each bite was a perfect blend of creamy, savory goodness, and they were complemented by a zesty dipping sauce that intensified the flavors. But the real highlight was the amazing arepa. Stuffed to perfection, it was a harmonious mix of textures and flavors that transported us straight to culinary bliss. The warmth of the arepa coupled with the fresh ingredients made it feel like a warm embrace on a plate. As we enjoyed our light lunch, we exchanged stories and laughter, feeling rejuvenated and energized for the rest of the day. There's something incredibly uplifting about a meal shared with good company, and nothing beats the vibrant charm of Sofritos to kickstart our afternoon. #Florida #Orlando #yelpelite #sofritoslatincafe read more

I went to Sofrito Latin Cafe for lunch today and had an incredible experience. This place knows how to make real Latin food that hits all the right spots - everything was fresh, flavorful, and made you feel like family. I tried the churrasco steak with yuca and maduros. The steak was perfectly grilled with a nice char on the outside but still juicy inside. It came with this amazing chimichurri sauce that had just the right amount of garlic and herbs. The yuca was creamy and buttery, and those sweet plantains were caramelized to perfection. Even though it was busy during lunch rush, the energy was positive and welcoming. What impressed me was the attention to detail. My coffee came in a proper cup and saucer, the bread was warm, and everything was seasoned perfectly. You can taste the difference when people take pride in their cooking. For $19, I got a huge meal that was restaurant quality but felt homemade. I'm already telling my friends about this place - it's exactly what Orlando needs more of. read more

We visited this place three years ago and had a fantastic experience, so we were excited to return. Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. When we ordered lunch to go, we encountered several issues during pickup, but we assumed it was just a one-time problem. We decided to give it another try and came in for dinner today. Sadly, things only got worse. Winni took our order incorrectly, was noticeably rude, and overcharged us. When we asked her to correct the mistake, she responded with an attitude rather than an apology. When the food finally arrived, it was extremely bland and lacked any flavor. To top it off, we ordered dessert, but it was never brought out--we had to specifically ask for it. Overall, this visit was nothing like our first and left us very disappointed. We do not recommend this place anymore. read more

For starters, don't expect a server, you order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Ordered a steak dish and the pice was small and dry after I wanted it cooked medium. The small piece I got was $15 for lunch. *Important - Do not take your significant other to this place! Gentleman at the counter kept pushing salsa dance lessons and after 3 times of my wife telling him no thank you, he asked if she was Puerto Rican and then followed that up with asking if her and I were together. Seriously guy? Unbelievable experience, my wife and I will not be back. read more

I live in Texas and know my way around Mexican food and Tex-Mex, but I came in expecting something different. The restaurant is beautiful, the service was good, and we were well taken care of. The food, overall, was just okay for me, with a few highlights. The queso fundido was excellent. Great flavor, plus those long strings of cheese that turn eating into a small arts-and-crafts project. There were three of us, and it arrived with exactly three tortillas. The tortilla-to-person math was flawless. The tortilla-to-cheese ambition needed work. We asked for more, and they were quickly brought over, so consider this your friendly tip to request extras. I didn't need a huge entrée, so I went with the chicken flautas. These were really good, although the chicken had an unexpectedly creamy texture. Not what I anticipated, but I liked it. My bigger issue was the pile of extras on top. At some point, I wanted to politely ask the toppings to step aside so I could taste my flautas. Also, try the mango-infused iced tea. Really refreshing in the Florida heat, and one of my favorite parts of the meal. Apparently, I came for Rick Bayless and left thinking about tea. I'm glad I tried it. Beautiful setting, good service, excellent queso, and some enjoyable bites, but the meal as a whole didn't leave me eager to return. With so many other restaurants to explore, I'd probably try somewhere else next time.

The bartender was a bit serious that's why I gave this place a 4, yet in his defense it was only 2 bartenders for a full house so it bot have been overwhelming. It was conveniently located nearby and turned out to be a wonderful breakfast stop. The atmosphere was cozy, welcoming, and relaxing, which was exactly what we needed in the morning. The staff gave us such a warm welcome and were very patient while we took our time looking through the menu and deciding what to order. For drinks, we ordered the 3 Mocha, a cappuccino, and a matcha latte, and everything tasted great. The mocha in particular was excellent, it had such a rich, naturally delicious flavor that it honestly didn't need any additional sweetness. For breakfast, we ordered the Breakfast Club, Avocado & Egg Salad Sandwich, and Mushroom Avocado & Vegan Sausage Breakfast Burrito. Everything was delicious, and the portions were excellent and very satisfying. There was a great variety of flavors across the dishes, and everyone at the table found something they really enjoyed. Overall, Moma's Cafe was a great breakfast experience from start to finish. Between the cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff, delicious drinks, and generous portions, it's definitely a place we would happily return to the next time we're in the area. A breakfast spot worth repeating!

The restaurant looked like it was only at half capacity (seating). The cashier was polite/friendly. It's sad to see a restaurant turn away customers. There were at least 8 parties that came and left because they didn't want to wait. I guess for a business that's a good problem to have. ‍ Giving three stars because the ambiance was nice, cashier seemed friendly, menu had a nice selection for brunch, speciality drinks/coffee. Next time I'm in town and try the food I can give additional two stars if the food is worth it.

We got out table right away and we received chanchita chulpi immediately. It was really good because it tasted very fresh. The order took a bit longer than expected and I noticed that it happened to all the tables. I tried the makis acevichados. The taste was good, but they are not the peruvian makis I have tried for years in Peru. This was something different, but still good. The tacu tacu with lomo saltado, though. It was really good. I liked when it comes with a tick sauce instead of just water. The tacu tacu may have needed to get crispy a little bit, but the flavor was amazing. Finally, they only have option of glass of chicha morada. The taste was really good, I could feel the spices.
