The machines are on the older side, but all the ones I used worked very well! Also, the gym was very organized and it seemed like everyone put their weights back after use. The receptionist was also very kind and answered all my questions! Also, their prices are very reasonable. The gym does include parking in their memberships as well, and the parking lot is across the street (it is a municipal parking lot). Amazing gym!

You're either going to either feel out of place, intimidated, overwhelmed or embrace its grittiness and appreciate the atmosphere. Daro's Extreme Fitness isn't a gym for everyone. It's gritty, it's ugly, its no frills its more for people who just want to get in there, do their work and then get the heck out. Basically, it's a gym for the "hardcore". For the people who want to work out then scram. For the bodybuilders, for the athletes, for the ones who can embrace hard work in an ugly environment. Personally, I don't have a problem with this but if you're someone who needs tanning, towel service, flat screen t.v.'s, Zumba classes, who needs to be accommodated with more "finer things", then this isn't the place for you. Equipment: This place has all the bare essential needs for your weight lifting pump. The machines are great, work well and there's several types of machines for every part of your body. Some of the dumbbells might look rusty and old but they serve their purpose as much as any brand new dumbbells, and personally, I like thay they look like that. In addition to the machines and weights, there's a little fitness bar/jungle gym in the middle of this place for all your body weight exercises. There's a boxing bag and kick boxing bag, and towards the back, there's a pro-wrestling gym. Yes, pro -wrestlers get trained here. Of course there's treadmills, bikes, and all the good stuff for your cardio needs. Facility: Okay, this place is ugly like I mentioned before. There's nothing pretty about this place at all. Its dark, dim, industrial and grimy looking. It looks like they are trying to fix the place up more or they were trying but just put down all the home improvement tools and finished halfway. Its medium sized, so you won't feel cramped and the place doesn't seem to ever get too packed even during the busiest of hours. The locker room is spacious enough to change but my gripe is the bathroom. Like I said, I don't mind the grittiness but the bathroom is ridiculous. Its very small, very cramped and looks all shoddy. The toilet and sink work but the shower has no curtain....So yeah, I don't know how to go about that. The bathroom is good just for one person, its VERY, VERY small. I don't got to the gym for the music but like almost any gym these days, get prepared to hear top 40 crap and if a lot of Dominicans are in the house, they'll pump up some of that crappy bachata-merengue mixes.This is not important to me for I block out the music but if it is to you, bring your headphones, MP3 and own music. There's also a small lounge area if you're waiting for someone, with a pool table. Staff/People: This is one of the things I really enjoyed about the gym. The people who worked here were super nice and made me feel like I was apart of a great group of friends and answered all the questions I asked with no problem. They definitely try to make you feel welcomed and comfortable, so that means a lot to me. And the people who come to this gym seem cool. Yeah, its a "real gym" but no one really tries to be the king of the hill. No ego's here. Pricing: I was able to get information on membership cost before I get to that, if you just want to come in for a day and workout, its 5 dollars, NOT BAD! And if you want to do some pro wrestling training, its 10 dollars. Here's the membership fees (the numbers are the cost). 1 month=$35, 2 months=$60, 3 months=$90, 6 months=$120. There's 2 one year memberships but its goes like this, 1=$75 dollars BUT you have to pay a dollar every time you come to workout instead of 5 dollars a day for if you were to do a walk in. 1 year=249 dollars and covers everything. In essence, if you live in the Bronx and close to the area, and just want to workout somewhere that's not expensive, if you're the type of person that goes to a gym just to workout, then this is the place for you. If you want a tan, spa, towel service, oil body rubs, flat screen t.v. pristine, shiny sparkly place, classes and many more, then this place won't do you justice. Overall, its a good gym, good atmosphere and it can more than get the job done. CrossFit Eastchester has all of those features of a top notch CrossFit box. The equipment is well maintained and they have all the essentials to get your WOD on. Now here is the part that makes this gym the best I've ever visited. The culture.The culture at this box is unreal. I'm in the Army and we stress command climate and unit culture and it takes years to perfect or get it right. Some units will never get it right until new leaders take over or the whole organization has a massive turn over. CrossFit northeast has a culture of respect, camaraderie, professionalism, fitness, and most importantly fun. Everyone from the instructors to your fellow athletes have bought into the culture created at this gym. I am continually impressed by this gym day in and day out. Each coach has their own approach in assisting all athletes of all levels continually improve. Furthermore, ALL the staff pay in side-by-side with the athletes. Once a class ends they chalk up and put the f*** up. It's reassuring to see they are not only human but can execute everything they teach in class. Last but not least, the programming is top tier. I was home for a good chunk of leave and needed a spot to do my programming (Thor 3 & Mountain tactical) and I decided on CrossFit Northeast Eastchester. It was clear on day one the programming at the gym blew my prescribed workout plan out of the water. I was truly humbled when I came to execute a class instead of execute my programming and I got dragged through the mud. I eventually changed over to just following CrossFit northeast's programming. All in all I recommend CrossFit northeast to anyone looking to improve their fitness. It doesn't matter if you're 18 or 80 everyone in this special community is part of a team which I've never seen before. If you're a beginner or seasoned vet looking for a change up this is the place to go and you won't regret it at all. #CommunityOverCompetition

They can meet you as early as 5am or as late as....whenever! Perfect spot for anyone wanting to improve their physique, recover from injuries or just plain improve your overall health ;) The gym is actually located in a medical office building within walking distance from the Metro North Station, so I actually took the train there after work (probably a 3 minute walk), but there is also a parking lot and plenty of metered parking (all free after 7pm) nearby. They give a free fitness assessment and one free training session just to give you an idea of their expertise :) Plus, there is a diner upstairs in the building, so you could probably grab a bite to eat after the workout. I love this place and would recommend their trainers to anyone! I'd strongly recommend my personal trainer there, Joseph Hunt, his knowledge on strength training and weight loss is awesome! Hunt helped me to tone up the extra 10 pounds I had gained over the summer and also corrected some painful back issues I had....mostly due to laziness and inactivity,lol. But he also focuses on medical exercise and Bootcamp training (small group exercise) for all ages and body types. You will always feel that you are part of a team and the motivation is constantly there to go longer, and harder despite what type of day you are having. The pros: Plenty of parking, small atmosphere, never have to worry about overcrowding, it is very clean so you don't have to worry about gross sweaty gym equipment, everyone is friendly, and you never have to feel subconscious about the way you look. Every time you workout you will get something different, and each workout will be an intense experience, leaving little room for boredom. The cons: Limited windows, so you may get tired of staring at walls while you workout and the locker room only has one available shower.
