On the fateful day of "the ice cream incident" I was flipping through Martha Stewart Living when I stumbled upon a delightful filtered photo of a vanilla ice cream cone. As I saw the picture, my mouth began to salivate. I needed to satisfy this craving for a creamy white delectable treat. I hopped in my Buick Century. A real classic. And I started down Ellsworth road. My original plan was to go with a reliable McDonald's cone. Granted, most days their ice cream machine is broken. But they have satisfied my needs of tasty and affordability times before this. But the drive thru was clogged at that moment, like my toilet is at times. I decided I needed a back up plan. To my pleasant surprise there was soda rush right down the street. I pulled up to the drive thru ready for my ice cream. This summer has been an exceptional scorcher. So the decision of a cone was one of the better decisions in my life. Besides the decision to marry my late husband Gary. RIP Gary Lloyd Smith Any who, a lovely young lass took my order over the intercom. She was very patient with me as I had a hard time reading the menu and hearing her. I had forgotten my glasses and hearing aids at my trailer home. But because I had lost most of my other two senses, my other senses were heightened. Especially my taste senses. I pulled up to the window and a young man took my money. He was honestly quite handsome and if I wasn't still in love with Gary I would enjoy to look upon him again.RIP Gary Lloyd Smith He handed me my cone and I was honestly disappointed by the presentation. This cone looked like the leaning tower of pizza. {disappointment} Lucky for me there was still room for redemption. The ice cream and the cone itself. The ice cream-quite nice. Thick. Creamy. White. (How I like my ice cream, and how I like my men) But as I made my way down to the cone I bit into it. And my worst fear occurred. The cone. Was. Stale. Why? Oh why? Why did this have to happen to me? I had driven far and wide. I had looked forward to this for about a solid 30 minutes. And then when I am given relief of my creamy urges; I am dissatisfied. At this point I would have waited in line at the Golden Arches to get a whole and complete vanilla cone. Soda rush I am disgusted. I am revolted. I have dedicated much of my life to my lord and savior Jesus Christ and this is the fate I inherit? Lord forgive me for the sins I have made that warrant this kind of cruel punishment. I will not be going back to soda rush to satisfy my creamy cravings. The day of the Ice cream incident is a day forever etched in my brain as a day of sadness and disappointment. A day that almost exceeds the sadness and disappointment I felt when Gary passed. RIP Gary Lloyd Smith Goodbye Rushers. This review is for the soft serve ice cream only. (We love their drinks & cookies) Their soft serve is very watery and not creamy at all. One person commented that "this tastes like healthy ice cream" and another took a few licks and tossed the rest. Word of caution: if you order ice cream in a cup, it will come on a cone, turned upside down in a cup - which is a problem when you have a wheat/gluten issue. read more

SodaRush has one of my favorite drinks, and we also enjoy their cookies. But I'm constantly disappointed when I go get a treat. For several reasons. What soda shop doesn't have a drink carrier for you? We went and ordered several drinks to take to friends, paid and then found out they didn't have a drink carrier. So they had to give us a credit for the soda's they already charged us for because we had no where to put them. They advertise pretzels, but when you go to order one they don't have any that day. The soda's are ALWAYS dripping and sticky every single time. I don't know how hard it is to keep a wet towel next to the drive thru window and wipe down a soda before handing it to the customer, it takes maybe 3 seconds. I am posting here hoping they will see this and make the changes. Ive reached our on multiple occasions whenever we've had an issue. Because I do want to see them do well and know if there is an issue that can be fixed. Sometimes I get a response and other times it's silent and there is no response. When there is a response the excuse is they are a family owned business not a franchise. To me that is no excuse. We too own our own business and quality and consistency is our top focus. If you're going to pride yourself in being family owned make it something to be proud of then. With a franchise you will find consistency and quality. (Understand not everyone is perfect, but this is what makes a franchise well known) You don't find this at SodaRush. Lastly they are extremely over priced. I would understand if they offered something special or unique. But it's a Soda, it's nothing special but they are way overpriced compared to other soda shops in the valley. They can't even keep up with putting a logo on their cups. They have great marketing techniques. But I hope to see more of an effort put into consistency and making their service great instead of mediocre. read more

I love this place, they have great cookies and drinks and I come often, BUT recently I've been very frustrated because I purposefully always request for light ice and without fail every time my drink has been at least 2/3 ice if not more. If I wanted a cup of flavored ice, I wouldn't spend money on it. I have the SodaRush tumbler, I don't need that much ice to keep my drink cold. Please listen to your customer's requests, we come here for soda, not just flavored ice. read more

We just moved down the street and I knew I wanted to try this place as soon as I saw their store. We tried the Miguel and an Aloha both of which were delicious. I also got a Brookie, which was massive, while it was a little too sweet for me it was still very tasty. I look forward to trying their fudge, sugar cookies and cotton candy. I love the convenience of Soda Rush and the other soda shops and normally the people who work there are so friendly. However, today the guy at the window was a jerk. Ordered my drink, pull up to the window, and he literally opened the window. That's it. I almost had to get out of my car to hand him my money. Like didn't lean at all. No effort whatsoever. Give him my money and he grabs my drink and again, stands there holding the drink. No leaning, no reaching, just standing there holding it inside the window as if his skin might melt if it were to leave the confines of the building. Then, when I'm literally leaning out as far as I can he smirks. What a jerk. I'm paying to be treated like that by this kid? Nope. Not again! If management cares this was at about 3:55 and the employee was a bigger guy with dark hair and glasses. Clearly not a very motivated individual. read more

Here's the deal: I LOVED this place when it first opened. It's close to my home, the workers were friendly and worked quickly...but I honestly feel like ever since they opened their second location that all their time and efforts have gone into the new location. This one is going downhill. The service is very slow compared to other soda places in the area. The problem is usually because the employee turnover rate/constant need to train employees is high. I miss Grace and I miss Lori working the window. They were so quick and friendly. The last 2 times I've gone for a soda, the soda has either been flat or the mix has been wrong. If I'm paying a premium for soda, it had better be correct. Anyway-- I'm super bummed out that it's not as great anymore. I hope it improves! read more

Cookies and sodas are great but they don't make up for the horrible customer service provided by the owners. Hands down the worst customer experiences I have had. I typically don't post negative reviews but I have given them many chances and the owners continue to provide bad experiences. The employees do the best they can but their hands are tied due to poor leadership processes from owners. Also beware because Soda Rush does not list all the pricing on their menu and they don't provide or offer receipts when you purchase things. I am supportive of small businesses but not ones that repeatedly insult their customer base. Many previously loyal customers have had similar experiences so I hope the owners will decide to change their ways before they lose more customers. Do yourself a favor and buy cookies from Crumbl and/or drive further to go to Swig or Sodalicious. I promise you'll thank me. UPDATE: We finally received a response after we messaged Soda Rush's owners which consisted of personal attacks and defensiveness. I love this place and always get a diet DP with sugar free vanilla and sugar free coconut. There are tons of options and everyone is really friendly. The brookies are the greatest things ever. I even have a refillable tru-flask cup and LOVE it-- it holds my water when there's not soda in it. My only complaint is that if I forget to ask for light ice, I'm always disappointed because they fill up half your cup with ice. I've had all the drinks they offer and have not been disappointed, though The Frog Prince is my personal go to. The cookies are some of the best and on point, like home cooked by grandma. I have been here a few times in the past because one time I had an amazing cinnamon roll, but everytime I tried it again it wasn't as good. Plus, the service was always super rude. One time I witnessed, the cashier being really condescending to what appeared to be a young, foreign home stay student with her Caucasian host family, who the cashier was friendly too. The foreign student was just excited to try some American food and experience the culture. It was disgusting to witness such blatant racism. read more

I don't drink soda so I haven't been in a rush to try this place. Pun intended. I wanted a cold drink so I figured I'd see what they had. Turns out that they have a huge variety of non soda options too. I ordered a blood orange slush and my daughter had the BigFoot. Both were really good. We also tried four of their cookies. They were all good. My favorite was the sugar cookie which tasted just like my mother in law makes. They're amazing! The Brookie was a brownie shaped like a cookie; the Brookie was my daughters favorite. I'm glad we tried Soda Rush and we will be back. read more

First, I'm glad we finally have a soda specialty place somewhat close to us far east valley people (PS I would love one closer to San Tan if you're thinking of expanding)!! Second, OMG the cookies... that frosting (don't tell me the calorie count) is so delicious!! Third, they have coke and pepsi products, gatorade... TONS of choices!! They even have fudge, cotton candy, ice cream, dole whip, pretzels, you name it!! My only suggestion would be to hire more employees. We came in on a Saturday around 2pm and the drive through was 8 cars deep and inside the line was at least 4 groups deep. read more
