5 piece spicy tenders and fries
Katt T.

This place is pretty new to the Plaza of the America's building, and it always seems pretty busy, so I decided to give it a shot. I ordered a 5 piece spicy tenders combo, that normally would be too much for me, but other reviewers mentioned the tenders were really small, so I opted for the 5 piece instead of the 3 piece. They are right! I don't know if these are actually tenders, it seems more like they cut a chicken breast into strips. Nonetheless, the flavor is great, the fries were limited, but had good flavor, they seem to have a tempura batter, which I normally enjoy. They offer 2 sauces, I opted for buffalo and Korean bbq, the Buffalo seems like franks hot sauce to me, the Korean bbq was okay, I didn't eat much of it. The cost for the combo was $10.81 which is really pricey, but the quality seemed to be worth it. I'd definitely return again if I needed a quick option for lunch.

Absolutely the best Southern comfort food in town! I stopped…read moreinto Streets Chicken on a whim and left completely blown away. This place gets Southern classics right in every single way. The fried chicken was crispy, juicy, and perfectly seasoned -- hands down some of the best I've had. The deviled eggs were creamy, tangy, and had just the right touch of spice, making them dangerously addictive. Their collard greens were tender and smoky with that perfect Southern flavor, while the black-eyed peas were hearty and seasoned just right. The mac n' cheese was rich, gooey, and ultra-comforting, and the biscuits were fluffy, buttery clouds of heaven. Everything was washed down perfectly with their refreshing sweet tea -- strong, sweet, and exactly what you want with this kind of meal. The portions are generous, the staff is friendly, and the whole vibe feels like home-cooked Southern goodness done at a high level. If you're craving real deal fried chicken with all the fixings, Streets Chicken is an absolute must. I'll definitely be back soon -- and probably often! Highly recommend. 5 stars all the way! The food also was very solid and there was nothing I was not a fan of. To add, the Sin Killer chicken sandwich was absolutely the best grilled chicken sandwich I've ever had!! We finally stopped in and I'm so glad that we did, I got the red velvet waffle with chicken strips and I wasn't anticipating for the waffle to have much of the red velvet flavor but it really did and that was pleasantly surprised. The three chicken tenders that come with it were huge, hot and juicy. I wasn't totally sure of the spice level so I went with "Feeling Lucky" which was pretty mild but still delicious and well seasoned. The mac and cheese was creamy and the flavor of the cheese sauce reminded me a little of cheez whiz so it brought back a little bit of childhood nostalgia that I really liked it. Not as good as a baked mac and cheese would be with the golden cheese crust on top but it was still good nonetheless. My husband got a chicken wrap with fried okra and he said it was really tasty, I snuck a couple of pieces of his okra and really enjoyed it!! What's his is mine, right? The building is super cool and the decor is fun and unique and it's a great place to stop in for some hot chicken whether you're hanging out with friends or want a fun date spot.

Tucked into half the space Halal Guys formerly occupied across from Wabi House on lower Greenville, this order at the counter and get your food in 15-20 mins joint makes perfect fried chicken every time. There is a wide range of tasty sides, and the service is attentive and much better than expected. There are three chicken delivery formats (boneless wings, conventional wings, and "whole chicken" (chopped up in uniform chunks), and about 20 different sauce/flavor options. We got spicy original (crispy, moist and hot with a manageable kick) and loved every bite. The prices are reasonable (about $2 per wing) for a modern wing joint, and the quality of the product can't be beat, IMO. Check 'em out, and enjoy.

I ordered pickup, and everything was packed neatly and optimally for the chicken to remain crispy. The main reason why I'm docking off 1 star is some of the flavors/seasonings are too sweet. I know Korean food often leans into sweet flavors, but it was too much for me. I had to add a bunch of cayenne pepper to my Honey Garlic wings to balance it out. The cheesling fries were also too sugary for me. If there was slightly less sugar, they would've otherwise been perfect, because the fries themselves were cooked perfectly and, and I loved the cheese seasoning (minus the amount of sugar). Lastly, the pickled radish side was also too saccharine. I also ordered the spicy original wings, which were much more enjoyable. I know it's diabolical, but the American in me yearns for some dairy-based dipping sauce with my fried chicken. Luckily, I can customize to my taste buds at home, but I do see that as a personal deterrent for eating in-person.

Yes, DFW, Hattie B's has arrived in our region, and the same delicious chicken has come with it. I went in with side eye and doubt and left will a full stomach and a thirst for milk. My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - The red neon bars that line the roof act like a beacon leading you straight to Hattie's B. The white building has plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and even cornhole (although it seems misplaced). It's like someone took the Hattie B's in Nashville and imported it straight into Dallas. It's fast casual, so T-shirts and flipflops will fit right in. 1 Star. Service - You get in line, order, get a number, and the friendly staff will bring out our order. On our visit, the staff noticed the line getting long, so they opened up another station and took our order. They were very friendly and extra patient as we looked over the menu. 1 Star. Food - I had the fried chicken sandwich with the Sweet & Smoky Dry Rub and a side of Baked Beans. The chicken was plump, juicy, and easily eclipsed the size of the pillow soft bun. The chicken was piping hot, but the Cole slaw cooled the heat and the bun with Comeback Sauce held it all together. And the Baked Beans were the perfect side. Soft, sweet, and packed with bacon in every bite. But perhaps the best bite I had was the Nashville Hot Chicken Wings that had extra fried craggle to hold the extra heat. It's a slow burn that I countered with Banana Pudding (of course). A fantastic end to a fantastic meal. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. You can customize your sandwich any way you want. I chose Sweet & Smokey, but I'm tempted to try the Southern style (because they're open on Sunday). But those Nashville Hot Chicken Wings will ultimately be the reason I return. 1 Star.
