Fist impressions (front desk), experience was not welcoming. -The two young individuals were distracted and unwelcoming. -I arrived with a Groupon and the young man insisted that the code was not on the Groupon coupon I printed, it is ! "You do no need to touch my phone," I redeem my own Groupons. - I arrived at 7pm and asked front desk if it was the 7pm class in progress , he says "yes!" ... it was not ! It was the 6pm class wrapping it up. - I asked whom the dance instructor is? He did not know her name. -front desk young man continuously asked me to repeat myself, I asked that he remove his air pods and he said it was the music hindering his hearing. I turn 45 in March and that makes it TRIPLY hard to make friends. It took finding a Groupon in December to get the proverbial ball rolling, but my mental hygiene has improved immensely. Jennifer is a wonderful teacher, and I appreciate how she encourages you to assert yourself. I'm still VERY basic, but I'm happy to stay in my lane and keep showing up because my end goal is to cultivate community and feel more at home in my new hood. Unless you pay big bucks for private lessons and multiple classes, you won't be looked at as a dancer. My instructor gave me feedback while texting most of the class that I am paying good money for. When drama happens at the dance school, they take it out on the students. A situation happened where end result was that the 2 adult dancers, myself included, representing the school at a major competition, not 1 teacher or family of the teachers would come to watch and support us. It's highly unprofessional and made my decision at regionals to transfer schools. School keeps losing students, you get reprimanded if you post something negative on social media thats not in the favor of the school, even though you are no longer affiliated with them. It's sad. Please go elsewhere where you are treated better! Take your money elsewhere where they don't have mandatory workshops hours on end that are additional cost.

It's also located in the heart of the Irish district in Yonkers. While there, I had an opportunity to meet the owner/instructor, Meagan. She was so sweet and obviously a very esteemed dancer (a professional dancer that competes worldwide and is TCRG certified). I also caught a few performances she gave during the grand opening and I was truly impressed. Lessons also seem to be very very reasonable, especially compared to NYC prices which are 4x the amount!

Smaller and more intimate setting, which I truly appreciate. The class descriptions are detailed. I came in for exactly what I wanted. Instructor gave modifications and gave insight on what body part this workout was using. I checked in at the front desk, very smooth check in. The facility is one large room. There are 2 restroom. The lockers in the back have keys attached so no need to bring your own lock. Looking forward to check out the rest of the schedule.
