Yes, I know it might not be the healthiest thing if you eat it often, but I can't help it, LOL. Park Ave Pizza has the best pizza in Downtown Winter Park. No doubt about it. The owners are super nice and always welcome their customers with a smile. It is not a fancy place, just your no-frills pizza shop. And that's all it needs to be. They offer pizza by the slice, made to order pies, and a few other menu items. My favorites? One pepperoni slice and one buffalo chicken slice to go. The pizza is thin, with the perfect amount of sauce and toppings, and it's super crispy. The crust is amazing. Two slices for $10 in Winter Park is definitely a good deal. We ordered two bianca pies for takeout and the white pie was so crisp and delicious. The dough was nice and firm and cooked thoroughly so that you hold a slice and it does not bend. My Go-To pizza place on the avenue for a quick slice of pizza for lunch! Service is okay; nothing to rave about but the order is perfection every time. I'm not sure if they have AC here as sometimes it's quite warm inside on a summer day. The red pepper and Parmesan is located in a difficult to see location (in my opinion - I'm short so idk if I just can't see it! Lol ). Decor and ambiance is consistent for the style of the restaurant as its appearance is a "quick NY style pizza" and not what I would deem a date night kind of place. Ordered ahead and arrived early. They put my "finished" pizzas back in the oven. Got home a few minutes later and realized they just reheated older pizzas. Crust is burnt, too is cold. I really do love this place as a casual hang out spot for dinner or lunch. It's right off Park Ave and is a great price compared to the other restaurants around. You can see that because all of the Rollins kids hang out here. My current favs are their cheesy garlic bread and spinach pizza!! Mmmmm!! They do have all of the standard Italian foods, like lasagna and calzones too, but they also have some weird things on their menu, like chicken noodle soup (4$)and French fries + chicken fingers (7.50$). I would just avoid those, even though they are good. They just aren't homemade and are just pre packaged food items. A bit pricey but you're asking for something they wouldn't normally have at an Italian restaurant. All of their pizza is amazing and fresh and so reasonable $$$ def come here to get some pizza to go!!! House made garlic butter sauce - My gods, whatever ingredients they use, its's literal magic. Best decision ever. This little pizza joint, run by a husband and wife, made one of the best-tasting pizzas I've ever had in my life. I got a slice of the Buffalo Chicken Pizza and I'll be back for more. The crust was amazing; not too thin, not too thick, and perfectly seasoned. The pizza, itself, was great too; fresh garlic, mozzarella, ricotta, and chunks of buffalo chicken came together to create an explosion of flavor and deliciousness. Gahhh. I wish they were open for me to go get a slice now. They also had a good selection of beers and wines too. The staff was super nice, the husband makes the pizzas and the wife handles the register and orders, while occasionally stepping in to help him. There was one more employee, he handled the register when he came in (I think he's the delivery boy too), and he was really friendly. And I don't know if they usually bring the pizza out to you or if you have to wait for it, but they brought it out to us since we got confused about what to do and just sat down, like noobs. lol. Long story short: I cannot recommend this place to anyone. My kids and I stopped in for some lunch with friends. We weren't in the mood for pizza but knew they had subs so figured, let's get some subs. Now, this will be important later: the menu board read "Turkey & cheese sub" with no mention of condiments and they never asked if we wanted them when we ordered. We placed our order and were told they couldn't take credit cards that day. Luckily we were able to scrape up enough cash since I don't usually carry it. We then sat down, it was only us and one other family who had already gotten their food. It took FORTY FIVE MINUTES TO GET COLD SUBS. When I went up to ask how long it would be to get them (at the 40 minute mark), the woman who took our order mumbled something like "I'll bring it out to you". It took another five minutes to get it. When we got it, it was absolutely disgusting. It was swimming with mustard and mayonnaise and it looked like someone sat on the sandwich. It was inedible. We didn't bother complaining bc I didn't have another 45 minutes to wait. I will note that my friends liked their pizza and the fries we ordered were tasty but I cannot give any more than one star bc there are so many better pizza places in our area. First impression I got wasn't good. The place doesn't look that clean and no one who's working there is dressed properly. We went there during lunch time. The guy working there seemed very angry and reluctant to take our orders. No one's wearing gloves while making the food. I ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich. It's cheap (Only $7.99). My coworkers got different pizzas. We ended up waiting for 25 min which is incredibly long for a sandwich that takes 5 min to make. The wait time for Calzon pizza was supposed to be 15 and it still took us 25 min. The sandwich was tasty and I would give it a 3.5/5 start. Everything else deserve a 2/5. I don't think I'll go back considering the wait time. Do yourself a favor and go to Maestro instead!!!! read more

What a great hidden gem! Was wandering around park avenue looking for a quick bite, which is usually hard over to find over there due to all of the amazing sit down restaurants lining the streets. Somehow, I spotted this place nestled behind the Brazilian steakhouse. This place has the ambience of your typical pizza place. Cute paintings of Italy and small tables to grab a bite at. I got cheese pizza by the slice (very reasonably priced at $2.50) and was blown away. This is probably the best NY style pizza I've ever had here in Orlando. The crust was amazing, garlicky and buttery, and it tasted like everything you never knew you even wanted! The people behind the counter were so nice and the place felt very cozy and homey. It was a great experience! I am looking forward to going back and trying some more of their entrees. They have a variety of baked pasta dishes, meat entrees, salads, subs, and all at great prices! They also sell full sized pies which go up to a whopping 18 inch size for just around $16. I know this will be the place I think of for pizza from now on. read more

If you like cardboard you will love this joint. All ingredients are straight out of a box or bag. Nothing is made in house. What a classic pizza joint right in the middle of Winter Park! I just love this place! The owners are always so friendly and welcoming and the pizza is pretty good! Their Bianca non veggie slice is extremely tasty and their buffalo chicken is probably the best I've ever had! I would say it's the closest pizza I have to my hometown NY pizza. You will eat the entire pizza even the crust, especially since they brush on this garlic oil on the crust right before serving, yummyyyyy! There is indoor seating and then 2 or so outdoor tables. After an extensive search, I found my go to take out pizza place in Winter Park! There are so many choices and, really, all of them are tasty. The service is quick, friendly, and reliable (called ahead to place orders for specific times on several occasions) and the pizza quality is great every time. It's not quite NY pizza but it pretty, pretty, pretty close, at least for Orlando. It definitely has that unassuming hole-in-the-wall vibe that a good NYC place has (but it's very bright and clean). Staff is super friendly and they are open late, which is awesome when you are a tired and hungry Rollins grad student. I picked up a couple of slices the other night and they really hit the spot.
