This is one of my favorite eateries in DTA. The food is good, & although there's not an abundance of seating you can take your food down to the waterfront for great scenery. Unfortunately we were there over a busy boat show weekend, and the staff may have been task saturated because a couple of them were really rude. How rude? We were sitting outside one of the kitchen windows at one of their tables, and got a blow by blow commentary critiquing their customers' choices. (Including mine. "Oh god.. Another godfather crepe? Passing through Annapolis, I will stop anywhere with crepes. This was a cute little (emphasis on LITTLE) shop that serves customized crepes, savory and sweet. I went with the godfather and waited about 7 minutes. The queue system is a little awkward, there's no seating or waiting area so everyone is kind of huddled around the register because most of the outside tables are always taken. They have imported sodas and juices too. My crepe was delicate and delicious, but because there was no seating I had to wander around the harbor and look for a spot to sit, which wasn't a big deal just a little annoying. read more

Great, great food. You may at first think it is a little pricy for a crepe. However, you will be more than satisified, when all is said and done. The crepes are delicious and very filling, not to mention huge. They are served in a wrap made for eating and walking or you can sit outside at one of their cafe tables. Definitely not your run of the mill establishment. Inside- The inside of this place is extremely small. Last time I was here, there were maybe 8 others waiting for their food and it seemed incredibly crowded. We now send a representative inside while others sit and wait outside, preferably near the window to enjoy the delicious smells. Seating- Good luck. There are a few sets of tables and chairs outside, but they go quickly. Location- Literally across the street from the Naval Academy. Unfortunately it is not located near any of the garages, for those of us stopping in Annapolis for a quick visit. Wait times- Because things are made to order, it can take a while. Especially when others (or your party) order several. Making crepes is an art, and art takes quite a bit of time! Crepes- simply amazing. I'm partial to the reuben and smore myself. All of them I've tried have been delicious. Despite many things going against this place, it is still a location I dream about visiting. I have been a fan of Sofi's for a long time now. I was so excited to see they were putting one in my hometown!! As much as I am always a fan of the original and get fearful of special little places losing their luster once they expand, this is not the case with Sofi's! Sofi's Crepes is in a little house down by the city dock. There are tables outside only. Inside it is small with no seating, which is fine. The old black and white tile floor is cute. What's with the wall of keys, though? One wall is covered with keys hanging from hooks, and some of the hooks are empty. The menu has enough variety but is not cluttered and confusing. You order at the counter and can watch your crepe being made. I had the Nutella crepe and the mozzarella crepe with basil and tomato. The flavors of the crepes overall are good. Ironically, the weakest link is the crepe itself. It's too rubbery, bland and doesn't have enough egg in it. There's also too much crepe for the fillings, kind of like when you get a sandwich with a huge bun. I would recommend making the dessert crepes smaller, because the Nutella crepe had uneven blobs of Nutella like they're trying to stretch the fillings. I would have also liked thicker, freshly cut tomato in the mozzarella crepe, not tiny little tired diced bits. At least it seems like they're making an effort to serve fresh ingredients. With some tweaks to the crepe batter and crepe/filling ratio, this place would be on its way. read more

Crepe's were good, lots of options. I left with a nice warm apple pie crepe. I will definitely be coming back for that, if not one of the many other delicious options. So why the 3 stars? This place is good, but not drive-out-of-my-way-to-get-there good. The only reason I have had these crepes is because I was down at the docks. Only went here one time, but the banana + nutella crepe was exactly what I hoped it would be--delicious, gooey, warm, and overstuffed. They also package crepes in a smart way, allowing you to walk around and eat it without becoming a sticky mess. The place, though teeny tiny, also smells AMAZING, so I didn't mind waiting for them to freshly make my order (it only took around 6 minutes). 2 1/2 because I have had stellar crepes before and these couldn't stack up. See what I did there? Crepes are heavenly and make me want to sign up for a marathon just so that I can carb binge on them the night before. But until then I will have to settle for one crepe as the occasional treat. I had a peanut butter and nutella crepe: Mmm nutella. mm peanut butter. But too much PB so I found it dificult to eat without spillage. My companion had a peanut butter and strawberry crepe, it was fine but also messy. The texture of the crepe was my issue, it was bordering on rubbery and missing the luxious melt in your mouth experience I have come to love. But it was warm and sweet and provided quite a bit of good energy for us while we walked the Naval Academy to get in a daily dossage of eye candy. read more

Nutella crepes--I could eat one every day. The staff is extremely friendly and competent (which is very important when you're dealing with crepes). The options are great and it is so cheap! The cinnamon sugar one was good, and I've had the bacon and cheese one as well which was good as well. When they wrap them up in the foil, they get molten so be careful when you eat it!! read more

Curb appeal caused us to step in and check out the menu - we liked what we saw. We tried three different crepes: Thanksgiving, Traditional, Huevos Rancheros. The fillings were flavorful and generous. But it was the crepe itself that is most memorable - eggy, subtly sweet, and paper thin. A small but significant touch is that they fold their crepe exactly as it's done on the streets of Paris. I got the Nutella crepe ... Pretty standard, came out quick so I appreciated the short wait because I was hungry and needed some crepe in my belly. It had a nice taste to it (I mean, how can Nutella be bad?) but I found myself utterly confused by the wrapping. It wasn't very conducive to unwrapping and eating on the go, since it doesn't fold/roll down easily. Plus the crepe is a bit floppy so it doesn't stand upright very well .. So it was a bit of a messy affair. And for something mobile-unfriendly, the limited seating also complicates that option. For the price, not bad. Maybe I missed it, but I do wish that they would give the option of different add-ins (like strawberries and Nutella? YUM.). Overall, a resounding shrug and "yeah, it's alright ... Sofi's Crepes is a rare find! I grew up with a French grandmother preparing delicious crepes and this place transports me back home. Admittedly its hard to find good quality French or Italian food in Maryland after growing up in Boston and residing in NYC. Sofi's Crepes however represents great tasting food that is comforting, affordable, and convenient. Everyone can find something they like here and its a great place for dessert. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the service can vary. Sometimes they have young people working behind the counter that seem annoyed and you can't tear them away from their conversation. We went for dinner tonight and the service was amazing as well as the crepes. Hubby got "Kevin Bacon" and I ordered "The Mozz". Both were very flavorful and yummy. We ordered "Bananarama" for dessert and it was yummy as well. The only compliant is that there is no seating. Apparently they have some seating outside but when it's chilly or cold out than its not fun to eat outside.
