I unexpectedly needed a few additional items boxed on moving day, and they handled everything without hesitation. Every item was packed and transported with great care. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing. The move into my new space was just as smooth as the move out of my old one. They carefully followed all of the building's rules for elevator use, placed furniture exactly where I requested, and neatly stacked boxes in the appropriate rooms. What impressed me most was their professionalism and attention to detail. They communicated clearly throughout the process, regularly checked to make sure I didn't have any questions, and truly went above and beyond to ensure everything was done right. Before leaving, they removed all of the packing materials they had used and left both my old and new homes clean and tidy. The entire move stayed on schedule and was remarkably efficient. I honestly could not have been happier with how smoothly everything went. The two movers assigned to my move were truly exceptional--kind, courteous, hardworking, and diligent professionals who clearly take great pride in their work. After talking to them, I knew I wanted to go with them. Their customer service, attention to details, and organization are 5-star levels. One thing that really stood out to me was that instead of asking me how many boxes I need, they asked me to send them pics of my place and stuff, and they calculated the number of small, medium and large boxes I need. It's so easy to underestimate and get a different price at the end. Also, I know I wanted packers because its speeds up the entire process of moving and settling in. I'm so glad I did with Roadway. It usually takes me over half a week to pack and be stressed for over a week, but Diego and his 3 teammates packed up our studio in 2-3 hours. They're so professional. They moved so quickly with care and accuracy. Most importantly, all my kitchen appliances were wrapped with care and delivered and arrived to my new apartment in the same condition. It took us about 2 hrs to settle in, and they once again unpacked most of the furnitures and reassembled them, making me feel settled in and relaxed. I cannot thank their team enough. They're all so polite, friendly and efficient. Within 1 day, I already feel 95% settled in. It's the easiest, stress-free moving experience I had in a while!

Before they even arrived, I got a tracking link to follow their location just like Uber, which immediately made me feel at ease. Crisanto and his crew showed up right on time and were incredible. They worked quickly but carefully, wrapping all of my furniture and somehow managing three giant mirrors without a single issue. Not one complaint and not one moment of stress. What really stood out was how above and beyond they went. They helped me figure out which part of my couch would actually fit in my space, laid out my rugs, and organized everything so I could still move around my studio comfortably. Also shoutout to one of the crew members who was on his first day. You truly could not tell. The whole team was professional, efficient, and just genuinely great to work with. She was always extremely responsive. Every question we asked was answered quickly and every email we received felt very reassuring. We haven't moved in a while and we had a lot of worries about moving to NY and hiring movers. But we could tell how competent they were even over email. For example, we realized the night before the move that we have a sunken in living room we did not mention before. We thought surely that will be an extra charge (and other movers might be very upset with us for not mentioning it!). We frantically emailed that they may want to bring a ramp or something. Olga responded, that is no problem. A lot of other companies also wanted an inventory of everything ahead of time, which we definitely didn't have. Olga said we could guesstimate and update her if anything changed. This was a lifesaver. When we updated along the way, she never seemed concerned that what we were adding was too much. We have friends who have used other moving companies, and they told us actual horror stories (e.g., movers not showing up, a million extra charges, needing every box to be accounted for before the move, things breaking, etc.). So when we were looking for movers, we were trying to avoid all of that. We decided to go with NY nomads because they were a small family business. Many of the big companies seem to be hit or miss - some people have okay experiences and some have really bad ones. There's a reason NY nomads have so many great reviews. They're kind, consistent, and professional. Djordje was friendly, great to talk to, and clearly very knowledgeable about moving and NYC. I was impressed with how quickly and efficiently they moved everything into the truck, and I was even more impressed with how they were able to park the truck right in front of our apartment. We have moved multiple times in east cost always use the same mover from NY. This time thought of trying a NJ based mover. Here are the issues 1.Lack of professional behavior. They came inside saw that entryway table had a few bills picked them up asked me which currency it is. 2. One of the kitchen packers opens lid of my spice box (I had leaves and chillies puts his nose in sniffs and asks what is it? 3. Packed every little thing in white wrapper so unpacking was hell. Single stainless steel spoon wrapped in 4 layers of packing . 4. Who does this .packing open can of bleach with groceries. While unpacking I saw white dust thought its paint once I hit end of box it was bleach so ended up throwing everything from that box. Which professional mover does that 5. Random packing. I had very organized closet but they picked random items and packed in diff boxes so i had box with sweaters pillow covers photo frames and belts all from diff parts of closet. LASTLY we were given pricing we paid that by bill and paid $800 extra over that without receipt as they demanded that they packed box. When vector gave me a quote it included 10 medium boxes $20 per box but the guys packed everything with white wrapper in kitten not one but 4 sheets and increased boxes packed to 30 , unethically charging us for small boxes stuffed with white paper. Please note it was a very painful experience and no one deserves this kind of billing or nonsense

He and his partner picks up any type of scrap metal for FREE(they then sell them to a scrap yard to recycle). I left him a message and he called me back within 10 minutes. He arrived the same day(alot of others i called wanted to stop by the next or even following day). He checked out what i had and agreed to come in the next morning to break them down(take them apart) and lug the machinery out before i opened my store. He was very courteous and professional. I was surprised to see He had a pocket calendar with his appointments. Im pretty sure that he will pick up scrap metal in all the nyc boroughs. I think its very hard to find someone in this industry who is as professional and courteous as he and his partner was. Now my store basement is clean and super organized!

Similar to other critical reviews, the actual crew who came to repair my sofa were fantastic. They arrived earlier than scheduled, were friendly, and completed the repair quickly and effectively. The workmanship was excellent, and I truly appreciate their professionalism. However, I'm giving this business 3 stars due to my disappointing experience with the manager. During our phone conversation, the manager was neither friendly nor accommodating. I had clearly stated my budget of $150-$200 for the repair, but after the work was completed--which only took 10-15 minutes--I was informed that the price was $250. This was not communicated to me beforehand, leaving me no opportunity to make an informed decision about whether to proceed. $250 was a steep price for the time and process it took for this repair. Additionally, I had specified multiple times during prior conversations that I wanted to pay by credit card. Unfortunately, when it came time to pay, my baby was crying, and in the chaos, I accidentally used the wrong payment method. I immediately asked to switch to my intended method, but my request was denied, even though this was a simple issue to resolve. While the quality of the actual repair was excellent, the lack of transparency and flexibility in customer service makes me hesitant to work with this business again. read more

Unfortunatelly i wont be able to give 5 stars. I had a sofa to disassamble and pack to send back to a store. Eric, the person that i kept in touch, asked me for pictures and measurement. I sent all info more then one time, and especific asked how I wanted the sofa to be packed for Fedex. Eric promised to follow the instructions and provide boxes and tape. Eric and I confirmed the appoitment one day before and on the same day. One hour before his guys arrived he texted saying that they were in their way, and 40 min later Eric said that they were running late. Long store short, I opened the door for them, explained the job for the 4th time and left. I was running 45 min late for my personal appt. The guys didnt know nothing about the job, and didnt have enough boxes. They packed in 3 parts, but in a very slopy way. Why bother to ask for pictures, measurement and information if is not to follow? Why agree with one thing and do another? Very stressful. I wont reccomend. read more

Second Review: Yet again, super super stellar service. These guys are really amazing. Still arrival delay issues & lacking communication/updates on timing, but overlooked considering how great the guys were who came and helped repair the legs of my sofa which I thought were irreparable. Professional and kind, and courteous. Will continue to use them with my MASSIVE (pun intended) sofa issues! First Review: These guys, really made moving a gigantic couch out of a tiny Manhattan apartment and in to an even tinier one (hi Shana) as simple as throwing a few decorative pillows on the thing. They took great care to ensure the couch and edges were covered for the entire process, didn't once hit the floor or walls unprotected. There was a slight delay with them getting to the starting location, granted, they did give me an hour-wide timeframe and came at the last minute of that timeframe so technically, still on time. I was visiting friends in Brooklyn and didn't lock the headboard frame, which bent and unfortunately wouldn't close the sofa. I reached out to one company who confirmed and then delayed it to the next day and then ghosted me. After reaching out to a few places and the furniture store, I got in touch with these guys who promised same-day service! They said they could be here between 2 and 3 and they got there just a tad earlier which was stellar! The two guys (whose names I forgot - I apologize) were extremely friendly and went to work right away. They kept figuring out a way to fix my issue and were done within half an hour! While the price wasn't what I was expecting, I learned it was a LOT cheaper than what other places were quoting me, plus it's New York City. They came through with same-day service and were nice on top of that. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who has a sofa bed issue! read more

AMAZING service!!! I have a 94" couch that is part of a sectional & I refused to part ways with. I contacted Mari at SOFA Disassembly & Movers via their customer service number & she requested photos. Once I sent the photos and measurements I received a very reasonable quote almost immediately... and it was for the next day (unlike other companies that had crazy fees & booked up schedules). The technicians arrived promptly within the scheduled time window, laid down tarps and got right to work. They had the couch in 2 pieces within an hour... and had it in my home, reassembled, looking exactly the same within another hour. The guys were very courteous, efficient, and professional. I am so very pleased with the service of Eric and his Team from my first contact with the company to completion of the small project. I needed to disassemble / assemble and move furniture between floors and Eric was professional and honest in his pricing for what I needed to accomplish after I sent him the pictures with descriptions of the pieces. Today the Team arrived on time and got to work right away. My beloved antique sofa and dresser they moved downstairs with so much care. The two beds were broken down and set up in no time at all. Great great job! I was terrified to use any of these companies. But, I was very impressed with the professionalism and workmanship of this company. I purchased a two piece sectional for my basement but it was too big and tall to fit through the basement door. They carefully disassembled my sectional and reassembled it. You would never know, looking at my sectional that it had been disassembled. It looks like new. The guys were polite, friendly and respectful. There were three guys, one skilled worker and two helpers. The gentleman that did the actual disassembly and reassembly, I wish I knew his name, was a perfectionist and really seem to care about the quality of his work. We found these amazing guys because some new neighbors next door couldn't fit their couch inside. We watched David and his partner disassemble their sofa (because we were sitting on the stoop watching in fascination) and they did such a professional job, we had them come to help us with our own delivery two weeks later. David and his partner were so patient; and David was even very good humored throughout, which was admirable because the couch was difficult and heavy. These guys were amazing! After having a couple of unprofessional and unethical cancellations with poor correspondence from a competitor, couch and sofa Dr. NYC, Sofa disassembly and Movers came the same day within a couple of hours from my initial phone call. They showed up with masks because of Covid-19 and had all the tools necessary to disassemble a 9' ABC Carpet sofa and then helped me put it in storage. Never tried to force into elevator or down a stairwell if it didn't fit. Measured prior as a precaution. They are half the cost of competitors and accept credit cards. The team was professional and efficient and did a good job with disassembling, moving, and reassembling my crate and barrel lounge 2 sofa. I will use them again in the future. I give them 4/5 stars only because they didn't show up at our scheduled time despite confirmation, and we had to call a bunch of times to get through to someone. They ended up coming about 2 hours late, which would have been fine if communicated. There is also one corner of the couch that wasn't repaired perfectly. But, this was the second time the couch was dis/reassembled. read more

"Sofa Disassembly & Movers" just delivered a 100 lb printer. These guys picked up the printer from BH Photo in New York City, delivered it to my apartment in New Jersey, and did an unboxing. These guys carefully removed the printer from the shipping box and installed the printer on the available printing stand. After the unboxing was complete, "Sofa Disassembly & Movers" removed the shipping box, plastic wrapping, and all the styrofoam pieces that supported the printer during shipping... These guys were amazing both from the customer service and fast response time to David and Enrique doing an amazing job on site. It was a Friday in the afternoon and we weren't sure what we were going to do as we couldn't leave a couch in front of the elevator of our building for the weekend. They were at our place within 2 hours and worked till the job was done (nearly 8pm). I could not recommend them more!! WOW, these guys were my saviors. After the moving day from hell, which got delayed well into the evening, we determined that my movers would not be able to get my couch into my apartment. After getting no response from a better known, more expensive company, these guys really came through. They offered a fair price AND they literally showed up in 15 minutes. This was 9:00pm on Sunday, July 2, which is a holiday weekend for many. Needless to say, I was amazed and extremely grateful. Watching them work was like magic. Efficient, knowledgeable, and thoughtful they were able to take apart and remove our aged two-piece sectional in under an hour. We appreciated how meticulous and careful they were as they disassembled the piece enough to walk it down our narrow hall, while keeping it intact enough to be restored and reupholstered for another life (a great policy). I got to use SOFA Disassembly today and they Re simply amazing! We were moving in a new apartment and the movers couldn't find anyway to get 7-feet large sofa in the apartment (14th floor). They tried multiple times elevators and stairs with no success. We called SOFA Disassembly and within 3 hours they got to our place assessed the situation and optjons and got to the sofa in perfect conditions up to the 14th floor. I needed my sofa taken apart and put in my apartment. My scheduled appointment was 9 to 10 and they was here at 9:10 they proceeded to take the sofa apart i was devastated at first. Never have I seen this. They sawed it to my shock. Didn't now what to expect. All I can say is watching Eyaury and Carlos work was like watching 2 men at there craft do it with such ease and professionalism. They told us they'd have our couch inside the apartment within an hour and a half to two hours. Two hours later, and I am writing this review from our new couch in our living room. Sofa D&M did an excellent job disassembling and reassembling my Room and Board, American Leather brand Sleeper Sofa. They worked with my schedule and got the job done in a tight window. Total, the move cost $370, including a third floor walkup and management approved COI. This was the cheapest group I found, but the lowest price does not reflect the quality. David handled the move and he was extremely helpful and friendly. He exemplified customer service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend David or the company to anyone. read more

They were also very responsive when I checked in to make sure we were still on for the move in day. On the move in day they were ON TIME. Yes you read that ON TIME. They called ahead to give us a heads up that they would be arriving soon. The three men arrived ready to work. They wrapped everything very professionally and quickly. I was so worried about my IKEA furniture not being able to survive a move, but it did. Everything was loaded onto the truck within an hour and a half and unloaded within an hour an a half. My furniture was just as perfect in my new home as it was in the previous. Nothing scratched, broken, or torn! Honestly, I will never support anyone moving themselves again and will only refer my friends to Fidelity. Who can deal with all that hustle and bustle? They worked SO fast we were expecting it to take way more time but they ended up finishing within the first 2 hours (including a 40min drive to the new place). They move really efficiently and are pros at taking big items through narrow hallways with care. We were really impressed by the strength and experience they had. They said that they have worked in every building in manhattan and you can tell they have a very smooth operation. You can do all communication over email, they respond quickly and also call/text to tell you their arrival time the morning of. It's priced based on time with a base price for 2 hrs for 3 men and a truck and every 30 minutes after is additional. They will wrap any large furniture you have in blankets. Do note that you are responsible for any parking tickets if they can't find any legal parking near by. You also pay for tolls and for any COI you request. Definitely recommend over other moving companies in New York
