We got the meat platter delivered. It was very disappointing. I usually don't bother to leave a review, but I wouldn't eat here again. The roasted veggie was a half a tomato and a pepper, the gyro meat was cheap, kafte like a burger patty, a small/tiny side of tzataiki, a warm salad with no olive oil dressing, and one pita. It was $30 ? If you have a choice, go to Mediterranean deli on 5th st in wpb or souvlaki grill. Not trying to be a Karen, but this was of terrible value. read more

Unfortunately, the Mediterranean food had no flavor and was sort of a plain kind of taste on the pallet. There was no spice infused into the meat and we love the layers of delicious Greek spices you would normally get. The food wasn't so great. I love the food. They were overwhelmed and understaffed. Lovely people, it took hours to get our meal. A table for 9 came in and got served and we were obviously forgotten until I said something and they got us our dinners. The place was packed and they had two people for a packed and fairly large place. I felt so bad for our waitress, totally not her fault. She was clearly thrown to the wolves. The owner needs to figure out how to hire and keep good people because I really want to love this place. It basically took from 6:30 until 9 PM to go and have a plate of falafel. I mean seriously, I literally remained patient for hours before I finally got annoyed. They comped a few drinks because I told them I'm only drinking so much because I have no dinner. They do have some lovely vegan appetizers and quite a few dishes that could be made vegan by substituting the meat with falafel, but a plate of falafel should not take three hours. Because they obviously care and did not want things to be as they were I will try them again but I'll stand outside and watch for a few minutes to see what kind of night they're having before I decide to go in. Last time I reviewed this place I had it to go and gave 5 stars, eating in I'll do 3 because the food is good but the service was mostly non existent, but for the occasional apology. read more

We stopped in for lunch on a rainy weekday. Not too many people, but it was a weekday, and they just opened. Around 3 more parties arrived within the hour. The food was very good. It's Greek/Mediterranean. I had a chicken parm sandwich. My friends had some Greek soup and chicken platter. We shared the Greek salad, which was good, not great, but I'm from NY, so biased. The owner gave us some hummus on the house and it was delicious along with the pita squares. We also had some dessert- baklava and pudding. It was just okay. He surprised us with 3 appetizers and tea on the house as well as challenged me with a double burger patty after I ate all the appetizers. His serving portions are huge. Wonderfully Memorable dining experience! My family & I had the pleasure of having dinner at Sofra a couple nights ago. We were immediately greeted by a friendly & smiling staff. We were affected by the beautiful, angelic background music - so serene & complementary to the nice decor & wonderful food. We ordered the Greek burgers, lamb chops, grilled octopus & calf liver-all super-delicious & bursting w/flavor. Lastly, we all agreed that the price-point is very fair - especially considering the generous portion-size! One of the best spots on Lake Ave. The chef is not only extremely skilled, but also super nice, hooking us up with some complimentary post-meal tea and cheesecake. Wanted to give this restaurant a try because it was brand new and seemed to have plenty of options to choose from. We got the vegetable panini and falafel pita to go and it took 27 min when the restaurant wasn't very busy. The staff was super friendly but the food was mediocre. This place is getting only 2 stars due to the service. It took us 1.5hrs to get our food at a 6pm reservation. The server never came back to our table even once while we waited/ never refilled our water glasses, nothing. We also sat down before the table behind us and yet we were waited on after them and their order went it before ours... my kids who are little were served their food approx 30mins Before us and by the time the food finally came out it was a s**t show for us all to rush and eat so they didn't get super stir crazy. The food was ok. I got the branzino fish and it didn't have much flavor. The French fries and hummus were the best things we received. I would say if you want Turkish food just order as pick up and skip wasting your evening sitting here like we did. read more

I can't say enough about this place!!! Love love love!! My friend has a soy allergy and all of their chicken is pre-marinated so they made a batch of brand new fresh chicken!!! So yummy!! My wife and I just returned from having a wonderful lunch at Sofra in Lake Worth. The restaurant was right on the corner, excellent location of an up and coming area filled with restaurants. The food was authentic Turkish and excellent! Lentil soup-Wow! Pita Bread-Wow! Rice, salad and Yogurt-excellent. The wrap and entrees are worth the drive. Service outstanding and professional. Ok, we first ate there for a business dinner. Everyone loved it. Since then we've been there 3 times. The best Turkish food I have had. We spent 18 days in Turkey several years ago and the food was not this good. Pay no attention to the description on yelp as this is not a Greek restaurant. Very different! Everything that was here at the table was shared and everything was fantastic; The kebabs were to die for and the home baked gyro was not the usual fare. We finished with the best pistachio baklava you've ever eaten. After the meal you are served Turkish tea free of charge. What a wonderful meal. For those who are concerned about eating Middle Eastern food they also have an Italian menu. read more

Like other say in the reviews the menu has a Greek/Turkish side and an Italian side. My Mother was Sicilian so I grew up on Italian food so I opted for the Greek/Turkish side of the menu. I had the simple vegan falafel on pita with onions and some greens with a side of french fries. The food was delicious, flavorful & fresh. My Love had the beef gyro with a small Greek salad also very good. Of course we had to try each other's dish, it was the first time we had a beef gyro, it was way better then the usual lamb gyro. We spoke to our waitress regarding the beef instead of the standard Lamb Gyro, she said they will have lamb gyros after the grand opening. They serve them now, but only on Sunday's. Went here with a dozen friends for a Birthday dinner. The food was very good. Service was abysmal. Our appetizers as well as our entrees were served piecemeal over the course of 2 hours! Several appetizers were forgotten and had to be asked for again. Some entrees were served before the appetizers. Even then 3 in our party weren't served their entrees. One of which was a calzone and one a pizza. Actually only two were never served. One's pizza was served after we complained and asked for the check. It was boxed and taken home. During the two hours 4 deliveries went out the door, at least 3 appeared to include pizzas. Also there appeared to be problems at a couple of the other patrons tables as well. The manager's response was, "What am I supposed to do about it?" He was there the whole time so he had to have known what was going on. After ruining our friends Birthday dinner none of us will be going back. read more
