I'm always looking for great pizza in Orlando and this Detroit style (baked in drip pans) is impressive all around. The way the crust gets perfectly crispy while the base stays soft is so satisfying. I love the whipped ricotta and hot honey with their small pepperonis. This place is modest in design but the pizza is top notch. I usually get two meals from their 4-piece pizza because it's so packed with toppings and the thick style of the crust. Their ranch is also awesome as a topper or to dip. There is a little parking lot across the street, marked with signs, that you can use and walk across at the crosswalks. read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon. It was pretty empty but there was a lot of people coming in and out picking up orders. The selections of pizza flavors were overwhelming. I didn't know what to pick. I decided to go with the Notorious P.I.Z. It may have been a little too much for me. I love a deep dish pizza. I have had Detroit Style before but it can get overwhelming with the overloads of meats and extras thrown on top. A lot of meat make it too salty and it was too much honey drizzle. Now don't get me wrong the pizza was amazing. It was hot, extremely fresh, and tasty. The flavors were bursting out the seams but next time I will get a something more basic that is not as loaded up with different toppings as this one was. I tried the pizza at a different location a couple of years ago and it was great. This time I was talked into coming here to try a "Detroit" hotdog. These guys raved about this hotdog so I agreed. We ordered at a kiosk and didn't have any interaction with the staff. I got hotdog (chili and mustard) and salad lunch special. Great choice because I didn't leave too full and the salad made me feel better about myself. The food was slow to come out but it was hot and fresh when it got to the table. I ate trash hotdogs for the majority of my life. Some years back I started eating beef hotdogs (game changer). Well this hotdog is at the top of the game. The meat was high quality. The casing had a pop in every bite. The chili was a little pasty. I would have preferred chili with a little more viscosity. I highly recommend the SoDough Detroit dogs. read more

This is probably one of the BEST pizzas I've had, hands down! Private parking lot given the other places in the plaza didn't appear to be opened any more. Our first visit we walked in and ordered at the available kiosks, took a number and sat down to eat there. Our second visit we ordered ahead and picked up. Great quick service. I like THICKK pizza, and I cannot lie! I've always passed by Sodough Square locations, but I've never actually indulged in the goodness of Detroit Pizza. My boyfriend and I were feeling like trying some new pizza, so we opted to order pickup from here. When I tell you I was NOT ready for the contents of this pizza box, I WAS NOT READY. We got a large Detroit Rob City (pictured here, about $30) that consisted of red sauce, brick cheese blend, pinched sausage, pepperoni, whipped ricotta, honey hot drizzle, and basil. This pizza is thick and delicious. You could tell the ingredients were FRESH AF. One slice would've filled me up, but I genuinely could not stop at just one. Most of the pizzas on their menu have the same sort of creativity in their components, so I'm super excited to try the other pizzas. The general vibe of the place is pretty cool. There's seating inside and outside as well as some great music playing (when I was picking up, there was early 2000s alternative rock playing). I think one of the coolest little things is the actual pizza box. There's a spot where you can tear off this little half circle so you can put your head in for a funny picture. The pizza box brought about 20 minutes of childish joy and laughter that we were not expecting haha. I'm definitely coming back here. After spending a day walking around downtown winter park we got hungry and found that they have a location nearby. It's a small inside but they also have a few tables outdoors. They greet you as you walk in and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Started with garlic Parmesan wings and the sauce was so good! The wings were crispy and perfectly coated in the sauce. As for pizza I had the Detroit rob city and omg it was delicious! The edges were crispy but the middle was soft. I had high expectations because the pictures look AMAZING, and it did not disappoint!! All the edges were perfectly crispy, soft where it needed to be, and delicious! This Detroit pizza seems pretty likable in Orlando. My fave Detroit Pizza is actually in Safety Harbor, near Clearwater and Tampa, FL. This did not come close. It was a far stretch, & I didn't even finish it. I tried the Detroit Rob, & the BBQ Chicken pizza. It was just so plain, not flavorful. I was looking for cheese baked in edges which is what I get from my fave Detroit Pizza. This one has no flavor and I relied heavily on extra sauce. But the hot honey was too hot, and the BBQ sauce was just ok. The service from one of the guys was very good and helpful. Everything was done on the computer in front where I ordered, and he answered my questions. Initially him and another guy hung out in back, while I waited for someone to assist me No idea what that was all about. I could see them basically twiddling their thumbs on their phone. The ambiance is fine and clean and spacious. Has mostly high bar like stools and one lower table. I do not care for high stools. It's hard for me to climb on. There's picnic tables outside, but it was way too hot. I wouldn't be back and I love pizza. read more

We drove by this pizza shop and had a feeling it was going to be amazing. Our instincts were spot on! The food here is delicious. My husband ordered a Detroit style chili dog as an "appetizer" and we shared a small four square pie with sausage, cup pepped pepperoni, whipped ricotta, hot honey, and fresh basil. It was so good! I was worried the crust would be dense like focaccia bread, but it was light and airy and crispy and cheesy and all the ooey gooey things you want when it comes to good pizza. This place surpassed my expectations, I wasn't sure how I was going to like it raised in NY I usually don't care for thick crust but this sourdough pizza is by far some of the best pizza I've ever had in my life! The Cesar salad was also amazing. Everything was fresh as can be and the staff was keeping busy, brought our drinks immediately sanitizing the tables after each person and building the pizza boxes. SoDough Square made me discover my love for Detroit style pizza, and it's definitely one of my favorite pizza spots in Orlando. I'm glad to see they've been expanding and opening more locations around town. The Winter Park location is even closer to me and I order it for delivery all the time. My go-to pizzas are the classic Detroit Rob City (named after the owner, Rob), the #24 Enforcer topped with bacon, sausage, and pepperoni, and the the Sweet Sting topped with pepperoni and fresh jalapeno which has a great kick. Don't forget the garlic cheesy bread! They also have really great crispy fried wings. I like the dry rubs - lemon pepper and honey garlic. This pizza is super filling, and I love that whenever I get SoDough, it lasts me for multiple meals and makes for the BEST leftovers. The restaurant has a decent number of customers and does a lot of to-go orders. I placed my order at the screens in the front for a caesar salad, lemon pepper chicken wings, a Rob City Pizza, and a Stella. The drinks, salad, and chicken wings came out first. I love the housemade croutons and fresh parmesean cheese. The lemon pepper chicken wings were so crispy. Cooked to perfection. The Rob City is my favorite pizza. Crispy edges, meaty toppings, and the hot honey drizzle really set it off. We ordered the 8 piece pizza. We had leftovers and were able to grab boxes from the back to take it to-go. Each small pizza comes with four fat square shaped slices and 5 small pizzas fed our group of 9 easily with left over. We got the Detroit Rob City, Eastern Market, BBQ Chicken, Greek Town, and a pepperoni and pineapple pizza. We also tried two Coney Island hot dogs. Service was helpful and fast. I'm a huge fan of SoDough Square's SODO location. Today we went with my bf's family to the Winter Park location. Same great pizza, friendly employees, and a good amount of seating in a welcoming, casual atmosphere. My bf and I shared their Detroit Rob City without pepperoni, his mom got a build your own sausage and cheese pie, and his sister and BIL ordered a Detroit Rob City and Buffalo chicken style pie (forgot the name of it). Orders came out pretty quickly and were hit and fresh. The Detroit Rob City pie is definitely one of my favorites. I love the creamy ricotta and hot honey. The crispy edges of the crust are always amazing and the pizza isn't overly greasy despite the generous toppings. My bf and I always share the small and are happy and full after two slices each. We decided to jazz up our usual at-home pizza/movie night to celebrate the last day of school by catching a movie at the theater and following it up with SoDough. There's not a whole ton of seating for private parties-- meaning there are lots of chairs but only 5-7 tables and if I'm remembering correctly, all but one were high tops. So not the most accessible spot. From what we saw when we were there on a Friday night, they do more takeout business than anything. We got a small pepperoni and a small Detroit Rob City. They took a while to come out, which is fine because they're made fresh. My lord, some of the BEST pizza I've ever had. Each small brought 4 generous squares and they practically melted in our mouths. They were perfectly crispy/salty on the edges, cheesy, and soft dough in the middle. I was able to eat 1.5 pieces before feeling satisfied. We took the rest home and it reheated beautifully in the air fryer. I can't wait to come back to try the Big Mac. And the Boblo Island. I've been wanting to try out this restaurant for a while and I finally made it out. It's a smaller place, but can accommodate a few larger parties, as they have 2-3 long tables. When I went, it was packed so I ended up sitting at the bar. My party was greeted by a server, who introduced us to the restaurant and the type of pizza they serve, which was very appreciated. You order on a kiosk, grab a number and they will bring your food out to you. We got the Detroit Rob City and the #24 Enforcer with extra sauce. Both pizzas came out in about 15-20 minutes. The pizzas were heavenly. The crust was crispy and thick, yet light and airy. The whipped ricotta on the Detroit Rob City really set it apart. I absolutely enjoyed both pizzas. The sauce to cheese to crust ratio is perfect (I probably should have ordered without extra sauce on the #24 Enforcer). I've only had Detroit pizza twice before but this place is definitely the best I've had. This is definitely one of my top pizza places in Orlando and I'll have to come back to try out the other pizzas on their menu. read more

SoDough is now the pizza I want every time I crave pizza. The Detroit style on the thick focaccia is hard to get right -- it can come out too soggy or too chewy. The crust is absolutely perfect, even after picking up and bringing home to enjoy. I've only had take out, but the pizza is always ready when I arrive and sitting in the warmer. They usually offer crushed red pepper and Parmesan packets too, so make sure to ask if they don't. You really can't go wrong with any of the pizzas, but my favorite is the Enforcer which is closest to your classic meats pizza. The cheesy garlic bread is also a MUST. SoDough is definitely where you wanna get your next pizza. There is a parking lot on New York Ave that is reserved for the spots on that corner, including SoDough.
