We visited on Saturday, February 22, 2025 around 4pm. The parking lot was busy, but there was still parking. They have a private lot shared with the shopping center. The store is huge. There are 2 levels. Upstairs has swim wear, golfing equipment, Yeti coolers and cups, and lots of SF Warriers and 49er gear. If you are looking for a gift this is the place to go. Downstairs they have clothing separated by brand. They have a large selection of soccer Jerseys from all different teams around the world. They even have their local team the Roots, who are located in Oakland. They even have a batting cage you can rent out by the minute. 15 minutes for $15, and so on. It appears that you bat from a tee not a machine. They had a large selection of bats in the batting cage. No one was using it while we were in there. They also have a glove steamer. I'm not sure if you need assistance to use it or it's on your own. I saw one couple using it when we walked by. Socks were buy 1 get 3 free when we were there. Mostly they were winter/Christmas fuzzy socks. A great deal, but I don't need anymore stuff. Overall, the store was a mess. Stuff was everywhere. You'd think you found a sale rack because everything was hanging on it all mismatched, as it turn out those are go back racks. I wonder if you go first thing in the morning would everything be put away and more organized? If you aren't shopping for anything in particular then this is the store for you. If you are hunting out something specific, good luck finding your item.

Really love the store layout, not sterile, has personality to it, the variety of sports items, apparel, shoes, and was even pleasant enough with the air-conditioning and fans on. Can't give it 5 Stars, though. Would love to, but this place has more items missing price tags than Grocery Outlet! Mentioned it to a couple of the employees, one replied there are "some items" where that is true ( more than some ), and another assured me that the items I was referring to had price tags on them. Yeah, No! At least in the energy bars / nutrition / protein powders / hydration packs, etc. department. Yes, there are some stickers designating price / bar and price / box, which IS helpful, then...a row or two or three of suddenly no price tags. And look at it this way, if you're going to put in the effort to label containers with expiration dates like "5/27" ( which seems like the store did in the spirit of good customer service ), then you CAN actually make the effort to clarify to the customer what item is what price. ( Why does this seem like basic Common Sense here, and if managers are not on top of this problem, then that is on them. I spent too much time walking the aisles, trying to find pricing, asking for help to scan items, discovering more things without pricing. Fix that problem ASAP. Or install a scanner in parts of the store for customers to utilize on their own. ) Overall, check out the store. Here's another reason why: I observed (2) separate employees, one younger 20's male in the running shoe department, one latter 20's female in the ski boot department, personally attending to customers, giving their input on products, doing some old-school sales and persuasion. VERY GOOD to see that. Both had product knowledge, were hands-on, was refreshing to see. Thumbs up!

The old lady that works there was unexpectedly rude during an unprompted interaction. With no eye contact or interaction between us she walked up to be and began speaking to me. When I looked up I was just confused because I wasn't even sure she was talking to me or the other person who also walked up next to me on the other side. When I didn't respond her attitude escalated and she spoke to me in a condescending, "talking at" manner, as if I didn't understand English. The completely unprovoked rudeness was so unwarranted.

Stopped into Road Runner Sports in Concord looking for a new shoe for my upcoming Presidio race and ended up having a really great experience. I was greeted immediately and helped by Travis, who walked me through their foot analysis process. They have a scanner that provides a detailed report on your foot size, gait, arch type, and overall movement patterns. It was fascinating to see all the information and learn more about how I walk and train. After trying several options, I went with the Nike Pegasus 42, and they are incredibly comfortable. I also signed up for their VIP Family program, which includes discounts on purchases and a 90-day return policy, making it easy to feel confident about the investment. The store carries a great selection of running, walking, and athletic shoes for both men and women, along with apparel, supplements, socks, and accessories. The experience was so good that I actually went back the next day and picked up the cutest running hat that says "Cheaper Than Therapy Run Club." I fully plan on wearing it to the race. On my second visit, Alberto helped me and provided the same excellent customer service. I also learned about their weekly community run/walk club, which meets Thursdays at 6 PM and utilizes the nearby Iron Horse Regional Trail. It's open to runners, walkers, families, kids, and even dogs, making it a welcoming option for all fitness levels. Overall, a fantastic experience and a great resource whether you're a seasoned runner or someone just beginning their journey.

He noticed my mother-in-law was wearing a 7.5 wide and although it was a good fit, suggested an 8 wide instead to better accommodate her feet. And it was! She felt more balance and less tension and it showed on the treadmill when she was able to increase her MPH. He didn't just stop at the size, though; he performed a full walking analysis and constantly monitored her stride to ensure the fit was perfect. Even though the store was incredibly busy, Marcos never rushed us. He must have gone back and forth to the stockroom at least a dozen times to pull different options, knowing full well we were only there to buy one pair. He personally swapped her insoles into every single shoe she tried on--and we probably went through about 8 different pairs in various sizes. His expertise really shines when he talks about the technical side of things, like toe-gap and overall comfortability. On top of the technical fit, he has a great eye for aesthetics; he picked out colors that perfectly matched my mother-in-law's personal style. It's rare to find this kind of dedicated service. We will definitely be coming back to see Marcos when it's time to get shoes for my wife!

I thought I could get away with wearing my everyday sneakers and old tennis racket that had been hanging out in my closet but after 3 classes and pain in my feet and hand, I googled a tennis shop and Mriva Sports popped up. I swung (no pun intended) by one afternoon, needing shoes and a new racket. He had a nice selection of court shoes and after a trying on several brands, I found one that felt snug and supportive for my feet needs. For a racket, he was able to give me an overview of types of rackets, grip size (turned out that I needed a smaller grip size), weight, etc. Since I didn't know what type of racket I wanted - control vs power, he suggested trying out his program of trying out different rackets each week over the course of a month for $25. I have worn the court shoes several times now and it has been so comfortable when running around on the court. No longer do my feet hurt. For the rackets, I came back after a week and decided which racket I liked. It turned out to be a power racket. Deepak strung it and I was able to pick it up the next day. I played with the racket and wow, it made so much of a difference when hitting the ball. No hand pain. Deepak is really knowledgeable and helpful about tennis equipment.
