The staff not helping patrons and instead talking and watching the Olympics

The sales people here are super interested in watching the Olympics while there are tons of people in the store trying to find cleats and gear for the upcoming soccer season. We have been here for 35 minutes and the lady in the picture below has done nothing to help any of the customers. Just watching the Olympics, talking to colleagues and checking her phone. Pretty unreal. We just bought our cleats on Amazon instead of here. I recommend you do the same.

When I was just getting into football (soccer) I wasn't sure where to go to buy my first jersey. I didn't want it to be fake and I didn't want it to come from the internet just because I wanted my first ever shirt to be something special. I also knew that my first shirt would be of one of the players that inspire me and got me into the sport. It had to be Messi's jersey. So I went to Yelp for some help, and it showed me Soccer Pro. How awesome is it that it's located down Contra Costa. It's close to my community college and it's easy to access from the freeway. It's tucked away in a lot with Party City, and smoke shop. There's a satisfactory amount of parking by it. I've never seen this lot full so you can always drive up at any hour that it's open and not worry about driving around and around for a spot. It's not that big of a store, but it still has a lot of inventory of quality jerseys from Nike, Adidas, Puma, and the like. They have it neatly organized into sections. There's an Adidas section which have Argentina gear, Real Madrid, etc. They also go the Nike section with Barca, and the like. They've got a few interesting jerseys with popular names hanging up too. They sell cleats, shin pads, jerseys, sweats, balls, and a lot of other things that obviously have to do with soccer. My very first jersey was the 2014/2015 Barca jersey. It was right before they switched to the horizontal stripes. I called in to ask if they had any jerseys of that make. They told me that they did, but none with Messi's name already on it. I was troubled. How could I get Messi's jersey? Fortunately, the person on the phone said they also can put names on jerseys. LOVELY It took them only two days to this for me. Messi's name was neatly put on this authentic jersey. The jersey by itself would have been $90 but since I had them add the name, the cost racked up to $130. Ouch. Why do soccer jerseys have to be so expensive? That was a year ago, and I still have it. It's hasn't torn nor worn out. It's quality is still peachy clean and I wear this shirt a lot. Come by because they have really helpful employees. There's a nice amount of variety in regards to teams and names. As expensive as it all is, it makes sense. These are brand names. Jersey's in general are expensive. Of course, you can find some online, but if you need some IRL help, this is the place to go.

Soccer stores are rare in the Walnut Creek area. This place has a great selection of cleats, jerseys and accessories. I know a lot of people buy online where selection is virtually unlimited but if you're like me and need to try stuff on in person this is the place to go. The guys know their stuff and clearly are soccer players themselves. They have lots of Nike and Adidas cleats which are my favorites anyways. If you need a jersey for a major team (EPL, La Liga, etc) you can definitely find it. You're probably out of luck for more obscure teams. I didn't see a ton of MLS stuff other than the San Jose quakes.

When I called Precor support, their rep was pretty rude and condescending in general, but I managed to get the names of two authorized repair centers in the Bay Area. The first one in Hayward wanted to charge extra because they would have to hike down to South Bay so I gave Club Care a call. Gina who answered the phone was super friendly, quoted a fair price, didn't rush to get off the phone, and even put me in touch with someone there (Jeff) who could answer my questions specific to our elliptical machine and the problems we were having with it. I was impressed with how Jeff treats his potential customers. Anthony who came out to fix our machine was great - he quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it in no time flat and even answered all my questions about preventative maintenance for the future. Give these guys a shot when your exercise machine needs maintenance or repair!

When my stationary bike needed a fix, I was given (like the previous reviewer) two choices by the…read moremanufacturer. Choice #1 was crap; the rep was totally uninterested in what was wrong with the bike, but totally interested in describing the high cost of having the problem diagnosed, fixed, etc... And so I called ClubCare. What a relief! Starting with the initial phone call and ending with the resolution of my issue, ClubCare provided outstanding service. Jeff (the guy who handled most of the situation) listened closely to the "symptoms" affecting my bike, and was able to provide a diagnosis over the phone and have a part ordered to be delivered to my house. I had the choice of installing it myself (to save the time and $ of having a ClubCare service rep come to my house) or have an on-site service call. I handled the repair myself, with some minor coaching from Jeff, and now I have a fully operational bike. It was really refreshing to have ClubCare explore the options that would work best in my circumstances and provide me with a reasonable price to fix the bike. Very different than Choice #1 (see above) that provided me with a rote, uninterested approach to my broken bike. I think ClubCare works mainly with health clubs and gyms (lucky them), but I have to say that ClubCare treated me (an individual bike owner) like I was just as important as any other "big" customer.

The right shoes--and the right guidance--can make all the difference…read more I returned to Road Runner Sports after my Nike Pegasus 42s started feeling unstable, almost like my ankle was rolling and the cushioning was off. Thanks to the VIP program, I was able to exchange them within the 90-day return window and work with Travis again. Travis is knowledgeable, patient, and great at explaining how each shoe moves and supports your foot. Based on his demonstration, I switched to the Brooks Glycerin Flex, and I'm glad I did. During a run, I stepped into a hole in the pavement, and I truly believe the stability of the shoe helped keep the injury from being much worse. Road Runner Sports is an excellent resource for runners and athletes because the staff considers your stride, foot strike, comfort, and activity level--not just the shoe's appearance. The prices are comparable to other retailers, but here you also receive expert guidance and the added protection of the VIP return policy. Congratulations to Travis and his future bride on their upcoming Halloween wedding! I definitely recommend this location.

It was out of the 90 day guarantee window, so he did not expect a free pair of shoes, more guidance on why they're starting to do that when he was told the insoles will help combat that. The young lady that helped us said the insoles were cut wrong, and asked the manager if he would replace them, as they were done incorrectly. The manager said no, as it was out of the 90 day guarantee window. Should the insoles had worn down because of my husband, that's different. Because they were cut incorrectly, that is the stores fault, not my husbands. The young lady asked if he would like his old (cut incorrectly) insoles in his new shoes. Why would that help if they were cut incorrectly? We left with a new pair of shoes, no insoles, and very dissatisfied. I would not purchase custom insoles here, as they are not what they are marketed.
