Detroit-style pizza is my favorite style of pizza, and this place did it well. Great flavors, a nice crispy crust, and generous toppings. A solid spot!
Just made my first visit to Soto Square absolutely worth the drive from the airport easy to find and the service was extremely fast after you ordered it off a digital pad. The ambience was a cool sit down and wait for them to bring out your pizza . They do have beer by the can in the cooler which has a really cool selection and some great sodas that are local favorites from the soda dispenser. Also loved how they share the space with the taco stand next-door which while we waited for the pizza we had a taco appetizer, which is a bonus review highly recommend trying their Carnitas taco with the mango sauce. Absolutely delicious. We ordered two different pizzas, both absolutely succulent and juicy and full of flavor exploding in your mouth cooked to perfection I also had a Caesar salad for seven dollars and it was fresh vibrant and perfect before the pizza arrived. Highly recommend this place. It's everything customers are saying pretty clean in both areas of the restaurant and I'm sure it's very packed on the weekends as we went during the week, hope you enjoy this place. Kudos to the owner who owns both restaurants. What a great business.
Great experience! Came here right at opening and ordered a small custom pizza. We did hot honey and cupped pepperonis. We were the first to order but the parking lot filled fast. It's nice to have the tacos with craft beer and soda next door! Pizza was made nicely and was very tasty. Small with 4 pieces was plenty for 2 people. Would come back!
The place is very small and is attached to a taco restaurant in Orlando. On Friday they were slammed with orders so I had to wait thirty minutes for mine. I ordered a Greek salad with a garden pizza which means the toppings were veggies. The service was great and I can order at a kiosk and not at the register. The pizza was tasty and a little soggy cause it came right out of the oven into my car. I loved the Greek salad there and the design of the place was nice too. The cost was average $14.00 for a small size pizza and less than $10.00 for the Greek salad.
SoDough never does me wrong. Every time I am in downtown Orlando, I consider stopping here for pizza. I always buy two small pizzas so I can save some for later - the portion sizing is perfect. This is the pizza I picture when I think of Detroit style - crispy cheesy edges with a soft and chewy middle. The ingredients always taste fresh and flavorful and they never skimp on toppings. I haven't tried their wings but a friend I was with got them recently and said they were great - super crispy. This location also shares a space with a Tin & Taco, which is so nice if you go with a group who might want other options.
I've been hearing about SoDough Square forever as one of the best pizza places in Orlando... And now that I've been there, I absolutely agree. This Detroit-style pizza is a crowd favorite, and for good reason. It lives up to every ounce of the hype, and gets all of the praise they deserve! The parking situation was easy-peasy (free and in front of the restaurant), but we also went at an odd hour during the day when it wasn't crowded. The restaurant shares a space/dining room with its adjacent taco restaurant (which was also good- we ordered the "trio" of salsa, guacamole, and queso with chips). We used the digital screen to order everything for our order. We purchased a large Detroit Rob City pizza and an order of Detroit Dough Dots. I opted for soda from the taco place, as they had a "Stubborn" fountain soda machine- which I loveeeee. Mixing the vanilla cream soda + cola= a winner. We grabbed a number for the table and they brought the pizza to our table maybe 10-12 minutes later. The goods! 1) Detroit Rob City (large)- I. Loved. This. So. Much. The hot honey. The little pepperonis. The perfect swirls of whipped ricotta. The delightful, golden brown, crispy and crunchy crust. This was absolute heaven. I ordered light tomato sauce, and I feel like that was a good decision. My oh my. This pizza fed my mom and me for 3 days (I ordered a large and had zero clue that this pizza was MASSIVE). This was love. Next time, I'm going to order more hot honey on the side because I couldn't get enough of it! I dream of this pizza. 2) Detroit Dough Dots- made with the same dough they use for the pizza! The dough bites are covered in cinnamon sugar and are served with a side of Nutella. The bites were yummy. Nothing out of this world, but it was a pretty big, shareable portion for the price. I'd order this again. Overall, this pizza was a 10/10. That crust was out of this world. Someone else described the dough as a "labor of love"- and I think that's the ideal way to explain it. Oof. So delicious. I can't wait to come back here for pizza. Also, reheating the pizza in the air fryer was *chef's kiss*- it reheats SO well. Just saying.
Ordered SoDough Square Pizza for pickup and I've got to say , it did not disappoint. By the time we got home and opened the boxes, everything was still hot and fresh, which already put it off to a great start. The Detroit-style pie was incredible, easily the best Detroit-style pizza I've had in Orlando. The crust had that perfect crispy, caramelized edge while still being light and fluffy inside. Every bite was packed with flavor. We also ordered the buffalo wings. They were good, but honestly they didn't stand out nearly as much as the pizza. If you're deciding where to focus your order, the pie is definitely the star of the show. And whatever you do, do not skip the donuts. They came with the most amazing melted Nutella chocolate sauce for dipping and they were absolutely unreal. Sweet, warm, and the perfect way to finish the meal. Overall, fantastic Detroit-style pizza, easy pickup, and food that still tastes fresh when you get home. We'll definitely be back.
My husband is from Detroit, so we were so excited to check out @sodoughsquare and try their famous Detroit-style pizza! They even have Detroit Coney dogs, which we're already planning to come back for next time. We started with a Caesar salad and garlic parmesan wings (kid-approved -- two thumbs up all around ). Between us and the grandparents, we had to go big and try three pizzas: Rob City -- the viral one with ricotta and hot honey (the star of the night!) Bianco -- a dreamy white pizza with ricotta on top (Ricotta was heaven to me, but kids... not so much. At least mine are great eaters and will try just about anything ) Veggie + Sausage -- my parents' pick, loaded with mushrooms, onions, and green peppers. We left already talking about when we could come back -- no exaggeration. If you haven't been, Sodough Square has three locations -- SoDo, Winter Park, and near UCF -- and it's 100% worth the hype!
Found this spot for my daughter's birthday and we were all happy. The dough is nice and chewy with crispy and gooey cheese on the edges. Custom pies all look great but we went with the enforcer and it was great. The sausage had great flavor without being too salty. They're connected to Tin & Taco for seating which is fun and easy if your group wants to do a mix and match of foods. Very clean inside with staff coming around pretty regularly to make sure you have what you need. This felt like a little something extra since they can't really see you from their counter so they're staying on their feet. Bear Detroit style pizza I've had though, so even a to-go option works here!
First off this pizza place shares a dining area with a taco place. When you go in through the doors for the pizza place, you have to self order. And grab a number. Once you grab a number you need to go to the dining table area and just pick a spot. If you want to order tacos or other drinks, you're welcome to do that from the other side. I think both businesses shared at this common area. When you order your pizza is through a self order iPad system. It is very detailed in case you want to switch out an ingredient or have allergies or what not. Back to food. This is my first taste of the Detroit style pizza. And I loved it. I had the PBJ. Small size / 4 square pieces. Which is their version of a pineapple pizza, but I crossed out the jalapeños. It had an amazing dough and topping ratio. Crispy crust edges. And delivered it in a very cute box with reheat instructions on the side. It also tastes amazing if you decide to eat it cold just not as crispy. We also ordered their garlic sky wings. It's super crispy and juicy. But go for the pizza. Don't get a small size get the large size. Leftovers are amazing. I don't know why I got the small size. That was my mistake. Haha. There's free parking out front . Table and chairs are very stable. Since it is a common area, please pick up after yourself. The staff is very sweet.
I was craving a Hot dog and knew exactly where to go. SoDough Square! The 2 Detroit Coney Dog is my go to order. It is really good. I know I can get a Krombacher beer from Tin & Taco to pair with 2 Detroit Coney Dogs. The service is great. It took less than 5 minutes to get the Hot Dogs and Beer. There is plenty of seating. It is a comfortable spot to eat, drink and relax for hours talking.
Excellent service and outstanding Detroit-style pizza. I ordered the Detroit Rob City Pizza and added olives--unlike many places that charge extra and barely add any toppings, they absolutely give you your money's worth here. Every bite was loaded and flavorful. The Detroit Rob City Pizza was amazing: the pepperoni and sausage paired perfectly with the sweet hot honey and creamy ricotta. And of course, the iconic crunchy square crust was everything you want from Detroit-style pizza--crispy, chewy, and satisfying. Service was just as great as the food. Melissa took excellent care of us--she brought our food promptly, happily grabbed extra Detroit red sauce when I asked, provided to-go boxes, and even offered to cut the pizza into smaller pieces for our son. That kind of attentiveness really makes the experience stand out. Great food, great service, and a great overall experience. We truly wish they would open another location in Lake Mary again--we miss them!
YES YES YES! Try this place! You'll be addicted and you can thank me later :)- We stayed in Orlando, 30 minutes away from the place and came here 2x during our 3 day stay. This is probably one of the BEST pizzas I've had, hands down! Private parking lot given the other places in the plaza didn't appear to be opened any more. Our first visit we walked in and ordered at the available kiosks, took a number and sat down to eat there. Our second visit we ordered ahead and picked up. Great quick service. Food is fresh and delicious. Place is clean and plenty of seats available. Pretty much self serve. Staff is friendly. The takeout order was ready when we arrived and all correct. Definitely a MUST when we visit.

Family night out and decided to stop to grab my favorite pizza before some fun out and about. We ordered 3 small ( 4 slice) pizzas : notorious PIG but I removed the meat , extra cheese pizza and a Detroit pizza . We sat down and enjoyed some cold German beer with our pizza and the little one enjoyed a lemonade . The staff remembered me and hung out a bit talking football for a bit. If you are near Sodo and want some really good food, try so dough or tin and taco that share space! It's such a chill vibe and one of my favorite places. read more

We ordered the chicken bacon ranch 4 square, and the large Detroit rob city. The Rob city was delicious. We ate in and we had 4 little kids and 4 adults. Our friends ordered a different chicken and a margarita. You can easily share a 4 square between two adults with how big the pizzas are. We ordered soda from the taco place and that place had a large selection of IPA's (I think that's what they were) so you can get different drinks ordering from there. We had one issue with the chicken bacon ranch pizza and the employees were incredibly on top of it- like customer service was 5 stars. I would frequent this business purely because of how well they handled it- but they have that AND good food! Inside, it's rustic-esque. Nice for kids to have room and a lot of seating. I can imagine parking can be crazy when it's busy as it's in a small strip plaza. We unfortunately don't live near but we were visiting the Orlando science center and our friends wanted to come here. I'd definitely recommend this place again and again. read more

I had the fortune to consume this insane pizza when my colleague ordered a few pies for a group. The buzz was on: wait, is that... SoDough?! Apparently this spot is very popular and talked about... and for good reason! I enjoyed my squares so much: chewy, thick, and so flavorful, and with interesting toppings. It was _fun_ to eat, and to look at, and it came in these fun boxes. Artisanal dough? Locally owned? Pizza? All the boxes checked... even the box itself. read more

Real deal Detroit style pizza here. You order at the counter on a computer screen, grab a number, and seat yourself. The cheesy bread falls in the must order category in my opinion. It's simply elite. A small is good to split between 2-4 people. The large cheese pizza is also excellent. Once again, depending on everyone's appetite it's great for 2-4 people. SoDough Square is a delightful hole and n the wall pizzeria. I've wanted to visit for several months and finally had an opportunity to do so. It was a grand experience! We placed our order at a self service kiosk and took a seat in a common dining room shared with Tin and Taco. My party of two ordered cheesy garlic bread and a cheese pizza. (Yes; The pizza had another name on the menu but it was a Detroit style cheese pizza so that is what I am calling it!) Cheesy garlic bread was a revelation. Brilliant seasoning, awesome cheese, and crispy crust. It could easily have passed as a white pizza. Call it what you will, you will not find a better garlic bread in Florida. Pizza was flavorful and the flavor lingers well. Sauce is slightly sweeter than I would have made it, but still quite good. Cheese is excellent and the crust and seasoning are the stars. Until today, there were only two excellent pizza parlors in Orlando (Sal's in Dr. Phillip's and Antica in Altamonte Springs). Add SoDough to that list! read more

Unique thick crust pizza, love the whipped ricotta cheese. Small is definitely large enough to share with two people. Sauce was a bit salty to my taste hence 4/5. Good but I have found better pizza in Orlando ;) read more
First visit to SoDough Square this evening and we really enjoyed it. We ordered a small T& T Taco Pizza with taco meat, lettuce, tomato, sour cream and crushed Doritos ($15.99) and a small Detroit Rob City with pepperoni, sausage, ricotta cheese and hot honey ($15.99). These are pretty nice sized cut in 4 rectangles. The pizza is thick like a pan pizza and both were very tasty. This location shares a dining room with Tin & Taco. The staff is nice and helpful. You order at a touch screen and payment is card only. We will be back again as this was really good. read more
Found this place while in Orlando. Super Bowl Sunday was taking place and there's nothing like pizza and wings on a football day. I wanted Detroit style pizza as the it's my favorite with the thicker crust and crunchiness, along with a great dose of cheese and pepperoni and hot honey. This place delivered a delicious pizza and more. Ordering is a a do it yourself experience. There's a kiosk as soon as you walk in with all the options you see available on their menu on the wall. There was someone there ready to help with any questions which was great as far as service goes. Don't know what to do ? They had someone there. Great looking place, nice decorations and good size tables to have your pizza, wings, cheesy bread. On that note, the cheesy bread was the beginning of food heaven. The bread was delivered fresh out of the oven, with melted cheese and a great crunch to each bite.. and then for the spectacular experience of their hot honey pizza !! Tons of pepperoni, hot honey drizzle and the touch of ricotta just made every bite even more amazing. Definitely coming back ! Want great Detroit style pizza ? This the place to be read more
This location is pretty small with just the order counter and a stool counter inside. Luckily, they share seating with the restaurant next door so you can grab a table there. The pizza was delicious. I had been craving Detroit style and this spot came up in my search. I am so glad I went. The pizza was beautiful, full of flavor, and served hot and fresh. I ordered a small which I think could easily feed two people, but it was plenty for just me to have leftovers. read more
I was in Orlando for a concert and I have been wanting to try this place for a while . So I stopped in and grabbed a Motown Supreme pizza . The staff was great and explained the menu and everything to me . And the place was nice and clean . It wasn't much of a wait and they brought my out a delicious square pie. I really enjoyed it and would definitely come back and explore the menu again ! read more
I did the order online approach because waiting can take a bit for pizza (usually in general). When I arrived, they greeted me but turned their backs so they can finish their conversation. Another person asked "are you picking up?" The female says "oh my mad. I thought you were placing an order." My order was in the warmer waiting. The wait time for less than 1-2 minutes inside. No other interaction with the associates. The place looks clean and the atmosphere is nice. If you want there, you actually eat next door at tin & taco. I ordered the tin & taco pizza because I love taco pizza. For some reason, it didn't taste the way I remembered. My husband bought the Detroit pizza and he said his was fine. Who knows. read more

Let me start this review off by saying I don't even like pizza that much. I can take it or leave it and it's never the first suggestion that I make when searching for food but a buddy of mine suggested trying this place and I'm so happy that I did because I've had pizza three times in the past two weeks which is unheard of for me. It's truly a testament to the flavor of the pizza and service of this place. The crust is absolutely delicious, you can taste the difference in the cheese, and I truly enjoy the Detroit red sauce . The pizza place is right next to a taco place and you should definitely check it out if you're picking up a pie . I can't really speak too much on the ambience because you just go in and pick up your pizza. There's not really a place to sit, but you can sit at the taco place that is attached. read more

Really enjoyed the Detroit style pizza here. We got the SMALL BOBLO ISLAND BLUES, and it was great! Our food came out pretty quick, and the staff were all friendly. There is a shared space to eat with another restaurant, Tin & Taco, so we were able to grab a drink from there as well. We'll be back! read more

Pizza is something that I'm always seeking out so when I saw a Detroit style one here I was like let's go! While our pie was yummy for what it was it wasn't close to the best of the Detroit style I've had as it just seemed ok to me nothing too crazy but it might have been what we ordered but who knows! Overall kinda pricy for a pizza that was good but not great with that I'm not sure I'd make it here again. read more
