Great selection of used and new sporting goods would recommend bought a new wedge and some balls for a great deal

Everything is overpriced! Folks are better off shopping on eBay or going to a garage sale to find pre-owned sports equipment! Their quotes for your used sports equipment are laughable. Please don't waste your time making the trip! Save your gas... Like I said, better off selling it on your own via eBay, Mercari, or Facebook marketplace! read more

These guys are so helpful!! They just put air in my bicycle tire free of charge after fixing my front tire last week! They are so helpful and very honest and reliable and very friendly. I really really appreciate them. If you play sports or ride your bike they will help. Keep you on the trails and doing what you enjoy. I highly recommend them. read more

This place was a great find, hole in the wall sports shop! Mostly everything is used, sometimes you may find almost like new items. They also have gym equipments, weights. They had soccer and other special shoes (all used), hockey, ice skates, roller skates, helmets, ice skating accessories (not too many but decent), fishing rods, paddle boards, ski and snow boards. We found an almost new pair of ice skates and some other stuff. Not sure if we would go again but definitely good for those growing kids and their needs. The staff was helpful too, although no one can actually point you to the right size, right brand or sometimes even the sports. You just walk around and find yourself stuff, no one to assist. Definitely a good value for those expensive sports and hobbies. read more

I was looking to buy a bike, I found one for 290 with a cracked seat from them: the staff is really cool specially MJ but the guy that comes out to asses the bikes for purchase it's very rude and doesn't even look you in the eye or shakes your hand or even greets you! He just says give him 30 for each of the two specialized bikes I brought. read more

Not helpful at all, called in to ask if they had hockey pucks, he just said I'm not sure if we even have them anymore, and said I don't even know what type they are. But wouldn't go check literally making a pointless effort to call because I have to drive to check myself anyways. read more

This place carries both used and new sports equipment for adults and children! I came in looking for some kneepads for my son's volleyball and the two people that were working here which is so friendly and kind and really went above and beyond trying to help me. The prices are also surprisingly, very reasonable for new items. I will definitely come here again when I need something as my kids are starting sports now. read more

Great spot! Alex had just put away his ski gear till October however he gave my brother and I excellent information. The goodwill has great used gear in Tahoe, everything will be 50% off. Wow- great customer service!! Super helpful team, eager to answer my questions. Very knowledgeable about many different pieces of equipment. Very affordable prices. A LOT of brand new, in the box inventory. I found everything I was looking for. Also- they have a bunch of LEFTY golf clubs! PSA: As a community, we ALL need to be shopping used FIRST. Less waste, less consumption. I know it's easier to just click "order" on Amazon but please think about supporting our local businesses. I usually am okay paying more if it means local, but here you are actually saving money! Certainly we can all put that savings towards something else. read more

Great spot, great location, and great customer service. I bought an O'Neil wetsuit for $49 and got help with the fitting and sizing and could try it on in store. What more could you ask from a used sporting good store! Buy used! read more

In the last 4 years of been here about 7-8 times. I don't come often anymore. About twice a year. With that being said. Its good to read recent reviews to get updated reviews. However, in my experiences. I have loved this place for the great service, selection, and prices. Consistent stock of used/vintage, bikes, surf gear, athletic/sports/training gear. Check out their hours as I remember they used to be closed one day a week. Parking lot Entrance/exit is a tight turn on a busy street. read more

Quick and easy! Kids bike inventory flips pretty quickly and we only had a couple bikes to choose from but Bethel was very helpful, knowledgeable, and patient. He helped us evaluate the couple options and we decided to purchase one of them. They have a 7-day money back guarantee should we decide to change our minds after we get home. I recommend this business. read more

Just bought a set of Irons and the knowledgeable staff really helped me feel confident on my selection, and that's the other part they have a huge array to suit the beginner the average golfer and the golfer who is terrible but is in denial (myself) Also picked up some weight equipment so it was a great day and saved a lot from other online golf shops !!! read more

Brought in a 'like new' matched golf cart and bag. They gave me a great price for it. Did it all in 15 minutes. Nice folks.

I love this place! You simply can't beat the prices and selection. I called in this morning to ask about golf push carts. They're about $100 on the low end for new three-wheel carts on Amazon. I was told over the phone that Play it Again had several two-wheel and three-wheel carts and that the three-wheel ones started at around $50. Sounded like a bargain to me! I drove over during my lunch break and found about a dozen used carts, both two-wheel and three-wheel ones. The two-wheel carts were around $20 and the three-wheel ones were indeed around $50, like the staff member told me over the phone. I looked at each one and stopped in my tracks when I found a three-wheel cart in great condition for... $25! I picked it up and the counter employee told me that the return policy is seven days for a cash refund. Literally to nothing to lose! I can't wait to take this cart out for a spin. By the way, does Play it Again sell the cheapest clubs on the planet? There was a barrel of clearance used clubs for $1.50 each or $5 for five. The regular priced ones are $1.99 and up. read more

Best in customer service. The staff who is there assisting customers is very helpful and attentive to the customers the moment you walk in. I came in several times for the heavy duty rubber tile flooring, often enough that the employees recognize me. I bought 30 tiles total. The employees are always super helpful and kind. . However, today, I went in and noticed the sign said $10.99/ea and I believed I'd been paying $10/ea. Not a big deal right but I asked about it because I'd already bought so many and I needed to buy 5 more. Well, an employee asked the owner about the pricing and the attitude the owner gave me was completely dismissive and rude. He said I must have bought the cheaper foam tiles and if I wanted any more, I could have them for 10.99. Then he threw his arms up, turned his back, and walked away from me. Are you kidding me???? Uhhhhh I'm not an idiot and I'm not blind and I know exactly which tiles I bought because I had already purchased 25 of them over the last week and the other employees had all helped me before with those EXACT tiles . His tone of voice and body language were completely inappropriate and unprofessional. I was clearly upset by the exchange and the employees apologized for how he treated me and said he was just in a rush. Guess what homie, we're all in a rush and life is hard. Regardless of what you have going on, you don't need to be a dick to the only female customer in the store, when all I was looking for was clarification on the pricing. I wasn't trying to haggle or get a deal. I just wanted to know if the price had gone up because I was told I was paying $10/each! I loved this place but I'm disgusted by how rude the owner is and I doubt I'll be back. read more

This afternoon I went in to this location to inquire about electric bikes. The Clerks there were clueless. They said they didn't have any Electric bikes. Than all of a sudden this bearded Caucasian male steps up and say's he has some in the 2k and 1k and would show them to me after he takes care of a customer. But not before blasting the competition LECTRIC BIKES. Which sell for $800.00. I waited and waited and than Made eye contact as he was exiting the premises and no word from him. I waited some more and asked the other clerks when is he going to see me? Their answer was he is out too lunch. In conclusion the staff there are very inconsistent. I frequently go to this place and forgot to write a review. It's my go to place if I'm looking for equipment and not sports apparel and hats. I recently bought a hand pump for my sons sports equipment and ran into a newly used recumbent bike cruiser that was perfect size for lil man. It was at a low price and I even got a little discount on top of the price tag because of the five star point system. I had also recently acquired a new mountain bike and needed a bike pump and a new tire. I had bought a new pump with the new tire for under $50. The people who work there are friendly and informative. They also helped me change out my tire and explained the difference between standard tires and presta air valves. I will continue to go here to get my sporting equipment needs. Next up, we are looking for a Badminton net setup. read more

Prices are near or over retail. $5+ for a 3-pack of tennis balls? That's a bit of a joke. Plus, the canister of tennis balls has been opened. I understand that overhead expenses determines a great deal of what the prices would be but I also think they should do a bit of secondary market research. They're selling a pair of used Bowflex dumbbells near retail when other people on facebook or craigslist sell the same item, in comparable condition, far cheaper and without taxes. I've looked at their online store which blends in the inventory of other stores and the prices there aren't nearly as blasphemous as the prices in this location. I'd avoid with 10ft pole. Just make sure you don't buy the pole here. read more

I've been a pretty loyal customer, popping into this store whenever the urge strikes - which, let's be real, is quite often after a round of disc golf with a buddy who's never been the store's biggest fan (he thinks they might moonlight as a "stolen stuff" distribution center), we decide we would stop by to purchase a disc or two. Within minutes, an employee addressed my friend by name and proceeded to launch into a barrage of insults referencing a negative Google review he had posted earlier. This confrontation happened in full view of other customers, creating an atmosphere of discomfort for all present. Even at the checkout counter, the employee's confrontational approach persisted. My friend attempted to explain that he had since removed the review and had discussed the matter with the owner. Surprisingly, the employee revealed himself to be a part owner and continued the unprofessional behavior. I interjected and expressed my deep disappointment in how the employee was handling the situation. It was a difficult decision, but I chose to put back the items I had intended to purchase and left the store. This entire incident has left a sour taste in my mouth, and I have serious reservations about returning to Play It Again Sports unless a sincere apology is offered to my friend for his mistreatment. read more

I been a customer here for the last 2 years and I been buying every week sometime twice a week for golf clubs sets or pieces. I am a re-seller and I buy my clubs in bulk and sometimes some of my sets are missing a club or two. I sometimes find them here. I sell my most of my sets international. I calculated I spend an average of $100 to $200 a week on this store. Thats an average of 5k to 10k a year. But I don't think I will be coming back on this store anymore. I had an encounter with the store owner Alex and he said something to me that's inappropriate and left an distasteful feeling. Why I don't know, all I know that I may not comeback here anymore. my receipts from oct-nov. so far I spent over $600. I guess they don't mind losing a regular costumer like me. Oh well, its their lost not mine. read more

I spent $330+ on a Saturday buying golf clubs. My first day with the driver and it breaks. I might have swung it 3 times. I came back 4 days later at 3:30pm and I'm greeted by one of the clerks asking his manager what time it was.. basically not wanting to let me in. The store manager refused to let me exchange the driver although it was within the 7day period. Says I could be lying.. lying about what I don't know. Then he says if I want to buy a new one he will give me a discount. Why would I want to buy a new one when you obviously buy gear that breaks. There is no store pride here. They wanted to close up and get me out as quick as possible. read more

Play It Again Sports - Receipt - Sporting Goods Near Me - Concord, California

This is by far the absolute best Play it Again Sports in Northern California. I've been to half a dozen other locations and the Concord location blows all of them out of the water in every way. Alex, the owner, is a solid, stand up guy and always employs an upbeat, knowledgeable staff. I will literally drive a hundred miles and pass multiple other PIAS just to bring my used sporting goods here to sell. When it comes to buying sporting goods, I'd much rather support a small business like this, yes they're all individually owned franchises, than spend my money at the big box corporate sporting good stores. Would definitely recommend giving them a look before anywhere else in the area. read more

These guys are great for so many things, but I'm just here to say: DO NOT BRING THEM YOUR BIKE. First time bringing my bike to them: The tire needed to be fixed. They said it would take a week. It took A MONTH AND A HALF. And they kept jerking me around and lying to me about how long it would take. That much time and $40 later? They didn't even fix it properly. My tire popped again a few days later and, when I asked for a refund, they wouldn't give it to me because "the bike guy quit" (which seems like bs now because it's the same dude who "only comes in on Tuesdays"). Also... isn't it the *store's* responsibility to give the refund if I paid for work that was done improperly? Second time bringing my bike to them: So, like an idiot, I take my bike back, hoping this time will be different. (By the way, this is the fix the problem that they caused, which they never gave me any kind of discount for). At first they say it will take a week because "the bike guy only comes in on Tuesdays", but as I'm about to take it elsewhere, one of the kids chimes in and says "oh, it will probably be done in 5 days". His colleague even looked at him like "really?", but my dumb ass just wants the damn thing fixed, so I believe them this time. It has been a week. No phone call with an update, no idea how long it's going to be, for a problem that I personally know is no more than an hour's worth of work. I'm holding my breath to see how long it will take this time and if it will be a hack job again. Giving 3 stars because I love that this place is here and that they're open during COVID, but I'm getting pretty fed up with being lied to about bike repair, especially because I just want to support a neighborhood business. Might go down to two stars if I'm jerked around again. Waiting to see. read more
